Migrated from the Philippines in 1973, Dr. Joseph M. Arzadon, an Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, where he attended local schools. He received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the George Washington University, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School Of Dentistry, and received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he became Chief Resident from 1995-1996.
Starting out as an associate in 1996, Dr. Arzadon quickly gained the trust and confidenceof his colleagues and patients. In October 1997, he founded Northern Virginia Surgical Arts with the opening of the first office in Arlington. In December 2000, the second office was established in Gainesville. In June 2002, the cosmetic practice was expanded with the opening of The Spa Clinic in Gainesville. In September 2006, the third office was opened in Manassas Park.Dr. Arzadon has privileges at the Washington Hospital Center. His special interests are facial cosmetic, dental implant, and reconstructive surgery. Since he first opened his practice, Dr. Arzadon has performed over a thousand facial cosmetic procedures and placed thousands of dental implants along with major bone grafting as well as routine oral surgery and maxillofacial surgeries.In his spare time, Dr. Arzadon volunteers as Chief Medical Officer of the Medical Mission of Mercy, USA (also known as the Philippine-American Medical Mission of the Metro-Washington DC, Inc.). This is a non-profit health organization, which provides free medical and dental care to poverty stricken people in the Philippines. To date, they have treated over 60,000 patients. Dr. Arzadon has been an active volunteer to the medical missions in the Philippines, providing cleft lip and palate surgery since 1997, and has personally treated over 300 patients with cleft lip and palate.
He met his wife, Catherine Panlilio, M.D., during a medical mission. They are blessed with three very young children, Christopher, Robertand Lauren Marie. They live in Falls Church, Virginia, where he enjoys gardening and keeping koi ponds.Dr. Arzadon remains current with the newer techniques in the field of maxillofacial and cosmetic surgery through continuing education. He believes in treating patients in the same way he would his family, and that listening is the key to a successful outcome.

Buyer Beware. Be ready to spend 1.5% if you use a credit card. Debit card too even though they don't pay a fee. Greedy doctors. Oral surgeons are paid the highest among all surgeons. If I didn't have insurance they would have charged me $460 for a CT scan of mouth that takes 3 minutes. My insurance cost was $84. I took my $15K in business elsewhere.

I had my wisdom teeth extraction with the team from NOVA surgical arts. First consult was in manassas and surgery was in Gainesville. I would like to thank Dr. Liang for great care of my surgery and calling me after my surgery to check on me. Also want to thank Linsey, Jaida, Stacie, Rocio, Nancy, Jessica and Cathy! I had a tooth pulled and now additional visits in preparation for an implant. They have always be courteous, thoughtful and kind. They spend time with you explaining all the procedures. I've been very pleased with my experience with this group.

I came in 15 minutes early for my appointment since it is my first time and based on the great reviews I was excited to get great work done in the future. My appt was only for a consultation. After 30 minutes I asked to see when I would be called back. I was told 10-15. After an hour and 30 minutes I was still not called back. At this point I believe I should just leave. This is ridiculous. At this point every one that has been here before and after me have been attended and after talk to receptionist all i have been told is "you will be back shortly".

The best place ever, the surgery was for my older brother and he was amazed , this clinic is not just friendly all the staff are professionals, Rocio Meza is amazing she surely make the difference for every patient and she is bilingual "Ella habla espanol" ... thank you Rocio

I've been a patient of Dr Arzadon's for 15 years. He and his staff in the Gainesville office (Rosio in particular) are warm, professional and extremely competent. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Dr. Blaise and his staff; Rosio, Jessica, Nancy and Linsey are the BEST!! I couldn't have had a better experience. Every staff member made me feel comfortable and welcome. They took their time to explain the procedure, answer my questions, and address my concerns. Due to the extensive nature of my procedure I elected light sedation. I never had any discomfort or felt any pain during the procedure. They took GREAT care of me. Thank you to all the staff. Your level of care and professionalism was truly a gift. I highly recommend Dr. Blais and Northern Virginia Surgical Arts to anyone needing implant surgery, bone grafting, or sinus lift surgery.

By the time I reached this office (referred to Dr. Blais), I had lost hope and trust in dentists with regards to my issue. It didn't help that my emergency happened in the throws of the pandemic. Well months later, not only did Dr Blais successfully perform an extraction (I'm a 50+ bundle of bad nerves when it comes to dentists), he had been entrusted to complete my implant process. He addressed and explained my questions, concerns and confusion. He and his team - Linsey, Noella, Jessica, Rocio, Cathy - were amazing. Jessica calmed me down (and laughed at/with me) that by the time the procedure began, I was ready. The warm atmosphere, the friendliness and communication were great! I'd recommend them. All of the doctors are highly recommended but Dr Blais was my 'hero of the moment'! Thank you, Northern Virginia Surgical Arts - Gainesville!

We went to both Gainesville and Arlington offices. Both were equally fantastic from the service and ease in making the appointment, through to the end of the procedure. Staff were knowledgeable, helped put myself and my son at ease. They were professional and appear to genuinely love what they do. Dr Blais was wonderful and explained everything. My son did not received any pain prescription when he had left there. One of his teeth was extremely impacted. So it was struggle for the first week.
