Dr. Korf was born and raised in Chicago, IL. After college he attended Northwestern University Dental School. He then went to the University of Minnesota for his Pediatric residency. He has been practicing his specialty since 1976 in Scottsdale. Dr. Korf has held many dental association positions and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, and the Central Arizona Dental Association.
Dr. Korf's practice differs from most other pediatric practices with a non-sedation approach. He prefers to take a humanistic view and spends time talking to the children and parents. In addition mothers and fathers are allowed to observe their child during dental treatment.

It is universally acknowledged that Primary or 'baby' teeth are very different than permanent or 'adult' teeth. Pediatric Dentists are specially trained and are required to complete a two year residency program in addition to the standard four years of dental school.
Pediatric Dentists are, essentially, 'Pediatricians of the Mouth.' Just as most enlightened and caring parents choose to have their children treated by a Pediatrician, instead of their adult doctor, Pediatric Dentists are better educated and equipped to treat children and childhood diseases and, through specialized education, training and experience, are aware of the differences and the oral problems that are most common to children.
For example, many family or general dentists do NOT advise parents to have their children examined beginning at age one and instead, wait to examine children at age three or four. Pediatric Dentists know that this delay in examination and potential treatment is unacceptable and potentially harmful to your child's oral health.
Primary teeth are susceptible to decay as soon as they erupt into the mouth. The science of Pediatric Dentistry has proven that waiting until ages three or four is often too late to discuss prevention as many of these young children already have cavities.
In addition, many very young children fall and injure their mouths and should be seen to assess the problem. Pediatric Dentists are equipped with the proper size instruments and X-ray films to evaluate the oral trauma.
Finally and most importantly, Pediatric Dentists are trained in the behavior management of the child - at any age. This allows Dr. Korf and his staff to treat your child in a professional, kind and empathetic manner which will empower them to look forward to their next visit to the dentist.

We also love spending time in the out doors, camping, fishing, hunting, and we love going to the beach in Mexico.

My husband I have 3 amazing kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. One of our favorite past times is family game night.In our Spare timewe support our kids in their sporting events. We love to go camping, fishing and travel.

I literally can not say ENOUGH good things about this office. My son is 5 and a half and very apprehensive. I myself, was very apprehensive about our former dentist's recommendation to sedate my children for minor dental work. Dr. Korf and his staff were so kind, and so patient and so good at explaining exactly what they were doing. My son went from being nervous and unsure to anxiously awaiting his next appointment! Talk about making a good impression. All the girls in the office are absolutely wonderful and Dr Korf himself called to check on my son after a procedure. As I said I don't have enough good things to say and will recommend this office to anyone in Phoenix.

Dr. Korf is by far the finest pediatric dentist in AZ. He is kind, patient, cares about his patients and their parents, makes time to put the kids at ease, answer their questions (even the ones they don't think to ask), and then provides the same information to parents so we can follow up with our kids and make sure their dental health is maintained. He even takes the time at the end of his long day to call and make sure your child is doing well after their appointment. Best dentist ever.

I have been taking my kids to Dr Korf since my 12-year-old was two. We have always had great experiences. All of the staff are friendly and courteous and most importantly great with kids! Dr Korf is an experienced dentist whom I trust completely.

Great office, Dr and staff. My kiddos are very comfortable here. The staff is knowledgeable and really nice. The Dr knows his stuff and does not force treatment on you, but makes knowledgeable recommendations. We have been patients for about 14yrs.

I love this office. My daughter has been terrified of any doctors office and they have been incredible working with her. Everyone is friendly and Dr. Korf is amazing!! Highly recommend!!

Such an amazing dentist! And staff! I brought my daughter here when she was 3 and a previous dentist recommended feelings plus a cap, and said she needed to be out under. I was uncomfortable with using anesthesia outside a hospital setting so I searched for a dentist who could fill cavities with just a local numbing and found Dr. Korf! He was just so great with my daughter! He recommended only fillings and no cap and it took no more then 10minutes to fill a couple cavities! I cant recommend him enough. She's almost 6 now and he's still our dentist and I've started bringing my 1.5 year old as well. Wouldn't trust any other dentist!

Dr. Korf was amazing. My son is scared of the dentist office. Dr. Korf's team was fantastic with him. Everyone including Dr. Korf walked him through everything they were going to do. The staff is very knowledgeable. Dr. Korf has such great bed side manner. Now my son nervous are so at ease and can't wait to go back. My son has been taking extra special care with his teeth. He was only a one time a day brusher but not anymore. After he seen his smile he makes sure he is brushing and flossing morning, night and after he eats. Thank you Dr. Korf and your team for being so amazing!!

It is rare to have outstanding care and service anymore. Yet both are found here. Dr. Korf doesn't have fancy bells and whistles everywhere but what you find is a dentist where kids love coming. All their fears are put to ease, even when it comes to having a cavity filled. Dr. Korf is filled with years of experience and I am so grateful we found him. My kids love going to the dentist.

My 9 year old was nervous about going to her appt. because the last dentist she seen wasn't a pleasant experience for her. When we got there she was quiet but everyone made her feel so comfortable and she eventually became more at ease. She's a dog lover so the pictures around the office and many dog books were an added bonus. Every single person we came into contact with made us feel right at home. I am so thankful we came into the office. Dr. Korf and his staff are amazing.
