Migrated from the Philippines in 1973, Dr. Joseph M. Arzadon, an Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, where he attended local schools. He received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the George Washington University, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School Of Dentistry, and received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he became Chief Resident from 1995-1996.
Starting out as an associate in 1996, Dr. Arzadon quickly gained the trust and confidenceof his colleagues and patients. In October 1997, he founded Northern Virginia Surgical Arts with the opening of the first office in Arlington. In December 2000, the second office was established in Gainesville. In June 2002, the cosmetic practice was expanded with the opening of The Spa Clinic in Gainesville. In September 2006, the third office was opened in Manassas Park.Dr. Arzadon has privileges at the Washington Hospital Center. His special interests are facial cosmetic, dental implant, and reconstructive surgery. Since he first opened his practice, Dr. Arzadon has performed over a thousand facial cosmetic procedures and placed thousands of dental implants along with major bone grafting as well as routine oral surgery and maxillofacial surgeries.In his spare time, Dr. Arzadon volunteers as Chief Medical Officer of the Medical Mission of Mercy, USA (also known as the Philippine-American Medical Mission of the Metro-Washington DC, Inc.). This is a non-profit health organization, which provides free medical and dental care to poverty stricken people in the Philippines. To date, they have treated over 60,000 patients. Dr. Arzadon has been an active volunteer to the medical missions in the Philippines, providing cleft lip and palate surgery since 1997, and has personally treated over 300 patients with cleft lip and palate.
He met his wife, Catherine Panlilio, M.D., during a medical mission. They are blessed with three very young children, Christopher, Robertand Lauren Marie. They live in Falls Church, Virginia, where he enjoys gardening and keeping koi ponds.Dr. Arzadon remains current with the newer techniques in the field of maxillofacial and cosmetic surgery through continuing education. He believes in treating patients in the same way he would his family, and that listening is the key to a successful outcome.

what a great experience at nova surgical arts. dr. arzadon was my surgeon , mike and jessica were the surgical assistants and nancy and lindsey were the patient coordinators . everyone was beyond kind and attentive . i had all of my wisdom teeth removed and it was so quick and easy. thank you all so much

I had a crown break off along with part of my tooth, which was left fractured and needed to be pulled. I also ended up with partial dry socket and needed to go back for some packing. Kathy (Cathy?) is soooo sweet. An absolutely lovely and encouraging person. The receptionists are great, too. Dr. Arzadon definitely knows what he's doing. He was very good with me and my teeth, and I appreciated his expertise. However, the way he treated the techs and assistants at times made me uncomfortable. It felt like he was treating them as inferior tools rather than competent, capable professionals. Would I trust him with my dental care? Absolutely. But if someone in the field asked about that as a place of employment, I would explicitly suggest finding someone else to work alongside.

This practice is absolutely wonderful. The entire staff is kind, caring, & professional. I was quite anxious about having my extraction and everyone put me at ease. Jenn and Jaida helped make the process of registering easy and pleasant. Dr. Liang & Mike were an amazing team. Mike even called around 7:00 pm on a Friday night to check on me.

I absolutely love Dr Arzadon and his team they are very professional, friendly and always make you feel very comfortable. I had my 4 wisdom extraction almost 15 years ago and today my son had 4 wisdom extracted. Everything went smoothly and was given all the supplies needed for my son's at-home healing. I'll be seeing you all soon I have to bring in my daughter for her extraction next. Thank you so very much for your excellent care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Everyone at the Manassas Park location was so kind and accommodating! I had my wisdom teeth removed about two weeks ago and was nervous about the procedure, but Cathy, Stacie, and Dr. Liang made me feel so comfortable. It felt like the procedure flew by and there were no complications whatsoever, even in the following weeks. Highly recommend all three of them. Nancy, the patient coordinator, was also such a friendly face to be greeted by and handled all of the administrative stuff so well. Thanks to their hospitable attitudes, the procedure was so easy and much less scary than I had anticipated. :)

Beware of this office. If they don't take your insurance, they charge you a $97.00 consultation fee. They never told me up front that they would charge me this fee. Since Delta Dental insurance won't cover wisdom teeth extraction, and this office does not take Anthem Insurance, they should have told me up front about the consultation fee.

Just got my wisdom teeth extracted, everything went great from start to finish. Sedation was perfects, and I left with a clear head. 10/10 Would recommend!

I was a little nervous about having my daughter's wisdom teeth removed, however the staff and dentist at his practice was very cautious and careful. Dr. Liang even called us that evening to make sure my daughter was fine that evening.

Mrs. Stacy was wonderful and amazing! Im grown, but terrified from needles and doctor visits. Mrs. Stacy let me hold her hand and was trying to distract me as Dr. Liang was putting the needle in. She made sure i was comfortable and our conversations were delightful. She is a great person all around and i hope everything goes great for her! Dr. Liang was fabulous as well. He made sure i was ready and comfortable with everything before he began. He kept reassuring me which really helped my nerves. Instead of making me feel like a burden with my nerves, they made me feel it was okay to be nervous and that i was safe and they were here for me. I hope this shows the office and others considering this place how pleasant of a dentist visit this was for me. If i had more wisdom teeth, id definitely see them again! Thank you!

My initial appointment was in Gainesville and scheduled my wisdom teeth extraction at this location. Dental offices give me anxiety, so you can only imagine how I felt about oral surgeons office. The staff was extremely nice, caring, and understanding. The doctor called me a few hours after to get an update.

Staff gave us one price in advance for the cost of the procedure, we have Tricare Prime... I paid in full on the day of the surgery. A month after the surgery they bill me almost the same amount I paid and said Tricare would only cover a tiny bit so we owed them $1,000 more. Isn't their job to co tact Tricare in advance to give me an estimate? Bottom line, I had not even used any of my benefits for this child that year, it's just that the office fees are so high, Tricare would not ok it. I should not have had to pay twice and would have gone elsewhere had we known, but I foolishly trusted the staff that they were giving me the accurate fees. Then, they threatened to sue us. If you are a military family in NoVA, AVOID THIS OFFICE, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER and not honor TRICARE pricing.
