Dr. Nicole Byer has been with North Billerica Smiles since its opening in 2019. Originally from New Hampshire and raised by parents who are health professionals, she knew she also wanted to join the healthcare field. She gravitated towards dentistry in order to have a direct and meaningful impact on patients oral and overall health.
Dr. Byer completed her undergraduate education at Tufts University in Medford, MA and then moved to Philadelphia, PA to attend dental school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She wanted to return to New England after school and pursued a General Practice Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Through her education, she gained a wealth of experience in clinical dentistry as well as managing medically complex patients. She continues to pursue new knowledge and stays up to date on the ever-changing dental field through continuing education. Dr. Byer believes in providing quality and ethical dental care for her patients by always leading with compassion. Outside of the office, Dr. Byer enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and walking around Boston and in nature.

The best dental care/experience I've had. My cleanings are always thorough, and I leave with a brighter smile every time. The hygienists are very kind and informative on what small practices I can do to keep my teeth and gums healthier. I wish my dental insurance let me go every month!

I have been seeing Sara at North Billerica Smiles since the beginning and can't say enough great things! She always takes great care of me when I'm in the office and makes me feel comfortable throughout my cleanings. Sara is always professional and knowledgeable, providing nothing but a pleasant experience every time I see her. Sara always goes above and beyond! The office is always clean and everyone is super friendly! I highly recommend seeing Sara for your dental needs, she won't disappoint! Edit: Had another great appointment with Ms. Swift today. Loving how clean and smooth my teeth feel thanks to her care!

I find the staff and dentists at NBS to be professional and on top of their game. Additionally, they are pleasant and enjoyable to work with. The Smile plan is an excellent deal.

I have always hated going to the dentist. But having a cleaning with Sara always puts me at ease we sang sometimes we do a little dance but there's always laughter. I finally have found a dentist that I feel comfortable with.

Great experience as always - everyone is kind and friendly and very willing to accommodate patients with anxiety or other needs. They have also been super communicative and helpful via phone, email AND text, which is great because I am often working and in back to back meetings. Would definitely recommend to others.

As a first time patient searching only via google the communication was prompt and I received almost immediate scheduling for same day cosmetic work. Questionnaire for new patient info was done online which was convenient too. Pleasant staff and relaxed atmosphere couldn't be happier with the results. DL

Before coming to North Billerica Smiles I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years, other than to have a took extracted at the start of COVID that had broken... I had such bad experiences with a dentists that I thought for sure I'd have to be put under to get a cleaning when my wife got me an appointment. My wife had to come with me I was so afraid.. Every person in the office was kind, understanding and worked with me to help ease my fear. A year later I'm able to go by myself and love the feeling of clean teeth after my cleanings!

Dr. Kozlowski is a kind person and really cares for her patients. She gave me a very thorough examination and explained everything in a way that I could understand. Laura the hygienist was also excellent! I am very happy with the job the whole team did, from the time I checked in to the time I checked out.
