We also know how scary it can be to go to the dentist and orthodontist. Many people fear coming in, so we do everything that we can to provide a calm and comfortable environment. Our staff is great at what they do. They are here to discuss any of your concerns and put you at ease.
There is also nothing worse than feeling like you are not able to discuss your teeth with your orthodontist. We dont want you to feel that way, so we are all here to help answer any questions you may have, no matter how silly you think they are. We can assure you that we have heard most of them already!
Dr. Allwood attended Brooklyn College and graduated in 1990 with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. In 1995, she graduated from Howard University with a D.D.S. degree and in 1998 received her Certificate in Orthodontics. During her studies at Howard University, she participated in a general practice residency program at Queens Hospital Center. Dr. Allwood is a member of American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Allwoods hobbies include photography and tennis.

Our entire team is also dedicated to learning everything about orthodontic care. We are proud to offer the latest advances in orthodontics by staying up to date with the field. Our staff is constantly learning new techniques as they come out.

Once they received all their money, they tried to rush my daughter out the door. The way they left my daughters teeth is atrocious and will need to be fixed now by our dentist for another $4000 because the orthodontist could not be bothered. I'm so upset.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This practice is all about money and once they've met their threshold, they could care less about your needs. The doctor is awful & you never actually meet with her. I took my services to Cooney Orthodontics. If I could give you one piece of decent advice, STEER CLEAR OF ALLWOOD.

I have 2 kids that have received braces from Dr. Allwood. Everyone there is wonderful. They take the time to learn each child's name, they treat everyone with respect and kindness, and they teach the children to be independent and responsible for the care of their teeth. They are very patient. They also are very grateful for all their customers and show that appreciation with yearly opportunities to get together and have a great time. I recommend Dr. Allwood whenever I can. Thank you.

Wonderful. Everyone who works there is very friendly and seems to really like working there. I like the extra things they do like have water bottles in the waiting area. Promotes a good community atmosphere with raffles, food drives, etc. I would give 10 stars but that was not an option.

I heard about Dr. Allwood in passing and decided to take the leap after 8 years of trying not to smile in pictures. After 2 years of Allwood's guidance, braces, appointments and the like, I am proud to say that you can't stop me from smiling. And I owe it to Allwood and her exceptional staff. If you're not happy with your smile...not sure if braces are for you...not confident in asking for help with something you DESERVE (looking good to yourself), then look no further: Northeast Orthodontic Associates will take care of you. Seriously. Best to you and your future smile!
