I had double jaw surgery done with Dr. Jacob in June 2021. I am extremely happy with my results. No more jaw pain and chewing problems. I also feel much more confident with my new smile. The surgery was definitely well worth it, thanks to Dr. Jacob and his team!

Let me begin by saying I put off my wisdom tooth removal as I'm a big baby when it comes to dentists/ oral surgeons. Took me awhile to work up the courage, but I eventually went in for a consultation and spoke with Dr. Lee. She made me very comfortable, explained the process and even made me laugh as to ease my anxiety. I went back two weeks later to have my wisdom teeth removed. The minute I stepped in the door, I felt at ease. The whole staff was super friendly and comforting. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and staff as they really know how to take care of their anxious patients.

I was referred here and I called when I did a women picked up and while I was still introducing myself I was hung up on I thought maybe it was a mistake or maybe she got busy but I never received a call back. Very unprofessional and rude

Dr. Jessica Lee, of NEFOSS, comes with my highest recommendation. Both of my daughters required oral surgery to attach brackets to teeth up in the gums to help bring them down / expose them. The consultation itself included 3-D X-rays and a decent amount of Dr. Lee's time. This was immediately helpful, insightful and pleasant; we left the office with answers to all of our questions that had been lingering for months prior, as well as relief & confidence that the procedures would go smoothly. And they did. The surgeries themselves were successful, quick, according to plan - all handled with skill and precision. The recovery time was even shorter than predicted and required no pain medication! Follow-up visits were proactively scheduled and went smoothly. All in all, this was a very positive experience. We are very grateful for having found Dr. Jess Lee & NEFOSS!

I want to share some of my frustrations with this office and my experience today. My first complaint, which is relevant to events which transpired today, is that the office is impossible to reach between the hours of 12:30 - 2:00 PM. During this time you are guaranteed to get a voicemail stating that the office is out to lunch and staff cannot be reached at this time. From my experience today, I had called and scheduled my consultation appointment with Dr. Jacobs on February 8th and given the appointment time of 3/24 at 2:00 PM. As a new patient, this amount of time is to be expected but I asked to be contacted if any earlier cancellations occur. I was contacted on March 8th regarding a cancelled appointment and if I would be available to change my appointment to March 10th at 1:00 PM. As a healthcare worker myself, I decided this would be too short of notice for my employer and wanted to keep my original appointment. I returned the call on March 8th at 1:00 PM, received the usual the office is out to lunch message during this window of time, and left a non emergent voicemail stating that I did not want to change the date and time of my appointment. I wanted to play it safe and confirm that the message had been received so I called the office again on March 9th. During this phone call, I spoke directly with staff and confirmed that my appointment had not been changed and remained scheduled for 3/24 at 2:00 PM. I remember during this call that I specifically asked to be reminded of the time of the appointment as I needed to make a time off request for work and determine when my work day would need to conclude in order to make the appointment. Today is the 24th, as a new patient I figured it would be wise to arrive to the office early for any potential paperwork. I arrived at 1:45 PM. Similar to my experience to this point with calling the office, I arrive to no staff available or in sight, reasonable COVID restrictions requesting to call the office before entering, and the same voicemail message stating that the office is out to lunch. One other patient and I, who also arrived early for a 2:00 appointment, are left standing until approximately 2:10 as the staff leisurely return from their break. I then speak to the receptionist, which begins as usual with my name and time of appointment. However, she informs me that my appointment is scheduled for 4/26 at 1:00 PM. Confused, I outline the same phone calls and process regarding my appointment as I did above. This staff member notes that a different staff member had written notes regarding the change to my appointment and requested I wait to speak with her for clarification. The other staff member arrives and explains that it is documented that I had contacted the office with a need to change my appointment. I again outline my previous phone calls and note that this call to change the appointment did not occur. She acknowledged a misunderstanding and an uncertainty of how this occurred but ultimately, I am told that there is nothing that can be done except to wait for this new appointment and I would be contacted if an earlier cancellation occurred. My frustrations lie in two separate areas. 1) As an active doctor's office, I can't understand how they have a significant stretch of time where no staff is actively available for patients both calling and arriving. Allowing their staff a healthy lunch break is positive, but I feel the most effective implementation would be to stagger these times to avoid this unavailability. 2) Between calling the office and the staff I spoke with at reception today, I had spoken to a different staff member each time. The staff members had left their "notes" in the system at each point of contact. However, one of these staff members made this error and I feel that part of the cause is the number of different people making changes. It feels that the office/reception can be more organized in scheduling. Lastly, if you have an appointment scheduled for 4/26, I suggest you call to confirm as this error likely involves another.

