Dr. Stimmler fit me into his schedule as an emergency, which was awesome. I didnt feel a thing when he was working! The procedure really didnt last that long, and once the numbness wore off the pain was gone!

I went to see Dr. Stimmler for a 2nd opinion, got xrays, and got a cleaning, then we sat down to discuss the cavities. He explained that they were the start of cavities and that if I take really good care of my teeth.

While in dental school, Dr. Stimmler was involved in outreach organizations providing free dental treatment for underprivileged youth both in his local community, as well as throughout Californias Central Valley and in other countries such as Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Mexico. He was also part of a group of students who started a club to discuss professionalism and ethics in dentistry a club that eventually found its way into dental schools nationwide.

During his residency at Montefiore, Dr. Stimmler was able to further refine his knowledge of cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, and implant dentistry. He has also retained a desire for continuing education, always working to ensure that his practice is on the cutting edge of modern and cosmetic dentistry.

A cosmetic dentist is a licensed dentist who is committed to achieving a beautiful outcome, regardless of the treatment being performed. Dr. Stimmler and many cosmetic dentists have completed training specifically in aesthetic procedures to better understand the latest guidelines for safety and optimal results. Enhancing the appearance of your smile should not mean having to sacrifice function, and it is our goal to provide dental care that maximizes the presentation and the health of your smile.

North Brooklyn Dental Care is a practice that focuses on conservative treatment and biomimetic dentistry. This type of dentistry results in stronger teeth, less cutting away of the teeth, and is often less expensive than traditional treatments. It also uses the newest materials to more closely mimic the natural tooth structure, so that teeth look more natural and results are longer lasting. Additionally, Dr. Stimmler offers Digital Smile Design, an innovative approach to cosmetic dentistry that uses a combination of high-definition imaging technology and advanced modeling techniques to enhance each stage of many dental procedures.

Dr. Stimmler was born and raised in Southern California, one of five kids. Most of his youth was spent outdoors, resulting in his continued passion for surfing and snowboarding. After graduating dental school, Dr. Stimmler packed up a U-Haul truck and drove across the country to New York City, eventually finding a home in Greenpoint, where he and his wife have lived for the past 7 years.

Dedicated to helping patients of all backgrounds achieve the smile of their dreams, Dr. Stimmler is a participating member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistrys Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program. This charitable foundation helps men and women who have experienced dental injuries due to domestic and/or sexual violence restore their smiles. GBAS recipients are selected to receive restorative dental treatment from extensively trained dentists like Dr. Stimmler, who have the skill to provide exceptional results. The GBAS organization has assisted many individuals in regaining the confidence to smile and, just as importantly, supported their efforts to lead healthier and happier lives.

One of the most important dental decisions you can make is selecting your dentist. One way to determine which one is right for you is to ask a lot of questions. Some of the questions we recommend include:

Take a look at your prospective dentists CV to get an idea of where they studied dentistry and what sort of training theyve completed. This biography can also give you an idea about how much experience they have and whether they might be the right fit for your needs and goals.

Good dentists like to show off their work, as do happy patients with beautiful smiles. Ask if the dentist has a gallery of dental before-and-after photos that you can search through, particularly with cases that feature patients who received the same type of procedure you are considering.

Advances in dentistry have made the field much safer and more comfortable for patients. Digital X-rays, Digital Smile Design, and Invisalign are just a few examples of innovative options that are now available. Talk to your dentist to find out what modern treatments and devices they use to keep your mouth clean and healthy.

Find out from current and previous patients what you can expect from treatment at your prospective dentists office. Many practice websites offer a page of reviews and testimonials that can give you a clear view of what can be achieved at a particular practice.

Darlene is the only dental hygenist I've gone to in many years. She is THE best, as well as being friendly and relaxed. Book her early, shes popular! Dr Stimmler and dr sasiesta are the two dentists I've had work done with and they are also great. Its a very clean place, too. Ill stick with the positives here. The few negatives are just nitpicky...waiting room couches literally a foot off the floor not comfy for older or tall people like me is one negative. But to me its all about who is doing the work in your mouth, and theyre all first rate folks, and friendly

Been going here for two years but today is my last visit. I was a bit late to my appointment and think that upset the hygienist. She dug into my gums more than I've ever experienced. The amount of blood I had in my mouth after the cleaning was SHOCKING. She was being so aggressive I had to ask her if she was upset with me. Even the suction device was covered in my blood. Not my first issue I've had with this spot.

