Our dental assistants aretrained and certified by the Maine Board of Dental Examiners. They will be with you during treatment procedures to help Dr. Reidy administer the best care possible. They are a wonderful resource for answering many of your specific treatment questions.
Our entire staff takes continuing education courses yearly to stay current on the most recent changes in periodontal treatment advancements and procedures. Our office has a strong commitment to providing state of the art care to all of our patients. We are all currently certified in CPR and have a heart safe facility.
Laura Reidy, D.M.D. has been in practice since 1987. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College. She graduated with her Dental Degree and subsequently a Certificate for Graduate Training in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Reidy specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases as well as, implant dentistry. During the past few years, she has focused on the implementation of the newest techniques involving periodontal regeneration techniques and dental implants.
Dr. Reidys professional affiliations include membership in the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, International Association for Dental Research, Maine Society of Periodontology, and the Penobscot Valley Dental Society. She is also very active in the local community, she donates dental services and volunteers with United Cerebral Palsy of Maine.

Most importantly, top rate staff, professional and efficient. It would seem also that there is a good, upbeat and friendly atmosphere. That says a lot. The unpleasantries of treatment are offset by these factors. Great people.

Dr. Reidy is knowledgable, skilled at her job and is very empathetic. Her staff is friendly and efficient. I needed a complicated procedure requiring 2 dentists to align thier schedules. Her office took care of everything from start to finish. I may have been able get it done quicker had I gone to someplace bigger but I had decided after my first appointment that I wanted Dr. Reidy to perform it because I trusted her judgement.

The waiting room was warm and friendly. I did not have to wait long for Hope to come for me. She was friendly and talkative. She answered questions I asked and she put me very much at ease. I did have to wait a bit in the office; however, when Dr Reidy came she apologized for being late. I told her it was fine. I truly meant that! As soon as Dr Reidy started her examination, she was very concerned about the lichen planus in my mouth! I have lived with that off and on for approximately 35 years! She was gracious and very knowledgeable about lichen. She wants to talk with other physicians who are treating me. I truly appreciated that fact. As a teacher of 30+ yrs. I know we don't have all the answers. I'm happy she wants to know all the Information Age can get on me. Thank you all!! Peggy Welch

I travel over 60 miles to this periodontist office because they are the best around. They have updated equipment and talented hygienists. They care about your comfort and they listen if you have questions or concerns. I have had three painful incidents over time of which they were able to help. They figured out my issue, which other offices were not able to do, and they called professionals in the area to help me that very day. I can't say enough about their cheery atmosphere, their friendly staff and their expertise and professionalism. I am a cash payer and their prices are affordable.

I've been a patient at NEP for many years. Dr Reidy is great. Sadie did a great job. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the appointment started a little late.
