Dr. Naimi chose oral surgery as his profession because he wanted to have the opportunity to provide life-changing services to those in need. He is well-known in our oral surgery office for having excellent chairside manner and being able to help even the most anxious patients feel at ease during treatment. He cant imagine doing anything else!
Dr. Naimi completed both his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Following dental school, he attended a four-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tufts University in affiliation with the New England Medical Center in Boston. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental fraternity, and regularly pursues continuing education opportunities in full arch rehabilitation, facial rejuvenation, anesthesia, and other specialty topics.
When he isnt busy rebuilding smiles, Dr. Naimi enjoys being with his children, skiing, hiking, and doing various other activities outdoors. Hes also passionate about helping those in need through various community service programs! In the past, hes worked with Mission of Mercy, the Virginia Dental Association Foundation, and Operation Smile. His humanitarian work has taken him all over the world to provide critical care, including places like Jamaica, Honduras, and India
Dr. Pedram Yaghmai is a highly skilled and compassionateoral surgeon at Northern Virginia Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery, which has state-of-the-art clinics in Burke, Reston, and Alexandria, Virginia. In his approach to dental care, Dr. Yaghmai believes in working with the individual needs and preferences of his patients and maintaining effective communication with his colleagues to deliver truly comprehensive treatment plans and effective results.
Dr. Yaghmai always enjoyed working with his hands, and he wanted to find a career that utilized this skill. He chose dentistry over other medical professions because he felt that it is the perfect combination of art and science, plus he gets to build great one-on-one relationships with patients.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Yaghmai stayed in his hometown to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated in 1999. He also attended Virginia Commonwealth University for his Doctor of Dental Surgery, which he completed in 2004. After graduating, Dr. Yaghmai immediately went on to complete a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, during which he earned his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Yaghmai maintains a special interest in TMJ surgery, sleep apnea treatments, bone grafting, and dental implants.
Dr. Yaghmai is passionate about teaching and learning and devotes a significant amount of time to staying up-to-date with current research, trends, and technology. This is why he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Yaghmai is an avid soccer fan. He not only enjoys watching the sport, but often plays in an adult league in the area. He also relaxes by playing piano, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending time with his family (including his white German Shepherd, Ghost).
Dr. Yaghmai feels it is important to give back to the community through volunteer work. He has participated in the MOM (Mission of Mercy) Project and donated his time to the Northern Virginia Free Clinic in addition to other various projects to help those less fortunate.

For a 76 year old female terrified of dentists and the pain I 'knew' was associated with having all my teeth extracted this was an amazing experience. During the consultation Dr Shihabi explained the procedure and answered all my questions. When surgery was scheduled I was still extremely nervous, my pulse rate was too high because I failed to take my medications, and the procedure had to be canceled. Dr Shihabi again calmed my nerves, counseled me on taking the medications and after demonstrating a sustained lower pulse rate, rescheduled the procedure. I arrived at the office, still contemplating canceling the procedure, Dr Shihabi and his staff calmed my nerves and he performed the surgery. As I write this it has been 10 days since the surgery, and I have NOT experienced any pain whatsoever. I realize now that this is the best decision I could have ever made and wish to sincerely thank Dr Shihabi and his team of Lauren, Trey, Tavon and Zeid for their dedication, compassion and patience in my care. I give them my highest recommendations.

The very best oral surgeon practice I have ever been to! They are kind, know exactly what they are doing, and make you feel like you are in great hands! I'm elderly so I was scared, but on surgery day they calmed me right down, not with meds, but with their kind and tender care. I would go to no one else from now on! I went here after my boyfriend referred me to them and I'm so happy I did! He had nothing but great things to say which was enough to convince me. After my tooth chipped and my dentist told me my wisdom teeth were the issue, I quickly searched for a surgeon in my area who could help me take care of the issue as soon as possible. I was actually referred to go to a different surgeon but they could only see me a week later. On the same day I saw my dentist, I had my consultation here with Dr. Ansari; everyone was super friendly and welcoming and most importantly helpful. After informing the receptionist that I was paying out of pocket, they were kind enough to work with me. I recovered very well in two weeks, however, I never did receive a check up call from them asking how I was doing. Either way, I recommend coming here for their level of professionalism.

Office should reach out prior to procedure about financial obligations, copay, etc. I felt very on-the-spot when asked to provide an extremely high payment for procedure. Staff answered my questions but I did feel judged for asking the questions and not just passing over my credit card. That said, the oral surgeon answered all questions and the procedure was quick and relatively painless (thanks to the $$$ for the extra block).

