My goal is to provide high-quality dental care and educate my patients on the value of a healthy smile. I want to ensure each patient understands how their oral health impacts not only their self-confidence but also their overall health.
Dr. Mauro is committed to continuing education and advanced training. He completes over 80 hours of continuing dental education annually and has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistryan honor achieved by fewer than 5% of dentists nationwide.
Dr. Mauro married his wife, Melissa, in 2003, and they have been blessed with five amazing daughters. They are excited to raise their children in the North Hills with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins nearby.
Dr. Stein is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She is committed to continuing education in order to provide her patients with the latest state-of-the-art technology, techniques, and treatments in dentistry.
Dr. Stein was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and she recently returned to her hometown to join North Hills Family Dental after completing a General Practice Residency in Brooklyn, New York. When she isnt practicing dentistry, Dr. Stein enjoys traveling, swimming, and playing tennis.
While in dental school, Dr. Barton received many achievements, including Deans List, recipient of the Addison H. Gibson Foundation Health Profession Award and the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics from the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Barton practiced endodontics in Westchester, New York for 15 years before moving back home to Pittsburgh to raise his children around friends and family in beautiful Pittsburgh.Out of the office he enjoys traveling, weight training, skiing, and SCUBA.
I truly aim to make a difference in my patients lives. I have found it rewarding to work with special needs and medically compromised patients over the last 13 years of my career. I have heard all too often of patients being rejected by dental providers due to a disability or medical condition. It has been my mission in dentistry to break this cycle through education.
Dr. Klein completed a general practice residency program at UCLA dental health hospitals. She has over 13 years of experience in training special needs patients in clinic and operating room settings. She has worked in multiple hospitals and outpatient surgery centers and has run an operating room for the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. She was previously licensed for IV conscious sedation.
Dr. Klein is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society. She is a former member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Special Care Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Klein spends every minute with her two young girls, husband, and dog. She loves to dance, do yoga, hike, spin, and hang out with friends in her free time. Her hobbies include reading non-dental books and making jewelry.

I had a very good experience tonight at North Hills Family Dental. Dr. Stein and her dental assistant filled/fixed my tooth and did a great job. They were both very kind and they explained to me what they were doing throughout the process. Also, Dr. Stein reviewed my options for further dental care. I will be going back soon.

Great team. Excellent service and very clean and organized office. My hygienist Margo gave me a great cleaning today. On top of that, she took the time to book out a few appointments for me because my schedule is very tight. Would highly recommend

What a wonderful practice. Margo was my hygentist and she was fabulous. Friendly, very thorough and explained everything perfectly. Dr. Klein was my dentist and was also friendly and explained my issues thoroughly. I am new to the area and so glad I found them.

My cleaning was good. Technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I was upset with one thing, I waited extra month to get in so I could get both a teeth cleaning and some fillings done same visit. I don't like going to dentist multiple times if I can get everything done in a single visit. I'm a caretaker for my wife she is recovering from a brain tumor. I was very pleased with my cleaning and visiting with dentist.

Very pleased with Zoom Whitening. The technician was able to get my teeth to the brightest white possible. She was also very careful to protect my gums and made sure I was doing fine throughout the entire process.

The staff, front to back, are so professional and friendly! The office is very clean and up to date. And I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen by their staff. Definitely recommend this place!

Always pleased with the treatment from everyone at NHFD. The receptionists are pleasant and helpful. Hannah is very friendly, professional and nice. Puts me completely at ease. The same is true with Dr. Mauro. No one enjoys a visit to dentist office but this staff makes it bearable.

They were on time and very efficient! I had a root canal and it did not hurt a bit. I would recommend then for any endontic work.

Horrible experience and complete lack of communication. I will not refer people to this practice. If they reschedule your appointment they will push you out almost a month. I now have to get a refund for a service that I paid for but they never completed the work.
