Every day I wake up, I thank God that I chose to be an orthodontist. The profession allows me to meet and interact with unique and different people every day. Im a people person. People come to see me because they want a better smile, and I take great pride in delivering the smiles they want and deserve. For a number of patients, this is a life-changing experience! It feels good to see patients, who started out shy because of their crooked teeth, leave my office after treatment with perfectly straight teeth, now confident and outgoing!
Dr. Smith attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Then he received his DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he graduated in the top of his class while receiving multiple awards and honors. After dental school, Dr. Smith served his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center before returning to Tufts for his post-graduate degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Smith is a member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, and is in line to become the next president. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, Tufts Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Smith is originally from New Haven, Connecticut, and loves living on Long Island, where he has resided for almost 20 years. When he is not in the office, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his daughter Madison, traveling, and cheering on the New York Mets!
North Shore Orthodontics is just simple amazing ! The staff is very well organized. They are very helpful and gentle on your mouth. If it were not for them I would have never been able to get braces on.