I've been intrigued by this place for several years as I always noticed the font type and bold black color office name on the red brick while pumping gas/servicing car across the street. Who would've thought that years later, this same office would do my oral surgery. From the onset of making an appointment, I was treated like family. Last week, Dr. Shihabi pulled my 3 wisdom teeth. His team was so friendly and kind. They even cared enough to not mess up my beautiful nails concerning getting my vitals. They gave me a blanket because I was cold and let me keep it. I even played a slight joke with them after my surgery... that's how cool the team was. The day of my surgery, it was a breeze ... albeit more painful when the meds wore off days later but not so much that I needed the prescribed oxycodone. I had my follow up today and it went well. Lauren even gave me a t-shirt because I recommended that my friend who picked me up the day of surgery make an appointment for her daughter, which she did while checking me out. Awesome office with equally awesome staff!

I cannot express enough satisfaction and glowing "feel goods" about Dr. Aslam and the entire staff. I had (seriously) an under 5 minute tooth extraction with zero pain and it has healed nicely, too. I also met Kelly and Susan who helped me with the initial prep work and were knowledgeable and professional as well as kind-hearted and friendly. Even the people at the desk are exceptional Thank you Valentyna and Diana!!!! Billing was handled without a hitch and check-ins are a breeze! I recommend a bazillion times that you use this place and meet these people.

I am giving this rated 5 stars because they are very friendly with deaf customer since I am deaf patient. They were glad to communicate with me through written and phone device with me to make sure everything is correctly and accurate. I will recommend for everyone to go here. Got free T-shirt from them!

The staff here is absolutely amazing. They are always prepared when I arrive. The staff is very professional and always greet you with a smile. Dr. Aslam is great too (lol). Dr. Aslam and staff walk you through every step and made me feel relaxed. I love this place

I'm not going to lie I was lil nervous about getting my wisdom teeth pulled but they had an amazing staff that kept me at ease the whole way. They gave me all the information needed to make sure the procedure and healing process would go smooth for me so I wouldn't have any problems in the long run. If you're ever looking to get any oral services done please make sure to contact NOVA OMS in Alexandria 5/5!! Lastly a big S/O to Dr. Aslam, Susan and Kelly for all your help I really appreciate it!!

The only reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because 10 isn't an option. I had an amazing dental experience with Dr. Shahidi and his team. I normally don't give reviews; however dental procedures give everyone anxiety and I felt the need to write this note for those that are on the fence. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! The process was painless for 3 wisdom teeth and 2 molars. The only reason I took the days off were because of the doctor orders, but I was fine that same day. I hope I never need another procedure done, but I if I do, I know this is my place.

I needed a dental implant done for one of my molar teeth, and Dr. Amro Shihabi came highly recommended to me. He performed my oral surgery, which went extremely well, and I'm thrilled with the results! By the way, the entire staff has been superb and they made me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped into their office. I would like to give special recognition to Dr. Shihabi and his assistant, Tray, for their everything they did. I wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone who needs dental implant work done!.

I had a very comfortable experience with getting all 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once. The staff was very organized and friendly getting me setup up for the procedure. Dr. Aslam, Kelly, Susan, Diana, and Valentyna were also helpful in assisting me for my recovery afterwards. Would definitely recommend this place.

This place has amazing service and environment. I went here for a wisdom teeth extraction consult and proceeded to have them removed, and Dr. Naimi was wonderful. He was very thorough and communicative, even going as far as personally calling us to discuss some options. That is something I've never seen before.

Staff was professional and courteous. The implant procedure was conducted efficiently and I did not experience unexpected discomfort following my visit. All materials for the next phase of my implant were provided to me to allow for the dental work to begin immediately. I'm pleased with my service.

I had been needing to get my wisdom teeth out for the past 3years, I had been beyond scared to do it. I found Dr.Yaghmai through google, saw the great reviews & decided it was time to get them out due to the pain. Setting up an appointment was extremely easy. Once I arrived they made sure I felt comfortable, as it was my first time going under anesthesia. The ladies explained everything that was going on. Doctor exceeded my expectations. I was in & out in less than 2 hours& all 3 teeth out. My recovery was AMAZING & the office provided everything I'd need. No pain at all, back to work the next day. I am soooo happy I found you guys!! My experience was above & beyond what I had expected. Thank you!!
