Vargas received her D.M.D. from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine Advanced Standing Program, Boston, Massachusetts and her D.D.S. from the prestigious Javeriana University, Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Vargas has completed both the Southeast Regional Dental Boards and the Northeast Regional Dental Boards. Dr. Vargas has completed training with CIRP (Comprehensive Implant Residency Program) and The AIE Implant Mastery Program. Dr. Vargas has also been awarded a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Vargas is a board-certified Oral Sedation Dentist.

Dr. Vargas maintains professional membership in theICOI(International Congress of Oral Implantologists),Academy of General Dentistry(AGD),the Georgia Dental Association (GDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). She attends The Hinman Dental and Excellency in Dentistry Conferences annually as well as keeping up on the latest techniques and technologies through continuing education courses.
