Dr. Ritu Sood is a graduate of Boston University where she received her DMD degree. She has been practicing dentistry since 1998. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association , Denton County Dental Society and The IndoAmerican Dental Association. Since Dentistry is an ever changing field, Dr. Sood stays on top of her skills by attending a variety of continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry, sleep disorders, TMJ disorders, Implant dentistry, conscious sedation and others. She actively listens to your concerns and is keen on building long lasting relationships while providing gentle and high quality dental care for you and your family.

Saw Dr Sood at north star dentistry for preventive care, who convinced me to get a deep cleaning done. Have been suffering from teeth sensitivity to hot foods since then. I have not been to the dentist for almost 18 years and the first time I tried going to a dentist ended up having a permanent problem. I am no longer able to enjoy my regular foods I eat on a daily basis. Wish I had never done the deep cleaning.

Be careful don't let ur cavities grow and become root canals. Root canal mean effectively u lose ur tooth. The teeth is ground hollow and nerves r burned. An artificial cap is put on top. It feels like u lost ur original tooth. Big price for ignoring little cavities. It is preventable! Take care...take regular visuals to dentist like North Star and take care of ur cavities before they get too big! Thx!

My fiance was having severe pain in his right molar and he is deathly afraid of dentists after a horrific experience getting multiple teeth pulled without numbing or any kind of medicine as a child but I talked him in to coming here and we had the BEST experience, the staff and doctor is sooo nice and they are super accommodating to our situation. They ended up pulling his tooth and they made sure to keep us in the loop as to what they were doing and making sure he was not in pain. 10/10 recommend this place.

Look no further, you have found your new dentist. I frequented North Star Dentistry for many years, but then I moved. North Star Dentistry is clean and updated. I have seen my fair share of dentist offices in between moving out of state, then back to Lewisville and now my current location and I always think of how outdated most dentist offices are. There are small luxuries about North Star Dentistry that I miss. They put vaseline on your lips prior to cleanings. This small detail is nice when you feel that your lips are dry or feel like they're going to crack from keeping your mouth open. They also put rolled cotton wedges on the inside of your cheeks so that you don't have to strain and hold your mouth open during your entire cleaning. They let you listen to music during your cleaning. It was nice to put in headphones and crank up some jams during my visits. Dr. Pawar is a great dentist. She must have a good memory or takes notes because she would inquire about things mentioned during your last visit (not regarding your teeth). I had a great dental hygienist, too. I highly recommend this place!

Dr. Pawar rocks. She's awesome and she's been my dentist for many years. She's very patient when treating my kids too. She'll work with you if you you don't have dental insurance and give very affordable rates for her services. I was without dental insurance for a few months in the past and she gave me very affordable rates for the services I needed at the time. I highly recommend North Star Dentistry.

Dr. Rita Sood is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. My family has used her for around 10 years and she is a BREATH OF FRESH AIR !!! She actually CARES about your dental health, she actually tries to SAVE your teeth, and she spends most of her time checking your TEETH instead of your INSURANCE POLICY !!!!! SO REFRESHING !!!!!!
