Dr. David Fishbaugh is a native of Alma, Michigan. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 1984. He graduated from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1998, receiving his D.D.S. degree.

In July of 1998, he was commissioned as a captain in the United States Air Force. He spent his first year in service continuing his dental education in a post-doctoral general practice residency program at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. While stationed at Comiso Air Station in Sicily, Dr. Fishbaugh realized his most satisfying experiences in dentistry revolved around treating children. He is proud to have served in the Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1992.

Dr. Fishbaugh received his Specialty Certificate of Training in pediatric dentistry from Columbus Childrens Hospital (Columbus, Ohio) as well as his Master of Science degree from the Ohio State University. Dr. Fishbaugh is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

After working in a group practice for 8 years, Dr. Fishbaugh opened North Point Pediatric Dentistry in January 2002. His vision was an office that was welcoming to parents and children from all walks of life and to provide compassionate and comfort conscious care for his patients.

We are pleased and excited to announce that Dr. Cara Kilgore will be joining our practice in July, 2016. Dr. Kilgore was born and raised in the South Bend where she graduated from Riley High School. She holds a degree in Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington and speaks fluent Spanish. After graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2010, she joined the Indian Health Services and served as the Chief Dental Office at the Penobscot Nation Indian Reservation in Maine. Cara was accepted into the Pediatric Residency Program at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she will complete her training June 2016.

Growing up, Dr. Kilgore often assisted her father, a pediatric dentist, and she has had extensive experience working with children. Dr. Fishbaugh and Dr. McCrea have both known Dr. Kilgore for several years and believe she is a perfect fit for our practice. We look forward to introducing her and are certain she will be well-received by our patients.

Dr. Carter McCrea joined North Point Pediatric Dentistry in July 2013. Dr. McCrea was born and raised in South Bend and graduated from St. Joseph High School. Best dentist ever! If only they created an adult option, then our whole family would go.

My son has a big hole and broken tooth and was in extreme pain, I had him on Motrin every 6 hours and had to put myth oil in the hole. they got us in so fast, the next day. they gave antibiotics for his infection and got him comfortable with his first dentist visit, it's super kid friendly and eased my mind that I was able to go back with him. His visit to correct the issue is far out, 1 month 1/2, which isn't satisfactory but she says he won't be in pain and just keep the mouth clean he will be alright till then. And it's been a week and she's right he's in no pain at all.

We came to North Point after a bad experience with our previous dentist. The first time they saw my six year old at North Point, they were so kind and gentle with him. They came up with a treatment plan that is much less invasive and even less costly than what we were anticipating based on our previous experience. My son has had bad anxiety surrounding dental visits since having a negative experience, and I can't thank the staff at North Point enough for putting him (and me) at ease. I now take both my sons to North Point and we are so happy we found them! My boys have gone there for regular hygienist appointments as well as crown placement thus far and there has been no drama or issues, just understanding staff who treat children like the people they are and know how to communicate with them to make them comfortable. They've been patient, reassuring, and thorough. Dr. McCrea has a way of making pediatric dentistry not-so-scary and uses common sense when creating a treatment plan, no nonsense and no unnecessary trauma. I appreciate him so much! The office itself is really nice and inviting too, cute decorations throughout and they definitely had kids in mind when filling the space. I wish they could be MY dentist lol

Both of my boys needed dental work(cavities age extractions). Dr. McRae is great with the kids. He must be very gentle because neither one cried and really didn't seem to be uncomfortable at all.

My family is very happy with this pediatric dental office and team because our child is always excited and happy to go to the dentist! My child has been seeing Dr McCrae and he makes my child feel very comfortable during visits. We are thankful for their patience and interaction. Dr McCrae answers all our questions and educates us. My child has not had any dental issues so far luckily. The office is also very clean and provides a welcoming/ fun environment for children.
