Dr. Jeff VanDeventer was born and raise in Bloomfield, Indiana and graduated from Indiana State University, then later from Indiana University School of Dentristry in 1989. He began his career as an associate dentist in Bloomfield before moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1994 and opening his own practice. In Tucson heserved on the Southern Arizona Dental Society Board from 1998-2003. Dr. VanDeventer and his family relocated to Indiana in September 2003 and began practice in Columbus, IN. They opened the doors to North Park Dentistry in late November 2005.

Dr. VanDeventer is an active member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, South Central Dental Society, Columbus Regional Dental Society and numerous study clubs. He is also a part-time faculty teacher at the Manatee Community College Dental Assisting School in Sarasota, Florida.Dr. VanDeventer enjoys learning and applying new techniques and continues to strive to make dentistry more enjoyable and affordable for people. 'I am passionate about building relationships with people and having them become very comfortable in coming in to see us.'

Dr. VanDeventer is married to Kathy (for over 29 years) and together have 3 children; Kristin, Michael and Nathan. In his free time heis family oriented and enjoys playing golf (also caddying for son Michael), coaching and watching basketball, church and the St. Louis Cardinals.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tanner Mitchell (Indiana School of Dentistry 2019) has joined our dental team in August 2019 on a full time basis. Dr. Mitchell grew up in Greenwood, Indiana and attended Purdue University from 2012-2015 majoring in Health Sciences. Dr. Mitchell and his fiance Madison are engaged to be married September 28th, 2019. Madison is employed at St Francis Hospital as a Radiation Therapist.

Dr. Mitchell is passionate and excited to not only serve our patients, but also our community as well. His beliefs of dentistry and his ethics align nicely with our core values at North Park Dentistry. Our desire has always been to provide the highest quality dental care in a pleasant, friendly environment. Our mission is to serve you and we take that responsibility very seriously. Dr. Mitchells skill set includes oral surgery, limited endodontic therapy (root canals), pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, as well as general restorative care. He will be a tremendous asset to our office, our patients, and our community as we move forward. We eagerly look forward to having you meet him in the coming months!

Shayley is a Columbus North graduate and Ivy Tech trained dental assistant currently working as our scheduling and treatment coordinator. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs, friends and family. She loves meeting our patients and helping them to feel comfortable and answer any questions they have.

Carol graduated from Aristotle Medical Dental College in 1992. She brings over 30 years of dental experience to North Park Dentistry with 21 years as a Continuing Dental Education Coordinator and 13 years as the Executive Director of South Central Dental Society. Carol has a passion for all aspects of dentistry and patient care.

Ashley graduated from Indiana University School of Dental Hygiene in May 2005 and started working at North Park Dentistry in July 2005. She enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with her husband and their two children

Nealy graduated from Indiana University School of Dental Hygiene in 2014 and started working at North Park Dentistry October 2018. She enjoys spending time with her husband on house projects, working out, gardening and being outdoors.

Kierra graduated from Franklin Dental Assistant School in February 2019 and began working for North Park Dentistry in April that same year. She is getting married in September 2019 to Jacob. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with Jacob and family, finding something crafty, and attending her local church.
