I would refer friends and family here. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed about a month ago and although it was a tough procedure they did such a great job. Staff made scheduling easy and they asked questions that helped me have everything ready for my appointment. Dr.Matthews and his team did a great job and I knew what to expect before and after. The inflammation and pain that happen after removal lasted about two weeks for me and thanks to their encouragement to call with any aftercare concerns, I did well. In summary, I felt in good, caring hands and welcomed by everyone there before, during, and after the procedure.

I just had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed today by Doctor Matthews and he and the nurses were hands down the best. I have severe anxiety and planned on being put under but when I had a full blow panic attack and couldn't stop shaking doctor Matthews and the nurses helped me calm down and decide staying awake was the best option for me. I have never felt safer or more heard by a medical professional before. Doctor Matthews is new to this building but I must say he is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I didn't catch the nurses names but they two were extremely comforting and patient. I would highly recommend. To top it all of Doctor Matthews called me personally hours after my surgery to check in on me.

Avoid this group at all cost! The first time I went to the scranton location. They called twice to verify the appointment. I asked if they were any co-pay and they said no, they told me I need ID and a driver. I called to re-verify the night before if I need money for they co-pay they said no. On the day of the Appointment they told me I had a co-pay and they could not do the surgery with out the money. Second time I went to the carbondale Location, no problem. Now the Third time I attempted to get an appointment, I made it two weeks before and on the day of the appointment they had no record of my appointment or the call to schedule it. I will never go here and would never tell anyone to go here.

I'm the type of person that is terrified with needles and going to the dentist. Dr burns went above and beyond to keep me calm,comfortable and completely painless. Highly recommended and his staff was amazing. Thank you again Dr burns!!!

Takes months to get appt, and receptionist is rude. Find a better office.

The women at the front desk are extremely unhelpful and quite rude. I called for more information before I came in for a consultation so I would know if it was covered by my insurance and because it's so hard to get wisdom teeth removal I wanted to know ahead of time in case I had to cancel and schedule with someone else. When I initially made the appointment and then when I called with my dental information to see if it would be covered they were no help whatsoever both times and just nasty. I cancelled and will not support their business in the future, just calling was a terrible experience so I can't even imagine what it would be like to have my surgery done there.

I needed several implants and I was referred to doctor Burns by my dentist. I liked his personality from the first day I met him in January, 2020. Dr. Burns is professional and friendly; the young ladies that escorted me back to the treatment room are also pleasant and fun to talk to. However, the women at the front desk are extremely rude and woefully ignorant. Since the work I'm having done requires several appointments to complete, I cringe when I'm called by the wrong name; the fact that I had to sign for a copy of my complete "HIPPA-Protected" medical records 3 times (January, April and June) only to receive partial copies in September; the fact that they KNOW my insurance doesn't cover dental implants (a very painful procedure) they keep turning my prescription for pain relievers to my insurance, who promptly cut my supply of pain medication to 8 pills (I should have received 16)! I'm soon facing kidney surgery... God help me if I'm cut off completely for the year thanks to their stupidity! Btw, the woman at the front desk even had the nerve to suggest I take Ibuphrophen (Motrin), even though it's ALL OVER MY CHART that I'm HIGHLY ALLERGIC! I was given an appointment in early January to finish up the work on my upper teeth. I had no reminder call, so I telephoned Burns' office the day before. "We don't have you on our schedule" was what I was told! Well, I was rescheduled to today, 11 February, 2021. Dr. Burns would be wise to review the conduct and incompetence of his front desk staff. There are many intelligent, competent and diplomatic people seeking employment. It would serve him well to replace his current staff. VERY BAD FOR BUSINESS!

I went in because I was in a rollover motor vehicle accident and fractured my jaw. I'm kind of disoriented and also facing emotional trauma from the incident. Dr. Burns, the nurses, assistants, and clerical individuals were all so kind, helpful and welcoming. They made me feel respected and cared for!

I went to Dr. Kotchick to have my wisdom teeth extracted with a referral from my dentist. The staff, nurses, and Dr. Kotchick were amazing and so SO kind. They knew how nervous I was and made sure to make me feel comfortable and heard. Dr. Kotchick did an amazing job even with having a crown on a tooth right in front of where I was getting one of the impacted teeth extracted. I came out of the surgery with no issues and am recovering well. I can't express again how kind everyone was. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Well apparently I can't reply to a reply, so I'll put this edit up here instead: the piece of paper isn't specific AT ALL and you didn't tell my escort ANYTHING beyond that paper. It has nothing to do with what I did or did not remember. If I could rate Kotchick at a 0 instead of a 1 I would. Do NOT see this particular surgeon if you have any severe anxiety issues. The rest of the office staff was great, but in the middle of me having a massive panic attack isn't the time to say things like "I've been doing this 20 years, I will not be disrespected" while purposely taking a step back to look down at me. I was having a PANIC ATTACK due to severe PHOBIA, not being DISRESPECTFUL. This was in addition to him telling me all about how the "8 year old this morning" did just fine. Highly highly highly do not recommend if you have mental health issues at all. Also, good luck getting anyone on the phone. They don't answer probably 75% of the time, and when they do, it's a toss up as to whether or not they're going to be rude. One woman yesterday literally hung up on my husband. They also sent me out after my extraction with barely any instructions at all, and I've had to google what I can eat, how long pain should last, etc, questions that they should've addressed but didn't. I also ended up with 3 large cuts/marks on the outside of my face that they didn't address at all, and from what I gather aren't normal. I'm on day 4 of using A&D and the marks are still not completely gone. I have no idea how they got there and they didn't volunteer that information.

Worst place ever. Dr was super aggresive. Stay awake I promise you'll never go to him ever again. Knocked my cap off while extracting the tooth next to it. my dentist was in shock bc he cant even get caps off without grinding them off. Plus lady's in the office are rude af on the phone and dont give af about you in the office. They're more worried about their me time. My husband and I have the same ins had the same procedure done and somehow he has a bill.

I know Dr. Burns himself is amazing from the past surgeries I have had with him 20 years ago. However I was recommended there for an emergency extraction due to a jaw infection. The lady who called me (I wish I had her name) told me she cannot schedule an appointment if I didn't have my MetLife policy number. I was working and I didn't have it on hand. She told me I would have to pay on spot out of pocket to schedule. I ask because it was A dental emergency if she could schedule and I will call first thing tomorrow with the information and she plane said no. She was so rude and completely lacked empathy. I mean I work for a living I pay my benefits every month to have service. And with my healthcare experience I know if they have the MetLife portal all they had to do was looking up at Social Security number. But she was rude and she hung up on me. It's not the doctors that I'm disappointed with it's the person who schedules. She should not be in customer service if she does not know how to apply empathy or even pretend to have it.
