Dr. Ghayoumi received her Doctor ofDental Surgerydegree in 1992. She continued her post graduate studies in the field ofPeriodontics, mastering her techniques in soft and hard tissue surgery as well as all surgeries related to the placement of implants such as extraction, bone grafts and sinus lift. Always expanding her educational foundation, Dr. Ghayoumi attended an extensive three year program at University of Southern California from 1999-2002, specifically around the field of study ofdental implants and periodontics.
Dr. Ghayoumi has made significant achievements above and beyond the mandatory educational requirements in her specialty and is certified by the American Board ofPeriodontologywhere she is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This achievement required her to fully and successfully complete multiplepatient treatmentcases and to present the results to her peers in the field, as well as academia.
Dr. Ghayoumi was a former part-time clinical assistant professor at University of Southern California, Post Graduate Department. In addition to teaching, she practices her field of expertise in her private practice. She also enjoys research in the area ofperiodonticsand has been published in numerous scientific journals. Most recently Dr. Ghayoumi is pioneering the field of reconstructive lip surgery. The results of these procedures are permanent and for many of her patients, life changing. This isnt temporary cosmetic injections, rather a unique and highly specialized form of surgery. Giving the patient back their smile is like watching someone come alive with hope and promise they never had before.

Silvia graduated from OC Dental Academy with a degree in dental assisting. Her primary responsibilities are assisting the doctor, teaching proper home care and surgical post-operative instructions for our patients. She is a kind and caring person who enjoys interacting with our patients. Outside of work she enjoys to spend time with her family and friends.
