Dr. Jack Smalley attended the University of Alabama graduating in 1978 with a B.S. in Biology. He furthered his education at Alabama's School of Dentistry, graduating in 1982, with honors in periodontics and pedodontics. Dr. Smalley is skilled in dental implant techniques, cosmetic dental procedures, and complete intra-oral restoration.

I had teeth pulled and a denture put in and the denture looks great i love the work they did they are so friendly and they play christian witch i love i highly recommend this as your dentist the doctor and the nurses are very friendly

While Dr. Smalley is an awesome dentist, I've had trouble getting this dentist office to quit asking me to move my appointment. I had an appointment in February and was asked to move my appointment to March due to short staffing that was related to Covid. That was totally understandable! However, about 2 weeks before my March appointment I was asked again to move my appointment but this time to August. That's 6 months from my original appointment date!!! I have my teeth cleaned regularly and such a move would have put me at having my teeth cleaned 1 time for over a 12 month period. Not only would such a move knock me out of using my insurance paid cleanings, but it also does not follow dentist recommended cleaning protocols! I honestly felt like all appointments should have been pushed off a month, which would have opened up the April appointments for us March appointment folks. I'm being forced to change dentist for the time being because I have to get my teeth cleaning in with someone that will actually keep my appointment! My only hope is that Dr. Smalley is unaware of the mishandling of appointments and that my review makes him aware of what's going on in the front office, so that things can be made right. I've been nothing but a respectful and regular patient and only wish that such treatment would be reciprocated.

Everyone there makes you feel welcomed. They are so patient but fast and efficient at the same time. They explain everything.that is going on. Love this place and the people here.

North River Dental are the best. They are friendly, professional, and personable. They take the dread out of going to the dentist!!!! If anyone asks me recommend a dentist to them, I don't have to think about it. I'm sending them to North River Dental!!!

This dentist office is the worst experience I have ever had!! The office looked dirty and staff was fake nice... Dentist is a joke!!! Will not be going back and will tell everyone I know my experience......Dentist needs to go on and retire!!!

Very short wait times, if you wait at all. The receptionists, dental assistants and Dr.Smalley are all very professional and nice. The office is always clean! They do a great job of reminding you of appointments. 10/10

Very friendly and professional staff! Also, very clean and nice office... The exam rooms have lots of natural light and a great view of the landscaping / animals in the back.

My children had an appointment with Dr. Smalley and they really like him. They love his personality and everyone there is so friendly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

It's sometimes hard to find a doctor or dentist that you can trust-one that won't do a lot of unnecessary work and tests, etc. on you. I've been going to Dr. Smalley for 16 years since I moved her from Fla where my dentist said I needed $17,000 of work done! Dr. Smalley has filled some cavities and I've had very few problems, and he's never, ever hurt me! They're all terrific in his office. So glad we found him!

One of the best experience i had. When the hygienist cleans your teeth, you dont leave the office with your teeth and gums bleeding. Theyre very polite and Dr.Smalley has one of the best bedside manners i have ever seen!!

My wife and I have been patient's of Dr Smalley for over 20 years and would not think of going any where else.The dental serviice is outstanding , Dr Smalley and staff are very friendly and professional. Highly recommended !!!
