Wisdom teeth removal is one of the most common oral surgery procedures we do at North Sound Oral and Facial Surgery. In many cases, wisdom teeth removal is identical to any other tooth extraction procedure. Removing an impacted wisdom tooth (when it is still beneath the gums) is a slightly more involved process. In either case, the procedure typically lasts between one and two hours, and many of our patients are back to their normal routine within a few days. For most people, wisdom teeth erupt sometime in the late teens or early twenties, but they can start to develop beneath the gums much earlier, around age 11 or 12. Wisdom teeth (also called third molars) are your final set of molars to emerge.
Most patients simply do not have enough room in the mouth to accommodate their wisdom teeth. Because of this lack of space, wisdom teeth tend to grow in sideways or become impacted, which can cause various oral health problems such as the following:

They say there is no place like home and I completely agree. After facing some major dental challenges imagine how fortunate I felt discovering the incredible North Sound facility right here in my own beloved home town! Meeting Dr. Pardeep Brar and his wonderful staff was such a blessing. I did not have to have to travel miles and miles to have such a life changing procedure. Each person I met at North Sound Oral & Facial Surgery made me feel comforted and cared about and gave me a deep sense of peace and calm. My implants are finally completed and my experience a favorable one. I highly recommend this specialized office of fantastic professional caregivers with all my heart. I have extreme anxiety at the dentist but have had good experiences with my current dentist who recommended me to North Sound for wisdom teeth removal. However, while he may be a good surgeon, Dr. Brar was extremely rude and demeaning. Just minutes before I went under the last thing I remember him saying to me was "I wouldn't have waited this long". I also woke up twice during the surgery itself and very vividly remember the pain of having both lower teeth pulled on. I tried to tell him to stop through the fog before going under again. Horrible experience. Wouldn't go back or take my own kids there. That being said, his team was very nice and could tell I was uncomfortable with the way he treated me. They did their best to make me feel better under lousy conditions.

I required a dental implant in a very narrow and complicated area of my mouth. My dental issue was stressing me out until I found Dr. Brar, I'm so grateful! He was exceptional in explaining the procedures involved and throughout each procedure checked to see if I was okay. He was very gentle, kind, thorough and his surgical skills are amazing. It was painless and everything healed based on his recommendations. Everyone in the office is very professional and friendly, the office is immaculate and has such state-of-the-art technology/machinery. Thank you, Dr. Brar and to your staff - what a fantastic team! I highly recommend Dr. Brar's office for dental implants and any oral surgery that you may need.

I had some wisdom teeth removed, and the whole process was amazingly smooth and easy from start to finish. After the surgery I had little to no pain--even 1 week after (they recommend a long-lasting painkiller administered during the surgery, which I took). The receptionists and Dr. Brar were incredibly nice and professional. They answered any and all my questions, and had a few check up calls even after they had my money, which shows they care about doing a good job as opposed to milking patients for as much money as possible. The price was fair and worth every dollar. I couldn't have asked for better.

I have just completed oral surgery and follow up procedures at Dr. BRAR'S office. It was so pain free and easy I am astounded! After one extraction, bone and tissue implants, 2 dental implants, I can honestly say there was never a moment of pain or even discomfort. Dr. BRAR and his staff are caring, competent, and highly professional. I strongly recommend Dr. BRAR'S OFFICE for oral surgery!

Dr. Brar and his staff are virtual miracle- workers. I had to get a tooth extraction and had potential issues related to this extraction. Having a fear of all dental work and extreme anxiety, I was worried about the process. When I went in to consult with Dr. Brar, I was immediately put at ease. He understood my fear and was thoughtful in his explanation of what I should expect which prepared me well for the surgery. If anyone had tried to tell me I would feel zero pain I would not have believed a word of it. However, from beginning to end, I did not and, three days later, have not felt a moment of pain. Nor have I had to take anything for pain. No Tylenol or ibuprofen. I'm stunned by that. The calm and ease I've experienced throughout this procedure has been unlike any I've experienced with any doctor or medical procedure. Dr. Brar is a master in the art of dentistry and we are exceedingly lucky to have him in our community. I am eternally grateful to North Sound Oral and Facial Surgery. I went from extraordinary pain to zero pain. Deep gratitude to Dr. Brar and his staff for exceptional work.

Nobody 'LIKES' to have dental surgery... but Dr Brar and his staff do an excellent job putting you at ease. They provide you with pre and post videos along with written instructions, and are available to answer your questions every step of the way. From the initial consult with Dr Brar to the final follow-up phone call checking to see how your are doing... you receive personalized attention. They will do their best to ensure your insurance claims are processed.

I was extremely anxious about my dental work yesterday. I realize now that I had no need to worry, I was in good hands. Dr. Prar took out four teeth in about an hour. Everyone in his office was very supportive and helpful, especially "Bri." This practice seemed to come together like a well oiled machine. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I would recommend going elsewhere for your surgical needs. Rude and condescending staff, poor surgery, and an overall poor experience. They only care about getting into your wallet and moving on to the next customer as soon as possible. They do not care about your post-op needs. From what I can tell, it also looks like they somehow remove negative reviews. Avoid this place.

If you are wondering whether Exparel is worth the extra money, I will tell you that it absolutely is. My daughter had wisdom teeth extracted without it 5 years ago and my son had wisdom teeth removed with Exparel in 2021. He never reported any pain. He never even took Advil. He didn't need to eat soft foods. My daughter had a week of misery.
