Dr. Christopher Henninger joined North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Henninger is a well-trained general dentist who joins Dr. Huenergardt in providing the highest level of care to our patients.
Once he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry, he began his dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. During dental school he was awarded a scholarship from the United States Navy and he agreed to serve as a Dental Officer for three years. While in dental school, he developed a passion for treating underserved people through an organization called Dental Community Fellowship. Through DCF he traveled to more than twelve countries on dental mission trips.
After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Henninger completed a one year hospital-based residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton that focused on Dental Anesthesia, oral surgery, and providing complex dental treatment to patients with complex medical histories. Much of this training was dedicated to treating pre-cooperative children and persons with special needs in the hospital operating room setting.
Dr. Henninger joins us with a wealth of dental experience. He has full hospital privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and Tri-City Medical Center. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Henninger is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is one of only five percent of restorative dentists certified by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology to provide IV sedation.
Dr. Henningers professional passions include CAD/CAM dentistry utilizing digital impression techniques, dental anesthesia, dental implant therapy, and sleep apnea treatment. Dr. Henninger lives in Carlsbad with his wife, Camille and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys many outdoor activities including running, biking, and surfing.
Dr. Craig Huenergardt received his D.D.S. from Loma Linda University in 1986 and prior to that received his B.S. in dental hygiene from Loma Linda University in 1982. Because of the education he received, our San Diego dentist understands the importance of complete dental care which includes family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Huenergardt belongs to numerous cosmetic and implant study clubs and has always stayed on the forefront of the latest advances in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He has always exceeded the requirement for dental continuing education. He is a member of the San Diego County Society, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

After many dental consultations I chose North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry for all the dental work I needed. I really appreciated how Dr. Henninger talked to me and explained everything. He was very down to earth and spent a fair amount of time answering my questions. He was so upbeat that I left our first meeting feeling very positive about the plan for treatment. Katie the hygienist was super caring and helpful also. I am about 1/2 way into my treatment, which included extractions and 12 implants. I had IV sedation which was awesome! Did not feel one extraction or implant. I was sore after, but not really any serious pain. My fears were a hundred times worse than the surgery. Dr. Henninger is an excellent surgeon. Their pricing fees are competitive and fair, and I really trust this dental group. I will update more at the end of my treatment.

Had a much overdue appointment for teeth cleaning and X-ray's with Anna Jo at North County cosmetic Implant and Dentistry yesterday. I was more than impressed with the quality and level of service that Anna Jo provided, and was especially impressed with her bright and charming personality. For anyone looking for a high level of care and customer service, North County Cosmetic Implant and Dentistry is highly recommended.

Had a bad experience with billing, apparently due to a staff absence. The "owner's" response below is misleading. He mentions sending me a "statement". They sent me a BILL. When I called the practice, I was told that I must pay it.

Looking for a change? It's time to visit North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry! The staff is super caring and friendly. The office is absolutely beautiful and pristine with big comfortable chairs. They have state of the art equipment and technology. I'm in my 50's and have been to many dental appointments. This office is different in so many ways. Dr. Henninger and his team of professionals actually take time to make patients aware of possible issues before they get out of hand. For instance, when I started going here, I learned I had only been flossing one side of each tooth. Being right handed, I was making the common mistake of only flossing one side. They showed me how to floss correctly to avoid the "in-between cavities" that have plagued me my whole life! No other dentist has ever explained that. The others seemed to just treat the issue and send me on the way until the next time. Not here. They preform a quick overall health screening to determine your risk for other concerns such as Sleep Apnea - which I learned is easily treatable without the use of a noisy, expensive and high maintenance CPap machine. They offer solutions and suggestions without any sales pressure. They truly care about you! They also recognize that your time and comfort are valued commodities. Example: Nobody has time for a multi-visit crown. A lengthy appointment and you leave with a temporary for a couple of weeks just to go back for another visit all over again?! Not here! At North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, crowns are made on the spot and finished in a single visit. Check them out. You'll be glad you did!

I would give the office a five but we had one minor speed bump in the beginning which was no fault of the office but was resolved after speaking with my insurance company and staff. I have to say a 4 is almost perfect! The staff is very friendly and Dr. Henniger was very professional and informative about my dental treatment plan. I'm looking forward to coming soon to get my dental work and implant placement. I would recommend this office because everyone seems to enjoy the patient's , they call you back right away and your in and out of the chair in no time! I will be bringing my family once we get through this pandemic or try to come in sooner once I figure out my schedule. The office is really nice, clean , very safe and following precautions which makes it extremely reassuring for me to be able to bring my kids.

Dr. Henninger was terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative... I immediately felt at ease - and felt confident in my receiving expert medical care. Staff was amazing, too. Walked away, very impressed with the overall experience. They definitely took care of my son Joseph. I personally work with him at the hospital and is the best at what he does! HIGHLY recommend!!

Dr. H provides terrible customer service along with his staff. Do not go to this dentist unless you are willing to overpay for unnecessary procedures and receive poor treatment after you commit to pay for treatment.
