All aboard! You will notice Dr. Copenhavers passion for trains throughout the offices, from the artwork on the walls to the actual working trains that carrypatient pictures around the treatment areas. Dr. Copenhaver is a licensed pilot and an accomplished musician, and enjoys flying when he can and playing guitar at his church, St. Jude, and other venues around Allen and McKinney.
Dr. Copenhaver began his education with a full music scholarship to Texas Christian University, from whichhe graduated with a major in biology and a minor in music. He went on to the University of Texas Dental Branch, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and then to Temple University School of Dentistry for orthodontic specialty training and his Master of Science in dentistry.
While serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Copenhaver was stationed in Germany and at the Air Force Academy, where he practiced general dentistry, oral surgery, and maxillofacial reconstruction, and served as an orthodontic instructor until he retireda full Colonel and veteran of Desert Storm.
In 1988, Dr. Copenhaver moved his beautiful wife Lindsey to Allen. He and his wife have been blessed to raise three wonderful daughtersAlex, Dionne, and Kyaland now enjoying watching their five grandchildren being raised here in the community they love.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Mxico, Dr. Nurko obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mxico in 1992. He then completed a three-year pediatric dentistry residency, and earned a Master of Science in dentistry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1996.
Dr. Nurko served on the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio for five years as an assistant professor of pediatric dentistry. He earned his board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2002, and was recertified in 2013.
In addition to his commitment to private practice, Dr. Nurko has been very active in research and academics. He lectures at variouslocal study groups, dental societies, and internationally. Since 2007, he has been involved with the North Texas Give Kids a Smile program, for which he servedas chairmanin 2011 and 2012. He is cofounder of the Smile Change Lives Texas chapter and the North Texas Hispanic Dental Association.

Professional, knowledgeable, warm and friendly describe NTOA. My daughter and I both are receiving orthodontic treatment from Dr. Nurko and his wonderful staff. I highly recommend them to friends and have been very happy with my experience working with their team.

North Texas Orthodontics were very friendly and thorough with my daughter! They took their time and made sure she was comfortable and explained everything. They were very gentle and made sure she was good every step of the way. I may go to them for my braces.

The front desk staff here is consistently and chronically rude. Every time I bring my son for a checkup I want to give them another chance but one young woman in particular always has a scowl on her face and her delivery of speech is just so incredibly rude. The ladies at ve desk can also always be heard gossiping which is extremely unprofessional. We're halfway through this second round of braces for my son otherwise I would switch offices.

Both my girls have had braces here. One is done and her teeth look great. The other is getting there but keeps breaking brackets. They are very patient about it

I am not happy with this place. The work they did on my daughter's teeth was not very good especially for how much the whole process cost. I am also not happy with the attitude and service of the front desk lady. We came in today July 7th. She is a young lady with glasses and long wavy hair. It looked like she did not want to be there and did not even look at us for about 3 or 4 minutes of us standing right in front of her. Least to say I'm very disappointed.

North Texas Orthodontist is pretty awesome. Like every time I would go to an appointment I felt like I was talking to my friends cause all of them were so friendly. Also all my friends complain about their ortho doctors but like Dr. Nurko is so good this job. No complaints.

My family and I moved to Frisco and had to finish my son treatment, well we found North TEXAS ORTHOPEDIC. Well starting from the first appointment, I was very impressed, we was first welcomed with a sign out front to welcome my son. The staff and Doctor omg are the sweetest group of ppl, everyone always so friendly and helpful, I am for sure my daughter will be coming next when needed. If you need and orthodontist I would recommend this one hands down .I assure you would have a great experience.
