Dr. Demro practiced general dentistry for four years in Clear Lake, then decided to further her studies and returned to the University of Iowa. She graduated with a Master of Science (MS) degree and a Certificate in Orthodontics in 1990.
Dr. Demros experience as a general dentist, prior to her orthodontic training, gives her exceptional insight into dentition and complex oral health conditions. This allows her to design orthodontic treatment that goes beyond aesthetics, ensuring a lasting improvement in a patients bite, jaw function, and dental health.
After completing her Masters degree and orthodontics certificate, Dr. Demro returned to the area and established her orthodontic practice in Mason City; in 1998 she established her own private practice. In the ensuing years, Dr. Demro has developed and maintained three satellite offices, in Clear Lake, Forest City, and Hampton, in order to best serve the greater North Iowa region.
Dr. Demro is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. She is also a Fellow in the World Federation of Orthodontists and is board eligible. Additionally, she is a board member and past-President of the Iowa Society of Orthodontists.
Through these organizations, Dr. Demro has access to the latest research and advancements in the orthodontic specialty. Staying abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies ensures each of her patients receives optimal treatment and finishes with the best results.
In addition to her orthodontic practice, Dr. Demro is active in numerous local organizations and is a certified yoga instructor, teaching class twice a week. She and her husband enjoy both traveling and relaxing at home. While she tends to be busy, Dr. Demro strives to make time for her favorite pastimes: biking, exercising, and reading.

My favorite part of working at North Iowa Orthodontics is watching patients progress through treatment and achieving their perfect smiles. Outside of work I love anything crafty, especially sewing. I love traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
I am Dr. Demros Scheduling Coordinator. I have been a member of her team since May of 2017, but I have known Dr. Demro and my teammates for a lot longer. Being a former patient of Dr. Demro, I find it rewarding to see her shaping our patients smiles!
I have worked for North Iowa Orthodontics since May 2020, but have known Dr. Demro for many years as I am a former patient. I enjoy getting to know our patients and seeing their smiling faces. Outside of work I am a mom of three, a baseball fan, and a music lover. I feel very fortunate to work for NIO and this amazing team!
I have worked in orthodontics since 1973 and with Dr. Demro since 1990. My job entails fabrication of all retainers and final design of study models for each case. I enjoy the orthodontic environment, especially seeing the final result and the smile on a patients face when they see what theyve accomplished!
I work for Dr. Demro as one of her Registered Dental Assistants. I really enjoy being part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, my boyfriend, and my furbabies!

From visit to visit, we see each patient change as they feel more comfortable with their appearance, and how that change improves their self-esteem. People who started treatment feeling self-conscious and hiding their teeth start making eye-contact, engaging with us and other patients, and they begin to smile: a bit shyly, at first, then more and more often and without hesitation.

The workers at North Iowa Orthodontist are very kind and considerate. They always offer to adjust the wire for my braces if it is poking me, and they have a wide variety of colors for my braces so I can have the best experience. They gave me excellent instructions to help take care of my braces and keep my teeth heathy. Overall, I'm glad that I go to North Iowa Orthodontist!

Being new to Clear Lake (we moved from out of state only a week ago), we were in a bind when our son's power chain broke just three weeks prior to him finally getting his braces removed back out east. North Iowa Orthodontics got him in the same day we called and had the problem fixed in minutes. We are so grateful to them, their care, and their speedy response.

I gave demro orthodontics a 5 star because when a person walks in there they feel warm a welcome. They care about your teeth and the staff takes really good care of your love ones. As soon as the first time they look at your teeth you are already part of their family . I'll tell you a little story when I walked in there 2 years ago I was scared and nervous but then when they checked my teeth out and they say I need braces I was calm knowing I was in good hands. I just got my braces off 1/28/2021 after that I looked in the mirror and saw my teeth was straight not crooked anymore I was in tears. I recommend friends and family to anyone who wants there teeth fixed and warm welcome from a loving staff care about you as soon as you walk in the door. P.S After all demro orthodontics did for me there are part of my family now and forever. I THANK YOU.

The girls in the office are delightful! Just listening to them have fun and chit chat and laugh while waiting for my sons appointments to be over brightened my day. DemrI'd offices are lighthearted and down to earth while also offering superior service. The appointment reminders and communication from both office locations is so wonderful for busy parents, and if you need to reschedule there's no guilt trip or pressure, just real people who understand families have crazy lives sometimes. At first I was skeptical, but I enjoyed every interaction and always felt confident about the process and treatment. My teenaged son also loved all the staff and enjoyed light, easy conversations and a comfortable environment at his appointments. Mason City, and Clear Lake offices, you ladies, are delightful!

Judy and her staff have done an amazing job with my daughter's, they have made what I thought would be an impossible feat for a single mother to get done by having not 1 but 2 of my daughters in braces and having beautiful smiles to be proud of ! I will never be able to thank Judy and her staff enough what you do is truly life changing, and making it so basically anyone can afford this is amazing!! As I said before thank you will never be enough for the amazing smiles you have put on my girls faces! I would and have recommended you guys over and over again! Dr. Denro Orthodontics will not let you down! You will be happy with the results...the time in braces is worth it! Friendly, fun staff adds a lot of positive to the experience and offer empathy when you you need it some months! I would go here again 10 out of 10 times! Thank you for improving my life!!
