A dental implant is a holistic and natural dental restoration used to replace missing teeth. Unlike other treatments that rely on natural teeth (or gum tissue) for support, dental implants become a permanent part of your smile, mimicking the design of a natural tooth root. Each biocompatible implant is set into the mouth near the area where a previous natural tooth once stood. A recipient of multiple Top Dentist awards from Northern Virginia Magazine, Dr. Wangs focus is on the conservative treatment of gum disease including soft tissue reconstructive surgery and dental implants. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), School of Dentistry in 1991. Following an intense one-year Medical General Practice Residency at MCV Hospital, he went on to complete a two-year Surgical residency in Periodontics. Post residence, he continued at MCV as Assistant Professor in Periodontics and was highly recognized by his peers upon his departure in 1998 with a Staff Appreciation Award. Dr. Wang has been practicing in NoVA since 1997, and has been recognized by his colleagues as one of the best periodontists in the area.
Immigrating from Taipei as a teen, Dr. Wang dabbled in various sports competing as a sprinter in the state track meet in high school, winning MVP in the Fairfax County softball league, and is an avid tennis hobbyist. He spends his time away from the office with his wife, four-year-old son and his rescue pit-bull dog Zeus.
Our Board Certified Dentist, Dr. Lins main interests are implant site development which includes advanced bone reconstruction and soft tissue plastic surgery. He obtained his diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology soon after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He received numerous awards including membership into the Omicron Kappa Opsilon Honor Dental Society. He further pursued training in Periodontology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine for three years where he also obtained his Masters in Oral Biology. At graduation, he is the recipient of the Directors Award reserved for one resident a year based on clinical and academic excellence. He stayed on as a Fellow of Periodontology for a year where he learned advanced clinical research.In 2015, Dr. Lin completed a 2 year implant periodontal-prosthesis fellowship from the University of Baltimore School of Dental Surgery.

I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Wang and his practice. The appointment scheduling was simple, and the front desk staff was polite and thorough uppn check-in and check-out. Dr. Wang gave a thorough periodontic exam and explained my situation and all my options. I felt like he was genuinely giving me the best path forward for my health and not just out to get money. He has a pleasant demeanor, and I will definitely continue to use his services

Dr Wang was wonderful! He's a great listener, has excellent bed-side manner and did a great job. He really showed caring, and empathy for my particular circumstances. I appreciate that he is not just in his profession for the money, he took time to explain to me my treatment plan, and I was left with the feeling the he is a dentist that really cares. I have a periodontist I can trust now, Thank you, Dr. Wang!

I called to express some anxiety about an upcoming bone graft surgery and after having some discussion with the Dr., he recommended removing the tooth without examining further. I left the conversation feeling like he didn't really care about me as a patient and only cared about the money in my wallet. I went and got a second opinion who thoroughly examined my teeth and reassured me that I wouldn't feel the pain with local anesthetic. She also gave me some anti anxiety medication to help me feel less anxiety. So glad I went and got a second opinion. I didn't have to lose my tooth or be stuck with an immovable implant and unsightly permanent gaps.

Dr. Wang is personable, and an excellent periodontist. I was referred to him by my dentist who thought I needed gum surgery. Dr. Wang suggested a gum care regimen that was a lot better, and cost effective. The staff are all pleasant, professional, and easy to work with.

I am always pleased and impressed with the best service and demeanor of Dr. Wang and his entire team. Keisha was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the different insurances. Sandra is very friendly and engaging. Most importantly Dr. Wang thoroughly explained what he was doing and why, what we needed to be doing until the next visit, and what might be expected in our next visits. Seeing that I had a really bad gum infection on my front teeth, everyone took the time to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Many thank you's to Dr. Wang and his staff for an exceptional experience!

I first visited Dr. Wang's office in July of this year 2017. Dr. Wang was very professional, he explained to me in detail everything I needed to know and did not mind if I needed to ask questions.....which I did. He was very patient and provided a clear understanding of everything that was getting ready to happen. The office is very clean and I felt very comfortable...And Keisha the Office Manager was very courteous and provided superb customer service. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang to anyone.
