Dr. Daniel Barry received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University and his general dentistry residency certificates from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Dental School. He earned his Master of Dental Science and orthodontic specialty certificate at the University of Pittsburgh.
Continuing education is very important in Dr. Barrys career. He completes many continuing education topics every year and has authored and co-authored several articles in scientific journals. He is a board-certified orthodontic specialist, recognized by the American Board of Orthodontics, which qualifies him to treat even the most difficult orthodontic cases at the highest standard.
My father Dr. Daniel Barry started this practice more than 20 years ago, and I am so grateful to be continuing his good work in our community. My patients are a never-ending source of excitement. It is especially rewarding to have the children of my fathers former patients come in, as they are the second generation of Tallahassee families who trust our practice with their smiles. Dr. Michael Barry is a board-eligible orthodontic specialist. He was raised in Tallahassee and attended North Florida Christian Elementary, Holy Comforter Middle School, and Lawton Chiles High School. He received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Barry earned his orthodontic specialty certificate at Tufts University in Boston. He has always planned on returning to serve his community after completing his training.
Continuing education is also very important to him. He completes continuing education classes every year. He has had additional training in orthodontics and has training in modern orthodontic techniques, including Invisalign.

I joined the team at North Florida Orthodontic Specialists in 2013 andam responsible for overseeing all aspects of the office. I share the same goal of Dr. Barry and the rest of our team: to help patients be happy with their smile and teeth. There is nothing better than seeing how our patients smiles transformand seeing them happy with the end result.
I have a ten-year-old son and a two-year-old female dog named Ava. My life revolves around my son, work, and our dog. We are full of energy and love the beach, eating frozen yogurt at Nuberri, and going to theme parks.
I am excited to join North Florida Orthodontic Specialists. After 15 years of working in veterinary medicine, I am beyond grateful that Dr. Barry gave me this opportunity to learn something fun and new. Im the one who gets to greet each patient with a smile while checking them in and out, updating records, and providing excellent customer care. My favorite part of my job is learning new things, and seeing patients so excited to come in and out of our office. Their smiles brighten my day!
I recently moved to Tallahassee from South Florida with my wonderful and extremely supportive husband and best friend, Corey. Together we spend most of our time exploring the outdoors. We love spending time on the beach, at the lake, and on the river with friends and family:snorkeling, fishing, four-wheeling, kayaking, and traveling to new places. I have three kitties at homeFrankie, Yankee, and Buttersand a silly little bunny named Theodore Cottontail. My other hobbies include baking, cake decorating, and all kinds of crafting.
I have been working at our front office since 1996, where Ive been happily checking patients out, answering the phones, taking payments, and answering general questions. I really enjoy building friendships with our patients and their families, and love catching up with them during their visits. Dr. Barry is so caring with our patients and interacts with them so well. We all work together and help each other out, just like family!
I live in Wakulla County, where I have resided for 23 years. I am the mother of three wonderful adult children as well as a son-in-law and daughter-in-law. I am also Nana to six beautiful grandchildren. I stay busy with work, family, and friends, as well as caring for my 91-year-old mother. Outside of family and friends, I enjoy going to the beach, watching movies, and planting flowers.
I started working in the dental field in 1992 after earning my AA in dental assisting, and I also hold a BA in business and teaching. I have been assisting Dr. Barry with placement of braces, all adjustments, X-rays, and retainers since joining the practice in 2013. My favorite part of my job is seeing patients progress and being happy when they are finished with their braces. Everyone in this office shares the goal to help patients smile.
I have been married for 22 years and have two children. Both of my girls are grown and are now in the Army. The kids have two cats that are loved and spoiled, and are living with us because the kids are always moving. I love to travel and go to the beach as much as possible. On my spare time or days off, I try to substitute at elementary schools or tutor elementary children who are struggling in school.
I joined Dr. Barry in 1995. In addition to offering patient care during visits, I am our clinical supervisor. I ensure our clinic runs smoothly and that everything works right so we can concentrate on making patients smile! I enjoy working in orthodontics because I am able to build a relationship with each patient. When their transformation at the end is complete, its a great feeling to see and share in their excitement!
I became a part of North Florida Orthodontic Specialists in 2012, and broughtwith me more than eight years of experience in general dentistry and orthodontics. I am originally from Tallahassee and live here with my husband and our two sons. The boys like playing soccer and football, and we all enjoy fishing together as a family. We also have a growing farm teeming with goats, chickens, and ducks!

The lady who answer's the phones for appointments never answer's when i call. Always sends me to the voice machine but thats okay i called another Orthodontist & they answered right away, also made me a appointment for this week.

