Dr. Naimi chose oral surgery as his profession because he wanted to have the opportunity to provide life-changing services to those in need. He is well-known in our oral surgery office for having excellent chairside manner and being able to help even the most anxious patients feel at ease during treatment. He cant imagine doing anything else!
Dr. Naimi completed both his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Following dental school, he attended a four-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tufts University in affiliation with the New England Medical Center in Boston. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental fraternity, and regularly pursues continuing education opportunities in full arch rehabilitation, facial rejuvenation, anesthesia, and other specialty topics.
When he isnt busy rebuilding smiles, Dr. Naimi enjoys being with his children, skiing, hiking, and doing various other activities outdoors. Hes also passionate about helping those in need through various community service programs! In the past, hes worked with Mission of Mercy, the Virginia Dental Association Foundation, and Operation Smile. His humanitarian work has taken him all over the world to provide critical care, including places like Jamaica, Honduras, and India
Dr. Pedram Yaghmai is a highly skilled and compassionateoral surgeon at Northern Virginia Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery, which has state-of-the-art clinics in Burke, Reston, and Alexandria, Virginia. In his approach to dental care, Dr. Yaghmai believes in working with the individual needs and preferences of his patients and maintaining effective communication with his colleagues to deliver truly comprehensive treatment plans and effective results.
Dr. Yaghmai always enjoyed working with his hands, and he wanted to find a career that utilized this skill. He chose dentistry over other medical professions because he felt that it is the perfect combination of art and science, plus he gets to build great one-on-one relationships with patients.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Yaghmai stayed in his hometown to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated in 1999. He also attended Virginia Commonwealth University for his Doctor of Dental Surgery, which he completed in 2004. After graduating, Dr. Yaghmai immediately went on to complete a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, during which he earned his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Yaghmai maintains a special interest in TMJ surgery, sleep apnea treatments, bone grafting, and dental implants.
Dr. Yaghmai is passionate about teaching and learning and devotes a significant amount of time to staying up-to-date with current research, trends, and technology. This is why he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Yaghmai is an avid soccer fan. He not only enjoys watching the sport, but often plays in an adult league in the area. He also relaxes by playing piano, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending time with his family (including his white German Shepherd, Ghost).
Dr. Yaghmai feels it is important to give back to the community through volunteer work. He has participated in the MOM (Mission of Mercy) Project and donated his time to the Northern Virginia Free Clinic in addition to other various projects to help those less fortunate.

This place should get 0 star for the billing service. I gave them 3 stars before because they didn't offer me the consultant with the doctor before the wisdom teeth extraction date. And I had to pay $670.40 for my service. I was not happy at that time but I couldn't cancel my appointment before I would need to pay for the cancellation fee and I was already in the room with the doctor and the front desk girl came to me and gave me the paper to sign. She told me my insurance reached the limit and insurance only covered this much and I had to pay almost $700. I paid off everything and now I just got a bill from them with a due amount of $430. It's ridiculous. I called them to ask and they said everything they said just an estimate and now I have to pay $430 more. Who has insurance and have to pay for the service more than $1000? It was their fault at the beginning and they didn't even say sorry or at least have the responsibility on it. I'm 100% sure that the doctor doesn't know about that and the patients have to deal with all those thing. I really wanna talk to the doctor so he know how their billing service is and they have to take a partial responsibility for it. I already paid $670.40 and dont wanna pay $340 more for this. If you are not sure how much your insurance covers for your service, dont come here, they give you only the estimate you are willing to pay but after that, you have to pay more and they only say yes, you have to pay. THE WORST SERVICE EVER IN MY LIFE.

Do not use this doctors office! I had a consult last year to have two teeth pulled under anesthesia. I lived in the county's shelter program nearby and asked them to let me know MY patient responsibility for the entire procedure after they verified my health insurance. They verified and the doctor AND the office staff said they would not charge me for the consult as I was living in a shelter. The shelter attempted to secure a ride to and from the office for the procedure but the cab/user drivers never showed up. My patient pay was $80 and that was ALL I was being given charged. Recently I have been receiving a $5 bill from them and was puzzled because they had $80 that I paid to them in advance of the procedure which I have NOT had done yet. They REFUSE to return the $80 that was MY copay with my insurance company that I paid in advance saying you NEVER came back so we are keeping it as your consult fee that we weren't charging you for last year but will now because you never came back for the procedure. What a SCAM their office is! I would highly recommend you NEVER go there for services as they WILL mess up your billing especially if you have limited money to spend!

