Drs. Meek, Koen, Havard, Friend, and Scott have more than six decades of combined pediatric dental experience in central Arkansas. Each of our doctors received an extra two years of dental training to specialize in working with children and maintaining their beautiful smiles.
Doctor Friend received an undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee, where he also completed a residency in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Friend is a certified pediatric dentist recognized by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is on staff at Arkansas Childrens Hospital and Conway Regional Medical Center.
Doctor Havard received an undergraduate degree from Harding University. He attended his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, where he then completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry. He also completed residencies at Childrens Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He is on staff at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Doctor Koen received an undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery before completing his two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Koen is a board-certified pediatric dentist recognized by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is on staff at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Stefanie Meek earned an undergraduate degree from University of Central Arkansas. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Tennessee. After dental school, she completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Meek is a board-certified pediatric dentist recognized by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on staff at Arkansas Childrens Hospital and Conway Regional Medical Center.
Dr. John Scott earned his bachelors degree in Biochemistry and Math from Westminster College in Missouri. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at UAMS in Little Rock. He then worked as a dentist at Arkansas Childrens Hospital for two years. After working at Childrens Hospital, he completed a residency in pediatric dentistry. He received his Masters of Science in Dentistry from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

I loved it . My 3yo son had difficulties getting settled in as it was his first dental visit. The dentist played counting games with him until she got him comfortable, and gave him his toothbrush bag early so that he would be motivated. When the doctor came in to check for cavities, my son got a little scared again but again the doctor played and motivated him the whole time "you're being such a good helper" , "you're going to love picking out your prize" , etc. great first dentist visit for us !

Always pleased with the clinic! Staff is friendly and courteous. I have 2 daughters who have grown up with Dr. Friend being their pediatric dentist. Currently youngest daughter is a senior in high school. I have NO regrets! Thanks to the entire staff for a job well done! Dorothy Young

We have used this group for over 20 years for both of our children. We have been very happy with the service and care provided, especially Dr. Havard. That being said, I had a bad experience with them recently. The billing office refused to re-bill a claim that was filed under the incorrect insurance. They stated that their policy is that after 30 days-it's my responsibility and that they will not re-bill. I agree I should have noticed and made contact sooner (Our dental insurance carrier changed, we did not change employers). If the mood had been more of, "I'd like to help, but I can't", I would be upset, but I wouldn't be writing this review. The mood of, "Sorry, pay me" has me upset. Why would you treat a 20 year customer this way? So, our family will be moving to a new Dentist. Which sucks bad, because like I said-the care was great.

The NLR Pediatric Dental Group is amazing!! Everyone from the front office, to the back office are always helpful and friendly. The hygienists are so good with the kiddos. My 6 year old was so afraid to go to the dentist. Now that she sees Dr. Friend, she is all smiles. He and the other dentists are compassionate, patient, flexible and just wonderful! If your kiddos need a dentist, definitely the place to take them!

We went here after being referred by our regular dentist for a surgical consultation. They were amazing! Their friendly atmosphere calmed my son's nerves. They never pushed him and were so encouraging! After we finished the exam, they worked hard to get a treatment plan that I felt comfortable with and knew all of the details. They were amazing!