Firstly, I will start by saying that Dr.Barry is very nice and his assistants in back are as well, but since I've had my teeth straightened in 2019 to now there has been several front office turn over and somehow the experience has gone from bad to worse. I've referred so many friends, never could I get a referral gift card. I have my son seeing Dr.Barry and now I'm having to wait to receive a credit back on my account for over payment. Going forward I will no longer refer this office to anyone. It's just too much to deal with.

Called to advise I would not be there for my Friday appointment on Wednesday, Alicia received my message, they called me on Friday to see where I was, I advised I canceled my appointment on Wednesday and they said I would be charged a $35 NO SHOW fee. Then was rude and asked if I wanted to reschedule my appointment? ... I canceled my appointment 2 days prior for RECORDS and you're telling me I'm going to be charged a $35 NO SHOW fee then ask if I'd like to spend $5,000 with your practice?? Why would I want to spend my money with you if 48 hours is not an acceptable timeframe to cancel a RECORDS appointment? When I called back to speak with the office manager they said she would not be in until Monday and Riley refused to give me the name of the person who so RUDELY called me about my appointment because she knew I planned on speaking with the office manager regarding this. I would recommend going with another office if you want to ensure your care is handled with respect.

Do not get Invisalign here I didn't get braces from this practice, maybe if I did it would be different. I got braces when I was 15, religious wore my retainers until 27 and then decided to get Invisalign because of cosmetic wants. I got Invisalign in 2017, I was supposed to have the "light" version with trays for 14 months: I had them for over two years because I wasn't happy. Not saying the staff here isn't great, because they were very sweet but I came in wanting straight teeth, I left with less than optimal results. I had over 13+ attachments (the most I've ever heard/see online) I had to have multiple teeth "shaved" on the sides to fit my mouth (again, I had braces before why is this a thing?!) when they removed the attachments I had aching tooth sensitivity for MONTHS and still do-two years later! Again, Dr. Barry told me it's not just him who decided the results, but I told him I wanted perfectly straight teeth, and the two teeth in question never got straightened so what gives. I extended the trays for the longest they would go, and again didn't get the results I wanted. I didn't get braces here, maybe that would've been different but if you want Invisalign, good luck. Not the resulted I wanted.

I've had my braces on for about a year now . I've only received treatment from Dr. Barry (the son). He is truly genuine and professional and so far, my experience has been pleasurable. I highly recommend receiving treatment from him;You will not regret it.

Mary, the older lady that sets appointments went out her way to be rude for no reason! She told me that the doctor required that the patient had to have been seen my a dentist within the last yr & that was a requirement but hello it's COVID everyone should be quarantining!! She acted like she didn't know my number when she took down my son's information blaming it on not having caller ID when she's the one that called me back Bottom Line, she said they were short staffed & she took her frustration out on potential customer, this is a case of BUYER BEWARE

Walking in the receptionist, La'Bria, knew my name upon arrival. Like she was there only for me! Best customer service from La'Bria. Summer did my X-rays and applied my braces. She is a sweet heart! My son insisted I needed his baby yoda to keep me brave. Summer went up and beyond to help me take pictures with my son's baby yoda to show he helped me stay calm. Sydney, the office manager, explained what my dental insurance covered and what my out of pocket was. I have always wanted braces but never thought I could afford them. I couldnt say enough good things about Sydney from beginning to end of my visit. She was with me every step of the way. Such great service! She even brought wax to my job, for I couldnt get away. Then to my surprise Dr.Barry called me the next at day after placing my braces to check on me. Outstanding service!

I started treatment with Dr. Barry in July of 2018 and there hasn't been a time between then and now that I was not satisfied with my visit. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about my case plan. The wait time is remarkable. The time set for you was always for you. I have Dr. Barry my trust and he delivered helping me to gain my confidence back. I'm now in my retainers and can't stay out of a mirror or camera

Dr. Berry is great, had a issue with billing and the office manager and Dr. Berry were able to find a solution to the problem. My son doesn't have any issues with his braces and is well taken care of by the team at this office. Definitely will use this office for future orthodontic care.

I got my braces off 10/27/2020 and informed Dr.Berry i was not happy with the results. I was told by Dr.Berry he would re do my braces. I had an appointment scheduled in the system for November. Dr. Berry waits until 10/28/2020 to have his office manager call and tell me i was not getting another treatment. The office manager was very rude and aggressive. I paid $3000 for my treatment and was treated like trash. I would not suggest anybody to go to this practice. All in all bad business.
