Dr. Scott Frank was born and raised in Chicago. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University in 1987.

Dr. Frank was selected from numerous applicants by the American Cancer Society to participate in a head and neck cancer externship at the University of Chicago Hospital. He then completed an intensive residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. This program placed a strong emphasis on dentoalveolar surgery (including the excision of wisdom teeth, extractions, bone and tissue grafts, infections, pathology, and trauma and anesthesia techniques.)

Dr. Franks specialized interests include hard and soft tissue reconstructive surgery, regenerative bone grafting, sinus bone grafting for the placement of dental implants, smile enhancement techniques, and the removal of teeth and wisdom teeth.

Dr. Frank served as a surgeon of a prominent dental implant team specializing in the All-On-4 concept (also known as Teeth-in-a-day) where the patient receives an entire set of new teeth for upper and/or lower arch. Dr. Frank has continued to provide this treatment concept at NSSS under the nameReVitaSmile and enjoys being able to help patients change their lives. With anesthesia, you are unlikely to experience any discomfort during implant placement. While all patients are different, many All-on-4 patients have commented on how surprised they were with the minimal discomfort they felt during and after the procedure. Most patients tell us the benefits of theirAll-on-4 makeover far out-weigh any discomfort they may have experienced.

A denture is a removable dental device that replaces missing teeth. The denture needs to be removed by the patient several times a day for cleaning and maintenance. Common complaints include mobility of the teeth with loss of confidence to speak and eat, food under the denture, and sore spots. All-on-4 provides secure teeth that are removable ONLY by the dentist. Because they are fixed to the dental implants the teeth will not move with speaking and eating. Wearing a denture limits food choices while a All-on-4 makeover allows you to eat all the foods you love.

Initially you will have liquids and soft, non-chewy foods. You will quickly get to a soft solid diet as the implants heal for 4-6 months. Once the final bridge is placed your ability to chew should be back to normal.

If you care for your $, stay away from this provider. I had to pay $2700 out of pocket for my daughter's 4 wisdom teeth extraction. They charge $850 for anesthesia!!! Even though my BCBS PPO insurance was in network, there was literally very little contract discount/reduction and I ended up paying most of their inflated, sky high charges out of pocket. First they wouldn't accept X-ray from another dentist that I had already paid for and wanted to charge me $350 but I refused and after a bit of struggle made them accept the X-rays. Then they asked us to pay 40% of their sticker price ($1350) up front on the day of surgery, even though I had insurance. Given it was the last few days of the year and we had to get this done before end of the year, I had no choice and paid reluctantly. On top they submitted incorrect claim to insurance which at first denied the claim, and these guys hounded me to pay the full amount and threatened collections. I had to go back and forth several times with them and insurance, to sort eveything out and had them resubmit the claims. In the end after several months of painful back and forth, paid $2700 for a 15 minute work and 30 minutes of observation. I would have paid at least 1k less with another surgeon that was out of network. I went to this provider because they came up as in network and was hoping it would be far less than an out of network surgeon that I first went to, but I was wrong. The following year I took my other daughter to the out of network surgeon, paid 1K less for 5 teeth extraction and had a much better experience.

My wife had taken our daughter here for a free consultation, however, when we decided not to use them due to the cost, the secretary stated, the doctors time is not free and then informed us she would put us into collections for $235 unless we paid $80 for the 10 minutes that we were there. She continued to harass us for weeks demanding the money we "owed" for the doctors time. It turned out that the surgery wasn't even necessary and resolved itself within a few months. I would have given zero stars if I could.
