Michael J. Nolan DDS is a second-generation Glenview dentist and is a lifelong resident of Glenview. Upon graduation from Loyola University School of Dentistry Dr. Mike joined his father Dr. Jerry Nolan. Combined they have practiced in Glenview for 60 years. They established a vision of optimal doctor and patient relationship.
In addition to patient relationships, Mike and his wife of 30 years, Jody (also a lifelong Glenview resident) have formed a strong community bond. Both are actively engaged in numerous activities associated with the Glenview community. They have raised four grown children, Patrick, Brehgan, Keeley, and Morgan.
Dr. Nolan has been in many volunteer organizations to serve the underprivileged. He has volunteered with Illinois State Dental Society Mission of Mercy, Dental Access Days, and for several years has gone to Haiti and Dominican Republic with the N.P.H. Mission Group. For almost 20 years Dr. Mike has traveled to Mexico for the El Nino Rey Dental Mission Group, he takes great pride that all four of his children have had the opportunity to go to one of the El Nino Rey trips with him.
Professional Activities: Dr. Mike is passionate about continuing education in the field of dentistry, which include the following: American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Pankey Institute, Spear Center of Dental Excellence, Seattle Study Club, and Elite Study Club.
Community Activities: Glenview Foundation Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Firecracker Classic Golf, Past President of the Glenview Optimist Club, and coached various sports through the years for all four children.
Personal Activities: Mike is one who can never stand still. Enjoys an array of activities: running, swimming, biking, paddle tennis, tennis, and most of all his Sunday morning walks with his wife. The two also treasure their time away visiting their children in Denver and Nashville, as well as having the flexibility to explore places to hike and trek wherever their travels will take them.
I grew up in Chillicothe Illinois which is a small town north of Peoria. My father, Tim Freund DDS was one of two dentists in town. I attended the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana and graduated in 2001 with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. Throughout college, I was able to sporadically work at my fathers office which is where I learned the value of working within the community that you lived. He was able to spend time every day taking care of his friends and family.
Upon graduating from the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry in 2005, I knew that I wanted to find a practice that looked to develop that community relationship. Fortunately I was able to find that with Dr. Nolan in Glenview. Together we have been able to create an office culture that is patient focused through customer service and improved treatment options.
After living in downtown Chicago for several years, in 2012 my wife Laura and I decided to move our then young son Charlie to Glenview. In 2013 we welcomed our daughter Lily. Through the people that we have met, we believe that we have found one of the greatest communities in the area.
I enjoy donating my time with various organizations. I have volunteered with the Illinois State Dental society Mission of Mercy, am a lead organizer for the Dental Access Days. I love spending time being involved with my kids and activities they love, including Glenview Stars and Glenview Grizzlies hockey, coaching Glenview youth baseball and Glenview Patriots teams. Enjoying piano and dance recitals. For fun; I enjoy playing paddle a few times a week, walking and biking the neighborhoods with the family, and partaking in any local activities with our friends from the community.
Marcia is celebrating her 25th year here at Nolan and Freund Dental. Marcia is also a native of Glenview! She is a supportive, knowledgeable Patient Care Advocate and enjoys the time she spends with patients everyday.
Anna joined our team in 2017. Before diving into the dental world Anna was in retail and Interior Design, so she has an extensive customer service background, which made her a great addition to our Patient Care Advocate Team! Shes always ready to greet our patients with a smile.
Ginger graduated from The University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and biology. She has been practicing dental hygiene for almost 20 years. Ginger is passionate about learning and sharing information, especially when it comes to overall health. She believes that a healthy mouth is crucial to a healthy body.

Great annual exam, they checked my gums for cancer, and gingival recession, checked for cavities, and cleaned my teeth. Dr. Freund sanded down one of my fillings so that food doesn't collect in it. Very thorough!

Excellent dental office. They are always seeking the best options and treatment plan for the patient's health. I would highly recommend them. There has been a world of difference in the care I receive at this office and my past experiences with dentists. They are very knowledgeable and Dr. Chad Freund, whom I regularly see for visits, is always seeking the best outcome for his patients. The entire staff is always friendly and helpful whether it's filing insurance or scheduling for an emergency. They have the latest technology and when I needed a crown they were able to make one right in their office instead of putting in a temporary. I appreciate the caring atmosphere and Dr. Chad's integrity and honesty.

Can't say enough about this Dental Practice, today was just a regular check~up, love all the staff. My last visit let me experience the newest technology, saved me so much time and I left there with a brand new crown, what used to be a month process was done in a day. I have been looking for a new dentist, a personal recommendation was given to try the Nolan and Freund Dental professionals. The Nolan and Freund Dental office is easy to access and exceptionally clean and organized. The office has a very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Chad (my dentist) is a great dentist. He took his time to explain the diagnosis of the damage done to my teeth. As well as the processes for any treatment(s) which may be needed. I would recommend giving them your time, let them work with you on any dental issues in your life.

I placed a review of this practice based on my experience. I received multiple, lengthy, threatening emails from Dr. Chad noting he will take legal action if I do not remove my reviews. I do not wish to spend further time, energy, stress and possibly money dealing with Dr. Chad so unfortunately he "intimidated" me into taking down the details of our experience. Update 12/17/19 - in response to the response below- I wish I could rebut with the details of our experience. But as stated above, I received several threats of legal action including personal texts so in order to protect myself, I unfortunately have to remain quiet.

First visit to this practice. Very satisfied. Friendly staff and a very through examine. Would recommend to others. 8/30/16 Sherry -- Dr. Chad did an excellent job as usual. Love that you can have a crown made during the same visit due to their new 3D machine 9/20/18 Ron -- Needed a crown. Handled by Dr. Mike. Outstanding job. I cannot say enough about this Practice. The two dentist supported by a great staff do excellent work. My crown from start to finish took less than two hours. The crown was created in their office on a computer/3D printer that does a perfect job. Nice people, great work. Once again, I highly recommend their dental practice. 10/28/19 Have now been going to this dental practice for over 3 years. Never disappointed. The dentists are highly skilled and excellent in their treatment of patients. The staff is very friendly and everyone works hard to make your visit pleasant. Once again I'm happy to recommend this practice. 12/4/20 Sherry -- As usual, very through. Very satisfied with today's visit. Dr. Chad answered all my questions and concerns. My hygienist is the best ever.
