I don't understand the bad reviews here at all. I have been to many many dentists. I had to have the bottom of a broken tooth pulled yesterday and Dr. Y did a great job and managed to pull it out in one piece. Never any pain whatsoever, detailed instructions for after. No pain after either. Will go back again if I ever need another tooth pulled. My regular dentist recommended this place and they were spot on.

Office staff is great and Drs. are both wonderful. Thank you so much for your help today.

I needed to have a tooth extracted and was very nervous about it. Dr. Yadgood not only dismissed my anxiety completely and told me to "toughen up" but he also treated me like a child. I am 27 years old and he asked me if my allergy to a medication was an "actual allergy or did it just make my tummy hurt". He was very condescending and did not make me feel comfortable at all. I would not recommend this place.

The Dr was experienced, detailed and staff was exceptional. I got a second opinion and came back twice. They are solid.

DO NOT GO HERE. They do not prescribe proper post-surgery meds. I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out and I was in agony for weeks because I got 4 dry sockets right after surgery. The day of surgery they only prescribed strong Tylenol and Advil and told me to rotate between the two every couple hours. I was like ok this shouldn't be that bad. Once the medication they used to knock me out during surgery wore off (which btw they said was conscious sedation but I was completely unconscious-- liars!), THIS DID NOTHING FOR THE PAIN!!! I was screaming from the pain walking around the house. I should have told mom (who drove me) to take me straight back to their office to get a real pain prescription because the horrible extents of pain I was experiencing was far from normal. But because the office played it down and called me a "drama queen" and DENIED MY PAIN, I just had to accept that it was "normal post-wisdom teeth removal" to FEEL LIKE THERE WAS A DRILL IN MY JAW AND BLOOD RUSHING DOWN THE INSIDE OF MY SKULL for 6-7 days. All I could think about was the pain I felt in my face and mouth. I got 2-3 hours of sleep each night for the following week. I'm a reasonable person and have a high pain tolerance, so the fact that I was in agony and couldn't focus on anything but the pain says everything. I wish I could have compensation for their improper post-surgery care or SOMETHING to justify the scarring they did to me. Nothing was worth forcing me to be in pain that bad. It's been 6 months since the surgery and I still cringe at the pain. I am beyond unsatisfied with this office. If I had known that they didn't prescribe proper post-surgery medications, I definitely would not have gone here for oral surgery. I highly regret going here. Save yourself months of pain and time and DO NOT GO HERE. EDIT: it's been 1.5 years and I think I have mild PTSD from this. It still bothers me. I still think about it a few times a week at least. I went to a wisdom tooth appointment with a friend and couldn't handle being in their office and had to go wait in the car crying. Northern Essex Oral Surgeon was a scarring experience. I wish I had gone back to their office as soon as I got home, but my mom wo5uldnt let me drive myself though I was beyond wide awake from the pain I was literally screaming from. I should've just told her no, and gone back to the office so they could see for themselves. I went to my dentist a few months after the surgery and she said she was really sorry for them treating me that way and she said she definitely would have prescribed me real pain killers if I came to their office. Wish I had known! The doctor did not warn me of dry sockets or anything! I had to keep Googling until I could diagnose myself with dry sockets (which the surgeon NEVER mentioned as a potential side effect.)

When my wife is in pain and needs 9 teeth pulled out, they denied her because she has mass health even after being told this place takes Mass Health and is afraid now that she is going to die cuz the pain is that severe. She is crying and keeps getting turned away. Not cool

Both of my children have been under the care of the surgeon's here at NEOS. The office staff as well as the surgeons are so kind and caring. Most recently I have taken my sister here twice for extractions and they were awesome!! I even received text messages checking up on her after both procedures. Thank you Northern Essex Oral Surgery!!

Exceptional staff and a great overall experience. I had four wisdom teeth removed with sedation and my experience was very smooth. I first came in for a consultation visit and met with the doctor. I was very nervous but he explained everything very well, which made me feel more comfortable. Day of the surgery, the assistants were amazing and helped ease my nerves. Procedure felt like two seconds and it was done. No pain at all! Recovery was also pretty easy. Doctor told me I would be sore and swollen for a few days but I had nothing. Barely took any pain medication. This is the BEST place to have oral surgery!

Was extremely nerves today about getting a tooth pulled for the first time. The staff made me feel so great about the whole experience. Very gentle and understanding about the anxiety I was having. In all super pleased with this place.

My friend just went for a second opinion to this place and the Dr. Acted like he was lying about what all these other Dr.'s had told him what was wrong. Told him he not to believe what the other'shad told him. He needs a professional person for what kind of work that needs to be done. It's a very delicate procedure and this Dr. Acted like it's not as big a deal as it really is! Not happy with this second opinion at all!

Office staff will make or break an office. We never got to meet Dr. J. I thought we had an appointment with him, but it was with Dr. Y. We left before meeting him as well with the office staff so incompetent I did not want my 6 year old in their hands. The person scheduling our appointment did not listen and did not have the accurate information about my daughter's condition, nor did she feel it necessary to tell me she was scheduling me with someone other than who I was specifically requesting. Even when I confirmed it was with Dr. J she mislead me to believing it was. It was not. He was not even working that day.

I was absolutely amazed by experience here!!! My teeth were in really bad shape, infected and rotting and needed to be pulled, my wisdom teeth and my regular ones, so I was a nervous wreck with a low pain tolerance and I went in and out really quick and felt very little pain and was comfortable the whole time! The doctor and the Asst were kind and used everything they could to make sure I felt no pain and there crazy fast!!! FIVE teeth in like 25 mins!! Awesome place :)