On a return overseas flight a year ago, completely out of the blue, I experienced excruciating ear pain as if someone was stabbing ice picks in both of my ears. I have NEVER had a problem flying, and I was beside myself in pain. When I got home, I immediately went to my PCP to try to find out what was going on. One of my eardrums was a little swollen, but it didn't warrant medication. Over the next three months, I went back to my PCP's office two more times, seeing two different PA's who still could not determine a cause: at this point I couldn't eat anything but a soft diet, I couldn't talk without pain, and it was impossible to sleep because each side of my head was so painful, even to touch. On the third visit, the PA gave me some ear drops and said that if they did not make a difference, I would need to see an ENT. When there was no change, it had been three months since the instantaneous onset of symptoms. So I left the office to schedule an appointment with an ENT. It took less than 8 seconds for the ENT to declare, "You don't have an ear problem; you have TMJ! You'll need to see an oral surgeon." I've NEVER had a TMJ issue of any kind that I knew about. I sat in the ENT's parking lot, called my dentist for a referral for oral surgeons, and got on the phone immediately with all 6 of them. I could only get an appointment 2 weeks out with one of them, and then called Dr. Jacob's office. He asked me, "Can you be here in 10 minutes?!" I flew to his office and received incredible care right away. The photographs and panoramic X-rays revealed that both condyles in my jaw were disintegrating. His diagnosis was that I would require a bilateral TMJ joint replacement surgery to correct the issue. The prosthesis would be created at a laboratory in Ventura, CA, and the surgery was scheduled for several months out. All of this was pre-Covid which ultimately altered some of the original plans. In a subsequent visit, more pictures were taken and compared to the originals indicating further deterioration. Measurements were taken and a mold created to make the prosthesis: a 3-month long process. I knew no one who had ever had this kind of surgery, and it was a pretty terrifying prospect. I began working with a rheumatologist as well, in hopes of discovering the cause of my bone disintegration and whether it was caused by a systemic arthritis of some sort. The jury is still out on that, even post-surgery and the pathology report. I chose Morristown Medical Center for my procedure. The surgery was long: 5 1/2 hours, and it required one night in the ICU and a subsequent night in a step-down unit. But the care I received was exceptional, and my surgical team from Northeast Facial and Oral Surgery Specialists, LLC: Dr. Jacob, Dr. Aziz and Dr. Lee did astounding work and very attentive post-surgery care! Fortunately, I had three physical therapy sessions before my surgery which made a HUGE difference in my recovery. About 2 days post surgery, I was able to begin PT, using the exercises I had already learned. I resumed PT with my physical therapists 3 weeks post-surgery, and am working hard to improve and restore muscle control and speech issues. Trying to find an oral surgeon to do this particular surgery was difficult; I did go for a second opinion, and I could not find a surgeon in North Jersey who would even attempt to do it, it is so intricate and specialized. I am SO very thankful I discovered Dr. Jacob and his team. I cannot recommend their expertise enough! The recovery is not easy, and there have been significant challenges over the past couple of weeks with eating and typical recovery issues from an extensive surgical experience. But I trust that I will continue to receive exceptional care and guidance going forward, and would absolutely recommend Northeast Facial and Oral Surgery Specialists, LLC to anyone who requires this particular TMJ joint replacement or other oral surgery procedure.

Jaw surgery was a scary idea at first and I dreaded the process. But Dr. Gregg Jacob was very understanding and compassionate through the whole process that it was a breeze. The surgery was a great success and recovery has gone exceptionally well. This surgery was a life changer and I wouldn't have wanted to do it anywhere else.

5 words: this man changed my life. I needed reconstructive jaw surgery back in 2011 and was referred to Dr. Jacob. With the utmost expertise and care, he performed the surgery, which helped not only improve my aesthetic appearance, but more importantly my jaw's functionality and thusly my mental well-being. He has been honest and open with me from day one and has always listened to any info or feedback that i had. I continue to be treated by him bc i truly trust him with my LIFE. If you are experiencing any doubts as to whether or not he would be the right doctor, let me assure you once again that you will be in absolutely GREAT hands. He is a caring individual who will be concerned with only one thing: YOUR best interests. Please dont hesitate if you have any facial/dental issues. He is about as forthcoming and honest as they come. Not much more to say other than what i opened with: the man changed my LIFE. Good luck to you.

I was referred to this practice by my Family dentist and I was seen same day for a severe tooth ache infection . I needed an extraction due to infection and was seen by Dr. Jacob . The team was extremely professional and kind. Everyone from the receptionist to his assistants and espically Dr. Jacob was amazing . I have since been back for an implant and to fix work from another extraction done by a different place and it feels more like a nice visit to an old friend than a dentist visit . The office is immaculate and Dr Jacob is a perfectionist . I can't say enough wonderful things about this practice but I will just say , don't hestitate to book any appointment here . You won't regret it .

I recently had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr Jacobs. I have to say I was a nervous wreck because I never had a tooth removed. I had a consultation with him prior to the surgery and he made me feel so much better and calmer because I knew immediately he was an expert in this field and his mannerisms were amazing. I'm 56 years old and I was loosing part of my body forever. Well needless to say the procedure went perfectly. I'm writing this review , which I rarely ever do, because my experience with Dr Jacobs was exceptional and he deserves great reviews. Thank you again Dr Jacobs.

I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I was extremely nervous until I got to Dr. Jacobs office and each and everyone of his staff members were absolutely amazing. I was so grateful to have them explain every little thing to me and make me feel so comfortable and calm about this procedure. I called Meghan and Heather and ask a million questions before and after the surgery and they both were so unbelievably helpful. The surgery went great. Dr Jacobs did a great job and I had absolutely no problems at all. I highly recommend Dr Jacob!
