I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Abend, she made me feel comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She answered all the questions I had and was very reassuring. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family.

I had the worst experience there. Needed major things done. The dr wouldn't hear my complaints or take responsibility for anything. Dr S is uncaring and only for the $. First time I ever walked out of a dr office without service. Also they try to double charge me. STAY AWAY!!!

I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Salas (who is no longer there). The stitches he put in didnt last the day. So now I have a huge whole which food gets stuck in all the time. So today I went back to have it checked by Dr. Abend. I can't ever remember being talked down to by a doctor, or anyone for that matter. She was arrogant and seemed to be bothered by my situation. The nurses sarcastic "have a nice day" when I walked out certainly didnt help the situation. They MAY be adequate dentists, but the service aspect needs to be worked on.

Unpleasant Experience in Mt. Kisco Office Despite requesting paperwork to fill out ahead of time and reminding office staff several times of this fact in follow-up phone calls, I was still told upon arrival that I was late because I was supposed to arrive ahead of time to fill out paperwork. After that was "straightened out," I was told that I hadn't filled out the paperwork to the office manager's satisfaction. (I had asked how much I would be charged and put those amounts in the paperwork with my signed agreement. Instead I had to sit and wait while this was discussed among receptionist, office manager, and DDS, only to be told I must agree to being charged an unspecified amount.) Thus I must have wasted several hours or more with paperwork, drive to/from office, confusing directions to office suite within building, chastising by receptionist, interoffice chitchat about me. All in all, my experience was of feeling disrespected, faced with incompetence, and subjected to bullying. When will medical people understand that trust begins upon prospective patient's first contact with anyone in the office, before being "impressed" with any medical expertise?

Dr. Salas and the entire staff is extremely professional, runs on time and is very knowledgeable. I have had several extractions and an implant and everything was explained well as far as what to expect and all of the offices are very clean and sterile. I highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Julia Abend at this practice on February 25 for a consultation. I waited one hour and fifteen minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time to see her, I was referred by my dentist for a possible salivary gland blockage. The door to my exam room was left open the entire time I was there, zero privacy and patient confidentiality. Her first words to me were, "Hello, what is your problem?". The only reason I am giving her one star is that she correctly diagnosed my oral shingles and did leave a message for me the day after. Her bedside manner was abrupt, dismissive and uncaring. She initially hesitated to even look in my mouth, but did so after I repeatedly requested it. She then proceeded to photograph my mouth using her personal cell phone (because the office computer was down) without ever asking for my permission. An assistant held my mouth open for these photographs that caused me excruciating pain. Dr. Abend then told me to see my primary care physician for the antibiotics I needed. I was left alone in the exam room with a box of tissues, and the reception staff did not say a word to me as I left, although it was clear I was very upset. I understand she may have been running late, and everyone has bad days, but her lack of compassion was astounding. I have never been so humiliated by a doctor in my entire life.

I had all for of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Abend a few weeks ago and I cannot say enough about how professional and gentle she is. I'm not a fan of dentists in general and never had surgery before so I was really nervous. Dr. Abend made me feel very comfortable and at ease the entire time. She explained to me in detail everything. Dr. Abend was available to answer any questions or concerns my husband and I had days following my surgery. The office staff was very friendly and helpful as well. If you're looking for an oral surgeon who is knowledgeable, kind, gentle, and is great with patient care, Dr. Abend is the one for you. You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Abend took the time to be thorough in my consult and made further efforts to make sure everything was accurate regarding my case. She has excellent bedside manner and made me feel comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I have great confidence in her to provide thorough, accurate, and superior care with her all of her patients.

Its a blessing to have a professional who knows their area and does the work with ease and such a great level of confidence. She was easy to speak with and has a great sense of humor. The most important thing, she's a very knowledgable and professional doctor. If you need to get oral surgery done and have this done quickly and correctly, I highly recommend Dr. Abend.

I would highly recommend Northeast Implant & Oral Surgery. The office was extremely clean and up-to-date. Dr. Salas was knowledgeable, personable and had excellent bedside manner. The dental assistants were upbeat and made the experience more relaxed and comfortable. I had two wisdom teeth extracted under local anesthetic and it was so quick and easy that I had returned to work shortly after.

I was there for a tooth extraction and met with Dr. Salas. I can not say enough good things about him or the 2 young ladies who assisted in various ways. All were professional and pleasant, which is becoming a rarity these days, but I digress. Every step was reassuringly explained to me before hand. This is especially appreciated by me, since I would rather see an orthopedic surgeon with a compound femur fracture than any oral practitioner. (NOT an exaggeration.) Everything went significantly smoother than I expected. The only other thing I can say is Thank you and , hmmm, not that I hope to see you again, but if I do I will be comfortable and know I am being well cared for.

Dr. Julia Abend DDS is THE BEST DOCTOR!! I had a teeth extraction back in November 2019 and later, in March, I had implant surgery. I received so much information during my consultations with Julia Abend, which made preparation time and post-surgery recovery period much easier for me. I am very happy with the results. The bottom line is - this office is incredibly professional, kind, and informative and oral surgeon Julia Abend is the best doctor that I met in my life. There is no other dentist I would go to or recommend! When you find the best, you keep it! Thank you!
