Our Licensed Dental Assistants are certified bythe Minnesota State Board of Dentistry. After working with our team for six months, they begin certification in the AAOMS Dental Assistant Anesthesia National Certification program. All clinicalstaff arecertified inCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Thier goal is to provide you with safe, companionatecare.
Shania is a 2020 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie. She joined Northern Star OMS in the fall of 2020 as an intern and was hired full-time after completing her internship. In Shanias spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and trying new foods.
Sierra is a 2019 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie. She joined Northern Star OMS in the summer of 2019 as an intern and was hired on full-time after completing her internship. In Sierras spare time she enjoys being outdoors, playing video games with friends, and spending time with her husband and two cats.

I'd rather get hit by a slapshot than go to the dentist, much less an oral surgeon; but I had little choice. That being said, I'm so glad I was able to get a quick appointment with Northern Star. The procedure went smoothly. The after care instructions were clear and concise. It's the next day and I'm in little pain with the help of ibuprofen. Dr. Chavez' skill and kindness made everything go more smoothly than I imagined it could. Top notch support staff too.

I have to get a tooth removed and have extreme anxiety about dentist visits, this has caused me to just avoid all dentists. I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Heidi for helping with this. Not only did she squeeze me in asap but she was just so down to earth and soothing like a cool aunt. She explained my insurance and other money stuff in a very understanding and non pretentious manner. I feel there are places that will just be "This will be a couple grand, lol peasant how do you not have this pocket change lying about?" But she wasn't like that, she even helped me look at payment plans and stuff so I would NOT have a full blown panic attack. So thank you Heidi and I hope the staff appreciates you because front desk sets the whole tone for a practice! The assistant (I don't remember her name, sorry!) was also extremely empathetic and grounded. We had some good small talk before the Dr came in and it helped sooth my nerves even more. Dr Chavez and the assistant were also kind enough to show pictures and explain everything thoroughly so I could make an informed decision. I hope I don't have to return after my current tooth problem is fixed but if I do I feel confident that I will be in good hands.

Misleading information on the payment. Called ahead to find out the cost of the oral exam. Provided all insurance info prior visit. I was told my visit would be free of charge, now have a bill to pay.

Care is Good implant was done in acceptable form. I did the payment in full and they processed my insurance. They did take more than 4 weeks to send the check back after they have cashed it. Did not return my calls for several days.

Based on the reviews and my dentist's recommendation, I went ahead and got all of my molars removed at this place. The staff is good, and the procedure went well. Follow up appointments were easily managed too. On the second follow up they found a bone fragment that had caused an infection. Not sure where it came from, but it would have been great if it was found in the first go.

Went in for a wisdom teeth extraction consultation on Wednesday and they had em out on Friday. 10/10 would recommend great experience very nice people great facilities too.

Had just moved to a new location when I had my procedure. Equipment was subpar and the BP machine was not working as they gave me sedation. Had very painful "possible dry sockets" but was encouraged to just keep trying to manage the pain when clearly what I had available wasn't working. To top it all off my insurance was billed incorrectly (they put their wrong address) so I got to sit in traffic to go and fix it. I was referred by Fiant Dental and I have no idea why, I would avoid, there has to be somewhere better than this...