Shiesty like most dentists - try to up-sell you on everything that's not covered by insurance; show you one bill, then after "negotiating" with your insurance hit you with a surprise bill two months after the fact. Name of the game, right? I wouldn't have bothered writing this review but they hit me with an appointment cancellation fee after I told them i wouldn't be returning to them. Their system automatically booked an appointment for me, after I contacted them to cancel it, telling them I wont be returning to them, they hit me with an appointment cancellation fee. That's just petty. They must really be hurting - hope you all make it through!

Lovely staff. I received a bill I wasn't expecting and Shellon looked into it for me. My insurance had decided not to cover a set of bitewings, but she waived the charge for me. Thank you again Shellon!

UPDATE: About an hour after this review I receive a call from someone at reception who yelled at me and called me out on the below statement saying they're short-staffed (apparently not to spend time on the phone mistreating patients). The balance I received is from a service that was performed 6 months ago but I only receive an invoice now, conveniently after the fiscal year has ended and I have no claim with my insurance. This person was extremely disrespectful, said she had nothing to do with it as she didn't work for this clinic. Me and my husband absolutely love doctor Valentina, the team of hygienists is also wonderful but sadly my experience with the reception and billing department has been so terrible I don't want to come to this clinic anymore. I had a cleaning appointment scheduled 6 months in advance, 3 days before the appointment I receive a text saying the office would be closed the day of my cleaning and to respond to that text to reschedule. I sent 2 messages to that number with no response or call back. About 2 weeks later I randomly receive both a text and an email stating I suddenly had a balance due but with no details about the service it was associated to. I called the office 3 times, again no answer. The operator was extremely nice and even offered to reschedule for me but she couldn't do anything about the charge. It's truly a shame that this clinic gets to have brilliant and caring doctors but a such terrible front desk and scheduling staff that drive patients away for good.

Very rude and disorganized front desk staff can't keep up with appointments and is not trained to handle customers.

Because of an early childhood illness, and a freak sports accident when I was 10, I have had to have countless dental procedures done despite only being in my early 30's. Throughout my life I have lived around the country, and been lucky enough to see top dentists in the cities where I have resided. Dr. Neymark from North Brooklyn dental is on the top of my list. After seeking a new dentist, I ran into an old friend who recommended North Brooklyn Dental Care. She had lived in Greenpoint and moved to the other side of Brooklyn, and still traveled to Greenpoint to see them. Dr. Neymark is friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. She is up on the latest technology and seems to genuinely love her job. She explains things when I ask, and offers suggestions that I haven't received from other dentists -- and she does this without ever making me feel bad about my dental history. I've had crowns, cavities and cleanings with her and I couldn't recommend her more. I went for a cleaning in COVID times (last month) and it also felt very safe for those who are wondering how teeth cleanings work these days. If you call to set up an appointment and ask they will tell you more about it (or you can look on their site). Last but not least, a big shout out to the front desk staff who always deals with my insurance so I don't have to, and really advocates for their patients. They have been the best at this out of any of the dentistry practices I've ever visited. Meghan also does a great job with teeth cleanings!

I went and got cleaning today by the best hygienist I've ever went to Darlene. Well detailed and oriented office. Got well taken care by the staff from the front office to the back office. Thanks Shellon! I would give them 10 if I could! Highly recommended!

Nothing but kindness and thoroughness from the staff here! I have a lot of work getting done and it's hard for me to keep track of, but Shellon at the front desk is very sweet and broke down all my work/costs for me to understand, providing me with a level of care that is unmatched. I enjoy going to the dentist now because of the people at this practice. Thank you!

*Not a review for the dentists but on the Poor customer service experience. I finally had to cancel my appointment with the dentist* The first time I booked an appointment, I was told I had a confirmed booking, however, one day before the day they messaged saying the dentist cannot make it and re-booked me a couple of weeks down the line. When I visited for my second appointment, the reception said that they had made a mistake in the booking. While I wanted to get a general cleaning done, they booked me to a specialist for an oral exam and X-rays and I could not have my cleaning done on the same day. That's when I just decided to go for another dentist. It was disappointing because as a working professional I had two carve out time in the middle of a working day twice , to have the plans changed because of bad management on the dentist's receptionist's part.
