Jamie has been a licensed dental professional for more than a decade holding a certification from the Dental Assisting National Board as well as the State of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry. Jamie began her career as an orthodontic assistant before joining Nobel Perio in January 2020. Jamie also works as a licensed Nail Technician/Esthetician and enjoys helping her patients and clients feel and look their very best. In her spare time, Jamie is an avid reader and dog lover.
As the gums beginto recess due to disease, our bodies lose a natural defense mechanism that once protected us from bacterial penetration and trauma. If you are suffering from recessed gums, NobelPeriocan help with a procedure known as gum grafting.
If only a minor recession is present and some healthy gingivaremains, treatment may only include the alteration of your at-home oral hygiene routine. But if the recessionhas reached the mucosa, the first line of defense against bacterial penetration is lost.
Gum recession often results in sensitivity to cold and hot foods or beverages and an unsightly gum and tooth appearance. When gum recession is severe, the soft particles of the root surface may become exposed, leading to cavities and root gouging.
A gingival gum graft at NobelPerio can help solve these problems. During the procedure, a thin portion of tissue is removed from the roof of the mouth (ortaken from adjacent areas) to provide a new, stable band of gum surface around the tooth. The grafts are most often used to cover the exposed section of the tooth's root, providing protection against bacteria.
When gum tissue is too thick, covering the tooth surface and making the teeth appear too short, a gingivectomy may be necessary or recommended. This may be caused by medication, ajawbone that extends too close to the surface of the teeth, or inflammation from periodontaldisease.

I highly recommend Dr. Rameriz and her team at Nobel Perio. They were able to see me right away. I was told I needed a root canal by my general dentist and was considering just pulling the tooth but Dr. Rameriz instead of pulling my tooth recommended to another general dentist which was able to fix my problem and save my tooth. Most other practices would have just taken to tooth vs referred me out which I greatly appreciate!

Had to have crown extension surgery last year here. Now I have get that tooth extracted. I was referred to another periodontist by my dentist. But because Nobel Period was so awesome last time I wanted to go back to have my tooth extracted and a implant but in. The staff here is awesome. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Would recommend to come here to have your work done. Very nice and clean place. Especially with all that is going on in the country now.

We are very happy with our consult with Nobel Perio. Everything was explained to us as well as what to expect. In addition, Nobel Perio fee is $2000 less than our first consult. Lovely atmosphere

I cannot say enough good things about the doctor and staff in this office. I have severe anxiety and fear of dental procedures and from my very first visit, everyone in this office has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and put my worries at ease. Dr. Ramirez and her staff are so accommodating and patient with me and my anxiety. I underwent a procedure yesterday and upon arriving at the office, I was very nervous and upset because the anxiety medication was not working. The doctor and her assistant put on a podcast and kept talking to me to distract me and put me at ease. She constantly made sure I was comfortable and could not feel any pain during the procedure. This morning the doctor called me herself to see how I was feeling. Dr. Ramirez and her staff are so kind, patient, and professional. It is a relief to have a doctor and staff I can trust!