I just wanna review again my experience here. I give 3 stars because the one who helped me schedule my appointment didn't ask me if I wanted to do the consultation with the Dr. before the surgery. The Dr. and everything else were very good except one thing I mentioned above. If I had a consultation with the Dr. first, I wouldn't need to pay out of pocket too much, almost $700 for me.

My biggest fear and hatred for mouth pain is real. I can't stand and I'm like hulk-angry with mouth pain. Due to HIPPA laws I can't disclose myinpatient procedure. Lol Just kidding. I needed something removed from mouth. Well I was I was recommended by a family member to check out Dr. Aslam at NOVA OMS. Receptionist was helpful and informative. The one negative thing about this place is the amount of paper work but they need to know me so not worth a dinging of a star. The staff is 10/10 rating. The assistant ,her name tag said Jennyfer, was comforting and helpful. I was able to remember her name specifically because I didn't think someone would spell their name like that, but it's 2022 and here we are. Doctor came in to the room, small chat, got to know each other and than proceeded to perform surgery. Meanwhile was patient and informative with "Jennyfer". Almost seemed like she was one of her students. It was interesting to listen and learn as well. After a good 10 min he was all done, my Mouth was numb from the good stuff and I was done. Quick and easy procedure. Also my appointment was at 7:30 and I was out by 8:05. 5 out of 5 I would recommended this spot to a friend and family. Outstanding location.

As a patient, no one loves the thought of oral surgery, but the staff and doctors at NoVA OMS make the process smooth, comfortable, and most of all, painless. I've never had a better recovery or surgical experience. Dr. Aslam and his staff are the absolute best!

Dr . Naimi was amazing during my surgery I was so scared at first that I didn't know what to do at all but he made me so comfortable. And his assistants Fabiola and Angie was very sweet and calmed me before my wisdom extraction. The healing part after not that much pain but great recovery!! Better location than the one location I was recommended before. My boyfriend took a video of me how I reacted and I was laughing my self how I acted but This is the spot to be I promise everyone that! Best surgeon in the DMV!!! Thank you Dr.Naimi and team!!!!!!

I had an oral operation with Dr. Naimi. He and the entire staff at Nova OMS were very accommodating and I always felt well taken care of throughout each stage of the process. There were some unexpected hiccups throughout the recovery but Dr. Naimi and staff were able to accommodate my needs. I was nervous to go through the procedure before I began, but once I began I didn't feel intimidated thanks to the professionalism at their office. I am very pleased with the service here and I highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this office (Reston) and Dr. Yaghmai enough. I had a complicated case but he made the long process that much easier with his professionalism and caring nature. He was always more than happy to answer any questions I had and was so knowledgeable that I always felt confident in his answers. The staff was always so warm and kind that it made it that much easier to come in for appointments.

I went to Reston location to have my tooth extracted and I had a great time with all the staff. They took care of me really good. Dr. Aslam did an amazing job. It didn't hurt at all. It is the place that I would go back if I need to have my tooth extracted.

Dr. Yaghmai and his team are incredible! He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth and I could not be happier. He was so kind and caring from my consult to the extraction day. I felt very comfortable and knew I was in good hands. My experience was so much better than I thought it would be. Highly recommend this practice. Amazing work done here. Just got my wisdom teeth removed, procedure was quick and easy. Dr.Yaghmai and assistant Tean were very nice and helpful, going over the procedure before the surgery. Kind to assist me before and after. Definitely would recommend to a friend!!!

I took my 17 year old daughter to NOVA OMS to have her wisdom teeth extracted (per the referral of our family dentist) and we could not have been happier with this office. From Megan at the front desk, who took care of all of our insurance billing and paperwork, to Lauren who assisted with the entire procedure, explained things and made my daughter feel comfortable, to Dr. Shihabi who performed the extraction, who was gentle and caring and completed the entire procedure (4 teeth) in minimal time and with minimal discomfort., the entire staff and facility is absolutely the tops. Thank you again for the superb service we received. We highly recommend NOVA OMS to any patient in need or oral surgery needs.

Our son had a wonderful experience with Dr. Pedram Yaghmai at the practice. Dr. Yaghmai was able to remove all 4 of his wisdom teeth successfully. He had some pain and discomfort the first day, but we followed all of the instructions provided to us and he healed wonderfully. Highly recommend.
