Ashlyn. The Backbone. The Insurance Specialist. The Wearer of Many Hats. Although, labeled Office Manager, she is much more than that. She takes care of our fiscal needs, drives the practice into the future, takes initiative, and can take on any role. She is the chameleon of North Atlanta Aesthetic Dentistry.
Shannon is our full-time hygienist and has been with our office since March 2012. Having previous experience in pediatric offices, she is gentle and thorough. She is proficient in current product, procedures, and policies. To ensure that, Shannon dedicates her time to keep furthering her education through dental courses.She takes pride in developing long-lasting relationships with her patients and their dental care.
Alexa is our senior Dental Assistant at North Atlanta Aesthetic Dentistry. She has been with our practice since 2018. Through her passion for continuing education, she remains well versed in the latest dental technology to help advise our patients on the best, most advanced options available. She will talkin depthwith patients to identify needs and have a complete understanding to be able to offer the best possible solutions.
Jaime is the other half to the Dental Assistant team. She is the smallest, but strongest of us all. She is not afraid to tackle the harder tasks. She is organized, self-sufficient, and is always taking the initiative to find ways to improve our practice and provide a better patient experience. If it is broken, Jaime will fix it.
Ashley is our part time hygienist. Over the years, she has temporarily filled in, but recently became a full-fledged member of the team. She is prompt, has a keen eye for detail, and ensures patient comfort. Ashley is confident in her skills and can win over the most nervous patients.
Mary is the face of the practice; hers is the first smile you see when you enter. While diligent with her work, she takes the time to communicate and understand a patients concerns. She isnt afraid of multitasking. While most struggle to balance many things, she handles them with ease. She is efficient and welcoming.
When she is not at the office, Mary can be found with her loved ones. She is family oriented and adores whatever time she can spend with them! In her case, her family also includes the four-legged ones.

iLase Plus is the worlds leader in dental lasers. Dental lasers can replace the more frightening dental tools like the drill in many dental procedures. Laser Dentistry promotes faster healing time and higher comfort levels for our patients.
Sometimes, your dentist needs to take a deeper look at what is going on in the structures of your mouth than traditional images or x-rays can give them. Traditionally, this was a lengthy process, but in our office, we use a special type of x-ray equipment.

Please do not go here. After a dozen "re-do's" in one year, hours of wasted time and a sincere lack of professionalism I'm embarrassed to smile... what more can I say? When presented with my final concerns Dr. Gurley told me he's done messing with it. And this is the final result that he's willing to put his name on. Please don't waste your time or trust your smile here.

Today my husband went to see Dr. Gurley for a issue with his tooth for the fist time. First let me say that my husband is a true man in the essance that he does not like going to the dentist or doctor for any reason. His tooth was giving him a huge problem so he had no choice. Once meeting Dr. Gurley and his staff he is now a patient for life. He loved that Dr. Gurley was very thorough and he actually listened to you. His staff was professional and welcoming from the time you entered his office, until the time you left. His office is immaculently clean and organized. If you are looking for a dentist that is efficient, courteous and kind look no further!

Dr Gurley has been our family dentist for many years. His office is clean and efficient. He always uses the most advanced technology. His staff is skilled, courteous and friendly. Above all, Dr. Gurley's skill and judgement is impeccable. He performs routine procedures with without delay. He is also quick to diagnose and treat more unusual problems.

Dr. Gurley fixed a broken tooth for me in 2002 and did a fantastic job. I moved away and chipped the tooth again in 2017 playing sports. Another dentist fixed the tooth and used some acrylic paste-on that was horrible, showed the broken tooth behind it and looked horrible. That's the difference between a detailed cosmetic dentist and someone winging it with half-hearted approaches. I couldn't take the way it looked anymore and the tooth chipped again in 2020. By this time, I had moved back to Alpharetta. Dr. Gurley removed the other garbage and worked his magic. The tooth looks fantastic and I am not ashamed to smile anymore. Many thanks to a super nice, humble and excellent dentist.

After a car accident I needed to have my teeth repaired or cosmetically improved. I went to my dentist in Athens with unacceptable results and was referred to a dentist in Buckhead that told me for $38,000 for 12 teeth I could look "younger". I called Dr. Shawn Gurley's office, had an appointment within a few days, was treated so well and had an amazing and productive visit with Dr. Gurley. I have my temporaries and could not be happier. Dr Gurley and his staff are amazing. He listens to your needs and delivers. Thank you to the Dr. and the entire staff.

I visited this office for the 1st time last week with both my kids based on a referral from a long time friend. I was a little nervous because I normally deeply dislike going to the dentist. I have to say that everyone was wonderful, professional and welcoming. It was truly my BEST experience in a dental office that I have ever had. Both my son and daughter were also very pleased and comfortable with their experience. Celeste was very kind to us while we were in the waiting area. Dr. Gurley was friendly, thorough and communicated clearly. He even took the time to share with me my son's 3D imaging and the wonderful ladies at the reception desk called my insurance to confirm coverage of the scans before they were taken. Our hygienist Shannon was sweet, gentle and made sure we were comfortable. I actually look forward to my next visit!

Dr. Shawn Gurley has been our family dentist for MANY years. He is by far the best dentist I've ever seen (and in my earlier years, I've seen more dentists than I can count!).
