Dr. Todd Mabry and Dr. Colleen Murphy are three of the most highly respected dentists in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area. Dedicated to optimizing both the health and appearance of our patients teeth, they perform a wide array of general and cosmetic dentistry treatments that spans from routine cleanings and oral cancer screenings to porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and dental implants. Lincoln Childrens Dental Clinic, and he remains involved with the Arizona Dental Associations Give Kids a Smile program that serves children in need. Dr. Mabry is also an active member of several esteemed dental organizations, and he has been named a Top Dentist by Phoenix Magazine on multiple occasions.

Dr. Murphy earned her dental degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, after which she completed a residency at Lutheran Medical Center in New York. Providing a wide range of treatments as a general dentist with our team, she is dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, and she has completed advanced training in the Invisalign clear braces system, cosmetic dental treatments, oral-conscious sedation, and BOTOX injections. In her free time, Dr. Murphy acts as a volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club dental outreach program and Christinas Smile.

We utilize a variety of safety precautions and measures, including hospital-grade sterilization, touch-free cassette to ensure sterility, spore testing, water line cleaning, and voice-activated charting to eliminate cross contamination when charting dental records.

Our team is an opioid-free practice and no longer offers pain killers. Research has shown that instead of prescribing these addictive medications, patients can achieve similar, if not better, pain relief from nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like ibuprofen, in combination with acetaminophen (i.e., TYLENOL). In addition to helping manage pain after dental procedures, ibuprofen helps reduce any inflammation that is present, as well.

The decision to take opioids requires a lot of caution, and the risks associated with these pain killers is much higher than over-the-counter medications like Advil and TYLENOL. Despite not offering opioids, Dr. Mabry and Dr. Murphy are committed to your comfort, and will help recommend a protocol for helping manage any pain you may experience after your dental procedure.

Thanks to state-of-the-art solar panels attached to our roof, North Scottsdale Dental Studio is proud to be one of the few dental practices in the country to run partially on solar energy. In addition, we utilize energy-efficient lighting all throughout our office. By taking these steps to make our practice as green as possible, we are able to limit our non-renewable energy usage and greatly reduce our carbon footprint.

Dr. Todd Mabry earned his bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Arizona in May 1995. He then graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in May 1999. After receiving his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree, he completed his residency in Southern California specializing in reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. Upon completion of his studies, Dr. Mabry returned home to Arizona and opened his Scottsdale practice in March 2003.

Dr. Mabry was raised in Phoenix and enjoys volunteering in the local community. He is a volunteer dentist at the John C. Lincoln Childrens Dental Clinic, where his father has been a practicing physician at the hospital for more than 30 years. Dr. Mabry is also involved in the Give Kids a Smile program through the Arizona Dental Association that provides dental care to underserved children. Furthermore, he is on the Board of Smile Beyond the Barsa non-profit, faith-based organization committed to changing the lives of former inmates by enhancing the appearance of their smiles with dental implants and various other tooth restoration options. In 2017, he was presented a Smile Maker Award for the exceptional care he provided as part of Smile Beyond the Bars.

Dr. Mabry is an Arizona licensed dentist and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, Spear Dental Study Club and Spear Continuing Education Center. He has also been recognized as a Top Dentist by Phoenix Magazine in 2014 and 2015, and he regularly lectures to dental hygiene students about restorative dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, road biking, mountain biking, running, swimming, hiking, skiing and generally enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his wife, family and friends.

Dr. Mabry discovered his passion for dentistry by accompanying his motherwho was a dental hygienist in the Valleyto her job when he was a kid.
