Originally fromCape Town, South Africa, Dr. Turok grew up inVirginia Beach, Virginia. He received his Undergraduate degree at theUniversity of Virginiaand his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree fromVirginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Turok then completed a post-graduateAEGD residency (Advanced Education in General Dentistry)at theUniversity of Florida School of Dentistrywhere he received comprehensive training in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry, orthodontics, surgical implant placement and implant restoration.
Dr. Turok has completed extensive Continuing Education programs on cutting edge dental technologies, including courses atSpear Education-where he is a Faculty Club member,theDawson Academy,Piper- Mckee TMJ Education,The American Academy of Implant DentistryandInvisaligntraining amongst many others. He has achievedFellowship Status with theAcademy of General Dentistry, an achievement held by less than 6% of General Dentists. Dr. Turok serves as a board member ofAES (American Equilibration Society),an organization focusing onOcclusion, TMD, and Comprehensive Care.
Additional focuses have included Facially-Generated Cosmetic Treatment Planning and Dental Sleep Medicine in treatment of Sleep Apnea and Snoring. Dr. Turok is a member of theAmerican Academy of Dental Sleep Medicineand serves as The Clinical Director of Dental Sleep Medicine at the practice. His passion isDigital Smile Designwhere he is able to design his cosmetic cases and communicatethe plans digitally to patients to give them away to 'try their smile' before proceeding with any treatment. He is one of the only fewin the Chicagoland area with aSmile DesignerCertificationthroughtheSmilefyAcademy.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Turok gives back to the community through various dental outreach programs, includingSpecial Olympics,Dental Access Days, andTeam Smile- where every year he links with the Chicago Bears to provide free dentistry for children in need. More than anything, Dr. Turok loves spending time with his ever growing family- wife-Doniele, son-Jax, and daughters-Joey andParker.
Dr. D. Milton Salzer received his D. D. S. degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where he also served on the faculty for more than 8 years, as an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics and Oral Diagnosis. For 15 years he was on the Adjunct Medical Staff of Methodist Hospital of Chicago. He has been awarded Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Salzer received the Meritorious Service Award from the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, the Ted Weclew Award from the international College of Dentists, and the William F. Tower Award from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He also received the Distinguished Member Award for community service and service to the profession from the Illinois State Dental Society, where he continues as Editor of the Illinois Dental News. in addition, he has served in many capacities for the Chicago Dental Society Mid-Winter Meeting.

This is an amazing dental practice! Dr.s Turok and Salzer are both skilled and compassionate dentists who excel at helping people with sensitive teeth. The hygienists are equally as skilled and caring. I have been a patient here for at least 10 years, and my wife's entire family for much longer than that.

I needed a new dentist when we moved up north and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Turok. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so welcoming, kind and professional. Dr. Turok is fantastic, very thorough and explains all procedures so clearly. I've always had a great experience.

NORTHBROOK DENTISTRY has been caring for my teeth for the past twenty years and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! Dr. Turok continues to update all types of equipment, providing state-of-the-art treatment and practices. They have gone above and beyond in adapting their office to the highest level of safety under Covid restrictions, and I feel completely safe and comfortable in that regard as well. Dr. Turok, as well as the clinical and administrative staff, is highly focused on serving patients with care, concern, and efficiency. They offer and suggest every opportunity to maintain and improve the health of my teeth, and I have never had a procedure that was not warranted completely. They have earned a 5-star rating from me!

Dr. Turok and his entire staff are incredible! I know I am receiving the best level of care and feel that the whole office is invested in my dental health. I always leave my appointments with a smile on my face and peace of mind that I am being treated like family. This the best dental practice ever-hands down!!!!

I just completed my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Turok. I can't imagine a better doctor to handle this than Dr. Turok. He was helpful, thorough, knowledgeable, and most importantly very personable with great bedside manner--a true professional in every sense of the word. The care and service from the support staff was also better than any other dentist practice I've been to in the past. I would highly recommend Dr. Turok and Northbrook Dentistry for any of your dental needs.

Dr. Turok is AMAZING! My family recently (approx 1 year) switched to his practice & we could not be more confident in (& happy with) our decision! His front office staff is always welcoming & excited to see us. They're organized, polite & knowledgeable. The hygienists are meticulous, delicate, personable & genuine. Dr. Turok is beyond anything you can imagine! We have three young children who do not love the dentist, but adore Dr. Turok simply because he makes their "experience in the chair" enjoyable and painless. His state of the art technology combined with his genuine care for his patients is beyond anything you'll experience on the North Shore.

The two best drs for dentistry in Chicago are Dr Hurst and Dr Turok. Hurst was the undisputed best for 30 years, was chair of Northwestern Dentistry, and recently retired. That makes Turok (Hurst's trainee and apprentice) the best choice currently practicing.

My family has been going to this practice for well over 45 yrs so I would think that in itself is testimony of the kind of caring dentistry they have developed. I travel 40 min just to see them & wouldn't think to go elsewhere.

BEST DENTIST EVER! He repaired my tooth perfectly and I have not had any issues. He truly tries to get to know his customers very well and is the BEST at maintaining relationships with them. It's almost like he keeps an autobiography of you in his head! My entirely family goes to him and loves him. Awesome person, phenomenal dentist, if you don't see him right now you need to switch over!
