A native of Sparks, Nevada, Dr. VanHorn graduated from Reed High School, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with distinction, and pursued a Masters degree in Biochemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno. He attended and graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2006. He then returned to the community he calls home to provide remarkable dental care for Northern Nevada residents and their families.
His strong passion for dentistry is driven by a love of helping educate patients to fulfill each patients individual needs and expectations. Dr. VanHorn thrives on the rapid environment of the practice and being an integral part of patient improvements, while consistently taking time with them to make sure their needs are properly met.
I love to help patients make healthy decisions for themselves, and pride myself on patients leaving the office fully informed so there are no surprises when final treatments are embarked upon. Taking care of their dental health reverberates through their entire body and helps them live a healthy and happy life.

Born and raised in Northern Nevada, Dr. Vaughn graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree.A fellow graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1989, going on to earn multiple Dental Honor Society Awards.
When outside of the office, he loves spending time with his wife Andrea and their five children. An avid outdoorsman, he looks forward to passing along that enthusiasm to his grandchildren, and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and golf in his free time.
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Mannikko proudly served in the United States Navy and attended the University Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and the University of Nevada Reno (UNR), studying biology. Over Dr. Mannikkos career, he has placed a high emphasis on continued education, receiving several fellowship awards that have broadened and deepened his skills to help provide the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Mannikko enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and four daughters.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Dental School, Dr. Vial returned to Sparks, where she was born and raised, to provide top-tier dental care for the community she loves. She joined Northern Nevada Family Dentistry because of the exceptional service and patient experience they provide, spending time to cater to each patients individual needs and ensure they feel well taken care of. Her specialties include prosthodontics, aesthetic dentistry and general restorative dentistry. Helping my patients smile confidently, chew well, have a healthy mouth and eliminate any self-esteem issues they may have is what I love about dentistry. During time not spent with patients, she explores the outdoors hiking and skiing with her husband and son, along with their two dogs.

For the most part the staff is very professional and willing to help, but if you have a billing question on something you were caught off guard on there is one staff member that is very rude. Not someone that l like to deal with. They cut you off in a heart beat.
