Dr. Marie Johnson grew up in southern Maine, where her father and grandfather were dentists. She went to St. Marys College of Maryland and graduated cum laude with a BA in biology after spending time both in the Gambia, West Africa and Australia during her studies. She attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Marie moved to Seattle to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Washington. She worked in private practice in the Baltimore area as well as in the Sultanate of Oman on the Arabian Peninsula. Upon returning to Maryland, she divided her time between working in private practice and teaching as a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland. Most recently, she represented the University of Maryland in Kigali, Rwanda, as a clinical faculty member of the University of Rwanda, School of Dentistry and as a US faculty member of the Human Resources for Health Rwanda program.
Dr. Marie is currentlya member of the American Dental Association (ADA), a delegate to the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), House of Delegates, Treasurer of the Harford-Cecil DentalSociety,member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Her background has enabled her to keep up with the latest research and the newest techniques so she can offer the best and most conservative treatment options.
Dr. Joseph Gwiazdowskiattended LaSalle University and was a member of the AED premedical honor society. He attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1977. After graduation he served as a dental officer inthe United StatesAir Force,first atHoward Air Force Base inPanama and then atAndrews Air Force Base,locatedjustoutside ofWashington D.C. He moved to North East, MD in 1981 and has been practicing there since.
Dr. Joe is currentlya member of the American Dental Association (ADA),a delegate of the Maryland State Dental Societyanda formerpresident of the Harford-Cecil DentalSociety. He is also a member of the Academy of GP Orthodontics.
