Northampton Dental is an EXPENSIVE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY PRACTICE. We've had to repeatedly seek 2nd AND 3rd opinions over the years. There have been NUMEROUS instances where we were given costly dental advice from Northampton Dental that was explained to us as being a necessity but after seeking second, and even third opinions, from qualified dentists with their own practices, it seems clear that Northampton Dental takes NO CONSIDERATION for how their patients will cover the cost of these unnecessary procedures. In almost every instance we've questioned the cost or necessity that was communicated by Northampton Dental, we were told by other dentists (plural) that the information we had been given by this practice was NOT accurate. I have a long list of examples of products and procedures we were told were necessary, according to Northampton Dental, in order to avoid the fabricated possibility of damage to our teeth and/or jaws, totaling around $10,000. They only explained the costly (and more profitable) options they wanted us to take, and despite our inquiring about less costly alternatives, none were ever presented to us. That is, until two other dentists offered us their very different opinions and prevented us from investing any money in the solutions to "problems" that were not actually an issue, as Northampton Dental claimed. Furthermore, they are NOT accommodating in the slightest. After waiting weeks to be seen for a filling that had fallen out, I called to notify the staff I had arrived for my appointment, only to be told it had to be rescheduled more than a month later. When I expressed that rescheduling it that far out was unacceptable, I was added to a call list--only after I had to request that they do so in order to try and get me in sooner. My husband's also had to have a broken crown looked at. When he called to make the appointment to have it fixed, they told him that he would have to come in for a cleaning first, during the cleaning is when they said they would assess it and then he could make a follow-up appointment to fix it. When he arrived for his cleaning, he was THEN told that the dentist was not available and that he would have to make a second appointment JUST for that (taking MORE time off of work, costing more in copays, and more time dealing with the pain) before they would even address the issue of fixing his broken crown (in a THIRD appointment). After expressing these concerns to their office manager, it took two full business days (6 days after my initial call to their office about billing) for her to check in with the doctors, before I received a call back to tell me that the billing on their end looked accurate and the payment was due in 2 days or there would be an additional fee. AND THOSE ARE JUST A FEW REASONS WHY WE WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND Northampton Dental.

I don't like dentists that won't see clients for one visit.
