Northern Smiles Family Dental is a family owned and family centered dental practice. Dr. Brandon Nielson loves providing dental care from the youngest child in the family all the way to the oldest in the family. For him, being able to live in such an amazing community but also provide amazing dental service to his patients has been one of his dreams. With advances in technology, Dr. Nielson is able to provide you with state of the art treatment such as same day CEREC crowns along with the invisible braces such as INVISALIGN. The team at Northern Smiles Family Dental looks forward to meeting you and providing you with exceptional customer service.
Dr. Nielson was born in Mesa, Arizona and raised in the Town of Gilbert. From a young age, he knew that being a Dentist was the profession that he wanted to pursue. After marrying his wife Michelle, they packed up everything and moved to Kentucky where he continued his education by attending the University of Louisville. It is there that he obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Biology and also his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He and his wife Michelle have three children. Rylee and Ashlynn are their two older daughters followed by their younger brother Easton. Dr. Nielson loves spending time with his family, wakeboarding, snowboarding, road/mountain biking and his new hobby of Obstacle Course Racing such as the Spartan Race and Tough Mudder.
Nicole was born in Loveland Colorado and raised in Tucson Arizona. After graduating high school she moved back to Colorado for a short time. Soon after, she found herself in Texas where she attended San Antonio School of Medical and Dental Assisting. She graduated in 2004 and has been working in the dental field ever since. After moving back to Colorado, she attended classes to abide by Colorado standards. Nicole has two daughters, Kaleya (14 yrs. old) and Zariah (11 yrs. old) and married to her husband Dylan. In her free time she enjoy puzzles, dancing and hanging out with friends and family.
Ashlee was born and raised in the small town of St. Francis, Kansas. During high school she was a dental assistant for a local dentist before attending Dental Hygiene school at Colby Community College. Ashlee and her husband moved their family to Windsor in 2012. She has two children, Kaylee and Braxton that both keep her busy with activities. Ashlee enjoys the beautiful Colorado weather, Bronco football and KU Jayhawk basketball!
Lexi grew up in Chadron, NE before attending the University of Nebraska where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduating she and her husband packed up and moved for a new adventurous life in Colorado. They now have a two year old daughter named Nova. She loves spending her free time golfing, doing anything outdoors and attending as many Bronco and Avalanche games as she can!
Family husband Mike Solis, works for Phils Pro Auto in Greeley and we have a 27 year old son, Michael Garza and 24 year old daughter, Jordan Garza. We as a family have 5 fur babies, Sophie, Monster, Wiggles, Taz and Louie. I like to spend my free time with my family and doing community work. I am currently serving my second elected term on the Greeley/Evans school board. I also serve as a board member on the Success Foundation for District six and I have been a CASA (court appointed special advocate) for 6 years. I have been in dentistry for 29 years and enjoy working with patients. I started working for Dr. Nielson on January 31, 2018 and have loved getting to know the rest of the team and patients. I have been impressed with the skills of both assistants, Kaitlyn and Nicole and the hygienists, Ashlee and Alexa. The team has been so helpful and supportive to me as a new member. Its a great office to work in and its an honor to work for a dentist that cares so much about patients. We have a wonderful team and I look forward to getting to know more patients and their families.
I was born and raised in the Steamboat Springs area and moved to Greeley after graduating high school. I met my now husband Kiko shortly after moving here and got married in September of 2017. We have one son Louie, two dogs Leia and Lyra, and two cats Mittens and Thumbelina (she has an extra thumb), so its a pretty full house. In my spare time I like spending time with friends and family and having friends/family game nights. I also enjoy traveling and love going back home to Steamboat for a nice weekend getaway. I became a dental assistant in 2016 and started working at Northern Smiles Family Dental in January 2017. I have enjoyed working here and getting to know all of the patients and their families.

I had a dental emergency and was in a ton of pain on a Saturday. Dr. Neilson met me at his office right away to get my tooth extracted. I didn't feel like an inconvenience whatsoever and he was very personable. I would highly recommend Dr. Neilson!

Incredible experience today; Had crown work done to repair cracked front tooth. Excellent job and significant work performed By Dr Nielson who is an outstanding dentist with high tech, up to date equipment, and a super facility and staff.

Unbelievable staff! Not only do they have the best customer service, but you feel so comfortable like being with friends and family! I am so blessed to have found them through a referral from my daughter in law. Dr. Brandon is adorable and funny!! Comfort level in this office is over the top!!!! Thanks for all you do and are!!

I visited Northern Smiles Family Dental after having an accident in the Rocky Mountains, in which I fell and knocked out pieces of both my front teeth. Since we were going to be on a road trip for the next couple of weeks, we didn't know where to go. I was extremely upset, and my boyfriend had called 1-800-dentist while we were still in the ER to see how soon I could get it taken care of. We had an appointment set up through the 1-800-dentist number at Northern Smiles Family Dental for two days later (July 5th, as everyone was closed on the 4th). We drove about an hour and a half from Estes Park, only to find out that the office was closed and that 1-800-dentist had made a scheduling error. We called the Emergency number listed for the dentist, and Dr. Nielsen answered but told us that the office was closed for the remainder of the week. Upon hearing our situation and that we had driven an hour and a half to get to him, he told us not to worry and that he would come in since he lived close by. Dr. Nielsen came in with his wife, and they were absolutely wonderful to us. Anybody else in that situation may have been frustrated about coming in on a day off, but they were both incredibly friendly, empathetic, and personable. In my best interest of keeping my costs low out of state and because we still had a couple weeks of traveling to go, he recommended just doing the fillings after looking over my x-rays. Dr. Brandon Nielsen, with the help of his lovely wife Michelle, completed my fillings in about an hour, and they look fabulous! I was so happy to have my teeth back (and my confidence). The first thing that all of my family and friends wanted to see upon my return home was how my teeth looked, and they have all been in disbelief of how "you can't even tell anything happened." I am so grateful to the kindness of Dr. Nielsen and his wife. Not only is Dr. Nielsen very good at what he does, more importantly, he is a good person. I only wish I lived closer so that I could go back! Thanks, Nielsen family!

Dr. Nielson and his staff (particularly Ashley) changed my outlook on going to the dentist. Before my spouse convinced me to see them, I had not been to the dentist for regular visits in over a decade. I had poor experiences with dentists as a child and they have been the group to change my outlook. I now visit every six months and have great experiences with additional work (partial cap and fillings, etc...). They are great communicators and listen to their patients. If you need a dentist this is the place to go.

Dr. Nielson and his staff are wonderful to work with! The office is clean and very welcoming. The hygienist, Alexa, was gentle, knowledgeable, and funny. I also had to come back for a few fillings. The assistant was very caring and made sure I understood the procedure before we started. Dr. Nielson did a great job and I stayed comfortable the while procedure. I would highly suggest this dental practice to anyone looking for an efficient and professional dental provider!

Two hours of dental work is never going to be the best way to spend time but it was the most comfortable, painless visit I have ever had. From injection onward, I didn't feel a thing, very little sensitivity afterwards. I very much appreciated the follow up call to make sure everything was okay and the 30% reduction in the bill because I don't choose to waste my money on dental insurance which usually costs more than the average treatment cost over five years. All in all the best experience I've ever had at a dentist.
