Dr. Huy Trinh is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. (Go Hokies!) Always wanting to live in New York City, he pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at New York University. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency at Saint Vincents Catholic Medical Center in New York City. He then returned to Washington, DC and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Washington Hospital Center. His residency program included training at Childrens National Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and the Veterans Affairs Hospital. There, he gained extensive training on dental implant surgery, facial trauma, as well as reconstructive and corrective jaw surgery. In his final year, he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Trinhs clinical interests include 3D surgical planning, dental implants, facial trauma, and orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery. He has been the principal and co-investigator of research projects related to these topics and presented his research at national conferences.
Dr. Trinh has traveled to underserved areas of South East Asia and South America for dental and surgical missions. He also participates in the Mission of Mercy Projects in both Maryland and Virginia. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American Dental Association and Northern Virginia Dental Society. He has hospital privileges at The Washington Hospital Center and INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital.
In his leisure time, he enjoys staying physically active and playing competitive softball. Dr. Trinh and his wife have a daughter and son who are quite active. They also have two loving dogs, a Boxer and a Yorkshire terrier, who they refer to as Pinky and the Brain.
Dr. Oswald was born in Vietnam and migrated with her family to London, England at the age of 8. She spent most of her childhood in central London and moved to the U.S when she was 16. She attended Falls Church High School in Northern Virginia, and obtained a Bachelors degree from George Mason University where she majored in Biology and a minored in Psychology. Subsequently, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (Richmond, Virginia) with the highest honor, Summa Cum Laude, and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Dr. Oswald returned to the D.C metropolitan area when she was accepted into the Washington Hospital Center for her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. Her training included rotations at Childrens National Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Veterans Affairs hospital. At these institutions, she gained a wide spectrum of training and is proficient in diagnosis and treatment of dental implant surgery, oral and facial trauma, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, reconstructive surgery for pathologies of the jaw, TMD and facial pain disorders as well as dentoalveolar procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions. She also has had extensive training and is highly experienced with in-office sedations. Dr. Oswald believes that every blessing in life must be shared, therefore, some of the most rewarding moments of her career have been in many Mission of Mercy trips including multiple locations all over Virginia annually and at the free clinic where she also volunteers on a monthly basis. She received the Northern Virginia Dental Clinics Volunteer Service Award for 2018. The most memorable service trip includes the visit to the Philippines where she performed dental extractions on adults as well as repair of cleft lip and palate surgery for the local children in need.
She is currently re-focusing her practice on combining the Western (medicine/surgically based) and Eastern (holistic-based) practices to better serve and treat her beloved patients. Although she is well trained in all the above-mentioned surgical procedures, she is a huge advocate of therapeutic treatments that essentially eliminate pain and restore function with as little surgical involvement and comorbidities as possible.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her loving husband-Mike, darling children-Katherine, Jacob, Annabelle and their doggie, Dylan. She looks forward to meeting new patients and providing quality care to the community as this is her passion.

I had to have a front tooth (#10) removed do to an infection. My dentist referred me to NVOSC Warrenton. They performed the extraction and a bone graft. After a lengthy healing process they installed a implanted post to accomodate a permanent tooth. Then another healing period transpired. The problem is it was then discovered that the surgeon missed the jawbone and installed the post into the flesh in front of the bone. This will not support a functional new tooth. See the picture. They did offer to redo everything at no coast or refund the coast of the implant. I chose the refund and went elsewhere.

All the staff I encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Trihn took the time to explain and make me feel comfortable. He even called me that night to ask how I was recovering. Would highly recommend this facility.

I want to give this very Professional Friendly and Caring Oral Surgery Centers practice a raving review! I have visited 3 of their locations so far and they All our very professional, friendly, clean and super caring from every staff members to Dr. Trinh . Dr. Trinh is absolutely amazing very positive with an upbeat attitude each time I have met with him. I live several hours away so when I have come with an emergency to see my general dentist Dr. Paul Lee, he has called to see if they would be able to fit me in, they have been super accommodating! Thank you so much I must say I previously worked in the dental field for 25 years and my Oral Surgeon retired. I was skeptical that I would find anyone I would trust like I did Dr. Argintar, to my surprise I did in fact find my forever home in this oral surgery centers practice. Bravo Excellent Care!

What a wonderfully peaceful experience. Every member of the staff team worked in concert and in a seamless fashion that left me amazed and thinking what a great day on the beach. Having the option of gas was a great decision that made minutes seem like seconds. From phone call to reception to assistants to doctor, Northern Virginia Oral Surgery Center is top-notch and all about the patient. We, personally, LOVE Dr. Oswald and recommend her to everyone! She has cared for both of my teenage daughters in the Warrenton office for three different surgeries and they request her only. She is very knowledgeable and kind, instilling complete confidence and trust in her abilities as she explains conditions and recommended treatment. Afterwards, you leave with thorough information and all your post-operative needs taken care of - as it should be. Excellent patient care and full service that I feel great about referring to friends and family. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr Trinh is the best! I have seen him multiple times, my husband, and my Aunt. So when my daughter needed all 4 wisdom teeth removed and her dentist started to recommend whoever they partner with in our area, I knew I wanted to see Dr Trinh. Even though it's a 40 drive from our house.I will always go to him and recommend him. He is so nice and really knows and is amazing at what he does. Both offices I have been to have amazing staff as well. They really go the extra mile here. Kaleb was so sweet and thorough in explaining aftercare to me and helping my daughter to the car. They sent us away w a nice aftercare pack, very through written instructions and a pint of Haagen-Dazs- Dr Trinh always personally calls to check in later the same evening. Also you are given his personal cell in case you have any questions or issues. All these things are just some of what makes them the best! My husband had a tooth extraction at a dentist several months ago and I will say the experience didn't compare whatsoever. No after care instructions, no personal phone calls, nothing. I will and my family will forever be a patient here. Thanks so much for such wonderful experiences and taking such great care of my family and myself!!

First let me say how pretty this office is! They have an amazing coffee bar and the bathroom is stocked up on dental items!!! Ok now let's talk about the staff! They were all smiling and friendly definitely made my nerves at ease. The dentist was absolutely amazing. She's so kind and caring but also worked amazingly fast and left me feeling the best I could for an extraction. I would highly recommend this office over and over again!!!

This clinic is very professional and clean, staff was super friendly. I had a tooth extracted, it was quick and painless. I would recommend, but my only complaint was I was charged a consultation fee. I needed to know more about my wisdom teeth, and I didn't get a consultation about them.

Went here for my girlfriend May to get all of her teeth removed. The staff were helpful and very nice and polite about everything and gave us options to choose from. They also accept CareCredit which is another reason why I enjoy them. Thank you for helping her out and I definitely recommend for anyone who need to see an oral surgeon.

Y'all, I am terrified of anything related to the dentist, and I was less than excited about having 2 of my wisdom teeth removed..... but let me tell y'all, Dr. Oswald and Rachel are the ABSOLUTE BEST! This practice is staffed by some of the most compassionate people on the planet, and they really take the time to talk to you, help you through the nerves, and they take excellent care of you during the entire procedure. 5 stars isn't nearly enough to describe the care I received here, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you need a procedure done, they are second to none.
