No stranger to Arizona, Dr. Mack moved here in 1977, completed school at A.S.U. and the University of Colorado School of Dentistry with honors and hospital residency training at the Denver V.A. Administration in 1988.
Comfortable with a wide range of specialty work, Dr. Mack routinely performs smile-makeovers, complex restorations, surgical techniques, including implants, bone & tissue grafting, wisdom teeth and placement of the most cosmetic materials the industry has available.
Dr. Mack serves on the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners subcommittee of sedation and is an evaluator for the Dental Board. You may have seen him on Channel 3 News interviews regarding dental advancements.
Born and raised in Brazil, Dr. Souza graduated from the University of Fortaleza and practiced as a dentist and oral surgeon in Brazil for many years. After making the decision to move to the US he attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. before settling in wonderful Arizona. Dr. Souza has two teenage children and enjoys family and sports activities with the family as well as some travel. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish as well as English and works very hard to listen to each patient and by creating a partnership with them to create and maintain lifelong health.
I am an Arizona native, attending Scottsdale High School and then Arizona State University and Western International University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters degree in Innovative Leadership.
I am married with 2 daughters, 1 horse, 1 cockatiel, a sulcata tortoise and 4 chickens. I am a part of the praise team for Calvary Community Church and also sing Soprano for Sound of the Southwest Singers.
I was born into an Air Force/ Musical family allowing for travel overseas and throughout the U.S. My grandfather, Glen Campbell and my mother Debbie Campbell have been in the music business which has allowed me to meet some amazing performers and attend many shows.
Jennifer, our administrator, and I have worked together in the past and when she came to North Canyon she immediately contacted me to join the team. I am very blessed and absolutely love working with this team.
I have two children, a daughter and son, as well as an adorable 1 year old granddaughter. I am a newlywed and enjoy spending time with my husband Vinny and family going to dinner, movies, and comedy shows etc.
I have been a part of the team here for over 13 years and have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I was a dental assistant right out of high school and worked as an assistant until 1995 when I graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I moved to Arizona in 1996 from Kansas where I was born and raised. I love to spend time at the lake boating and camping with my husband, kids and friends. We also enjoy motorcycle rides, golfing and travel.
I was born and raised right here in Arizona, attending Moon Valley High School and then getting my Associate of Applied Science with honors in Dental Assisting in 1997. I received my hygiene degree in 2001. My goal as a hygienist is to provide our patients with different options to maintain or achieve optimal oral hygiene and overall oral health.
I live in Desert Hills with my husband and son on a small farm, ranging from a mini pig (Ava Gabor) to our draft horse (Sampson). I love hanging out with the animals, horseback riding and watching my son play baseball.
I am native Arizonan and received my Bachelors of Science in Public Health Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University after obtaining my licensure from Phoenix College.As a dedicated oral disease prevention specialist, I enjoy providing dental hygiene therapy and education to our patients.I am gentle and caring in my approach and work very hard to make each visit pleasant.My passion for improving the health of my patients is palpable and the most often expressed compliment is how thorough the therapies and explanations are that I have provided.I truly love my career as a dental hygienist and will happily answer any questions or concerns you may have during your visit. In my spare time I love to go hiking, take zumba classes and hanging out with my three dachshunds.

am so happy I found this dentist office today!!!! I have never been this happy about a dentist office before, nor have I ever even been excited to go to the dentist (because who is) but I am beyond pleased with the service and treatment I received today!!! Dr. Souza is hands down the best dentist I've ever talked to. He communicates everything so well and makes you feel so comfortable. I was able to get everything done today and the fact that they were able to squeeze me in as a last minute, was awesome. I know that it can be tough to do and I appreciate it so so much! Another thing that stood out to me was Dr. Souza called me the same day in the evening to just make sure everything was feeling ok after the procedure. I have NEVER had a dentist do that before in my whole 26 years of being alive. It definitely made me feel like he truly cares about his patients. I can't wait to return. And thank you Matt and Danielle for taking me and doing my cleaning/X-rays! You both rock!

I was a patient there for around 15 years but about 5 years ago there was a change in the front office. Since then I've had a couple issues with them not canceling my appointments even though they apologized and said they'd remove the extra fees. Recently they were so booked up they asked me to change my appointment and because I had to work they changed me a no show fee of 100$!! I didn't even get my usual text appointment reminders of they day they said I had the appointment...I told them I'm going to a new dentist and they mailed me a bill of 200$!!

I'm 64 years old and I have never been to a better dentist- Dr Thomas mack one of the best experiences I've ever had in my entire life! There a good group of family Christian people and I just really LOVE him so MUCH! I TRUST them with all of my HEART and everything that they do!!!

Exceptional Christian business. Very professional, Staff is very friendly and exceptional at there Job. Set up a payment plan with me to make sure my health was taken care of. The Drs go above and beyond to explain procedures. They also are gentle with work performed and make sure there is as little of pain as possible. Personally i had no pain and can say thats a first for me ever having dental work. I also should mention Dr Mack prayed with me before procedures and as a Christian I really appreciate that.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist. Those days are gone. Dr. Mack and the entire staff always treat my fear with respect and make dental care very doable. So glad they were recommended by our neighbor.

I moved from Maryland and needed to find a new dentist. I was happy to be referred to North Canyon Dentistry. Jennifer, the reception was very helpful with my insurance. The X-ray technician was very friendly & competent, the dental hygienist extremely knowledgeable and the facility state of the art as well as clean & beautiful. Dr Mack was very friendly & professional.

North Canyon Dentistry is totally patient oriented. Dr. Mack and all of his staff are well trained professionals, kind, and dedicated to patient comfort. They have all of the updated equipment to treat patients and do so in a friendly, comfortable, efficient manner. My mother never told me that I would like going to the Dentist. July 2020 Addition: I recently returned to North Canyon Dentistry for some additional work. As always, I'm impressed and pleased with the quality of care and the skill of Dr. Mack. With everything that is going on, I was also very impressed by the safety precautions that have been put in place. I was nervous about seeing a dentist with the pandemic going on. Looking at the social media for the office, there were a number of posts about changes being made to air filtration and sanitation. They were all in place while I was there and set me at ease. Radios communicate traffic in the hallways so that people aren't near each other. Each room is isolated. Multiple levels of air filtration are running. The staff has also upper their game with protective equipment. I had fractured a tooth and was nervous that it would need to be pulled. I've been a patient for 25 years and Dr. Mack has never let me down. In my case, he was able to find a way to address the crack, repair some of the damage, and close the work with a crown instead of needing an extraction/implant. He is really skilled and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. I chose to have the crown created in the office so that it was a single visit. Serena did the modeling, detailing, and creation of the crown. She got it basically perfect immediately and it required very little adjusting to have the perfect fit. I had only heard them speak of the damaged tooth by it's number. When everything was done, I saw myself in the mirror and had to question which one was repaired. I literally looked like when I had walked in. The crown fits great and after a few days of healing, I have no pain or irritation. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have bad teeth and hate going to the dentist as there's always something new to fix. Dr. Mack has kept me coming back for decades with his constant use of new technology, fun and awesome patient interaction, and most importantly, the skill which he displays when fixing my dental problems. Original: I've been going to North Canyon Dentistry since 1996 and cannot say enough good things about everyone there. The office is beautiful and the staff is always incredibly friendly. Dr. Mack is a phenomenal dentist and the only one that I will trust to perform any dental work on me. I frequently refer him to friends and co workers, all of whom have shared the same level of great experience.

I have been to Dr. Mack a few times and each time I have had a warm welcome by the front office. His office staff is experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. Dr. Mack explains his processes and procedures in a manner I understand. He's extremely patient and I never feel rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Mack!

Do you fear going to the dentist? That can be a thing of the past with Dr. Mack as your dentist. Do you want the most up-to-date dental methods and procedures? Dr. Mack has them and practices them. Do you want a dentist who telephones you to check up on you after a procedure? Dr. Mack does that! What about ease of scheduling, efficient office staff in front and in back, billing questions promptly answered and resolved? Dawn and Glenda in front and Carla and all the others in back are excellent. We have been clients of Dr. Mack since 2008 and are grateful for a dentist of his caliber.
