I was existing client of previous owner and dentist she was taking care of all but this new dentist and management didn't do anything and billed to me even I have full coverage of dental insurance that's awful , and asked later why reviewing that's shameful

An absolute scam of a dentistry. Do not go here. The new management ruined a well established dentistry in SF. The previous owner was kind, hard working and had a warm demeanor. I had zero concerns or issues with the previous owner and when reading at all the previous reviews before the new management, I would certainly agree with all the positive remarks and commentary about Nob Hill dental. However, since the new management came in, there has been nothing but concerns and questionable business ethics and morals. If you see the new Dr she will use jargon and scare tactics to get you to have a dental procedure you do not need. For example, she tricked me into getting a crown that I did not need, then my tooth got infected and then I had to have a root canal procedure. Which at first the dentist insisted that I was experiencing allergies and had a sinus infection for going outside with wet hair!? Which is a strange assumption to make when someone is complaining of tooth pain and headaches. I am now being charged over a 1k because they decided to not take my insurance around the time of my crown replacement. They did not inform me of this at the time of my procedure (which was in September 2021) and recently lied on the phone saying they contacted the patient (which I have no records of them contacting me, even though they have all my information). All the documents I signed said $0 since I was double covered and at the time they took my insurance. Now 9 months later I'm getting billed and they gave me one week to pay. On top of that, they are very unprofessional when responding to clients within a timely manner. As they will not answer the phone when you call and take 3 days to return your call. It is extremely disappointing that the new management and owner ruined the reputation of a once well established density in SF Nob Hill.

I went to both Dr. Pham and Dr. Bigdol. Both great doctors and people. Dr. Bigdol has improved my gum and teeth health significantly in the past 6 months and has done it with kindness and patience. I think she is genuinely kind and caring and I had great experiences with her and her current staff. I don't think she's trying to just charge me for things I don't need. Below are details on my experience with her getting a deep cleaning and a cavity filling. She recommended a deep cleaning for me after measuring my gum pockets in the regular checkup. I needed a deep cleaning but other dentists hadn't told me to date. She didn't push me to do one, she told me I had peridontontitis, explained what it was and risk factors, and to do more research online. After research, I decided to get the deep cleaning. I cannot even explain how kind and patient Dr. Bigdol was cause I was scared my first time, she even offered that we don't need to do the procedure right then and I can come back to get it done and she won't charge me for it. My gums are much better and healthy now which I know by the improved gum pocket measurements and how they look. Also, my one tooth that always gave me trouble while brushing and flossing no longer does. She also helped me get my dental hygiene right to prevent issues. At the time I started going to her, I was already flossing every day and cleaning my tongue and the whole routine. She gave me a different tongue cleaner and gum that helps with cavities (for free) and explained how to floss and brush my teeth. I was doing the right things but not the right way and I can't believe how much they've improved my teeth and gums already. I also got a cavity filled with her and she only did the work cause I brought up the tooth was bothering me. She mentioned otherwise the amount of bacteria she is seeing means the other cavities are reversible at this point so she doesn't want to the work unless it's needed. I noticed in previous reviews, a lot of comments were the result of a small business starting pains like hiring, transferring paperwork, etc. which are not great for the customers or the dentist office. Dr. Bigdol very quickly acted on all these. The staff is excellent now, they have all the paperwork transferred, and a good process with insurance. I'll admit there was a short window when it wasn't perfect but it is hard to get a small business up and running. Dr. Bigdol did it quickly and her expertise, care, and empathy outshine the temporary getting a small business up and running pain points. Which again she's worked through very quickly. I love her current office staff! All experienced, great people who know what they're doing.

I am so glad that I found Nobhill Dental! I was looking for a dentist who truly cares for patient for a long time, and I finally found Dr. Bidgol who is a caring doctor , and her patient's best interest is her priority. I had toothache and needed treatment and a crown. I was treated right away and I love my crown. The whole staff was very helpful and friendly. I had the best experience at Nobhill Dental. Thank you for all the great work Nobhill Dental.

I had to wait for close to an hour after my scheduled appointment time before I actually saw Dr Bigdol. It was clear she was attending to multiple patients at once as I would often be left alone in the room, sometimes for as long as 25 minutes. The staff are pretty warm and kind but Dr Bigdol was rude and condescending. They were meant to call me to schedule an appointment for a procedure but I never received the call. All for the best as I have no intention of going back there.

I really do miss Dr. Pham and Dr. Lieu who used to work at nob hill dental. The reason why I said that is due to the fact that they care about their patients and give follow up calls after visiting their clinic. It's a small action, but it makes a great impact. I don't recommend this clinic anymore since everything has changed. What they do right now is just doing their job without further caring. Once you get out of the door, you are a totally stranger. The customer service was miserable, I have to agree what people said when it comes to customer service and time wasted. One guest at a time is one of the suggestions that I will make. Why bother just coming to say hi and let you wait forever. If you can't handle that many clients at a time, then don't take that many patients at once. Time management is also need to be improved to be honest. Furthermore, I noticed there's an inexperienced assistant who can't even do the suction professionally led to I almost chock myself one time, and can't even get the right supplies that the Doctor asked for. I understand that she might be new to this field, and doesn't get familiar with stuff. Please don't get discouraged when you see this, it's not a complaint, but it's an advice that you just have to practice more, however, I just don't wanna be the one who get served in a unprofessional way. And there's one time that I already stated that I signed the content at the front desk, but she just kept asking me to sign the same one again. Later, it turned out that I did sign the content. So, please listen to and trust what your client said. I wish the best for your business, but there are just a number of things need to be developed at this point. Furthermore, think about why all of the sudden you received one star reviews after Dr. Pham is gone. Everything happened for a reason. Don't just say hater's gonna hate, think about your professional skills, think about how much you care about your patients. Last but not least, with unprofessional customer service and attitude, you might just lose more than one clients in the future. Again, I hope you can improve your customer service skill sets and best of luck for your career.

Worst dental experience! Unprofessional dentist and assistants. I am a customer with previous nob hill dentists. But it just suddenly change its ownership. We have made an appointment with previous dentist, so we decided to try it. I needed to do a root cannel treatment and I asked them for my previous x ray file. They told me they don't even have me file (and I was like ????). They can't even find my name under their system? I had to contact the office where I performed the x ray to get the original copy myself. After being referred to other place for root canal, they asked me to make an appointment with them for crown service, which I did. On that day, when I called them for my appointment, they told me they don't have my appointment on file. You can image how I feel when you take a day off for dental care but they tell you that you don't have an appointment. Anyway, they managed to "squeeze" me in. It was a two hour session, and I spent 1.5hr sitting inside and waiting. Dr will just come in and out, chatting and helping others patient at the same time during the treatment. The crown is definitely overpriced compared to others (and the invoice has no details). By the way, they checked your temperatures at the front desk; ironically, they themselves kept coughing in the office (which I am concerned for my own health). Anyway, I am very unhappy with their service and definitely not going back again. When you still have choice, please look into somewhere else.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Bidgol. She was very thorough and went out of her way to take care of making sure I got an appointment the following day that I needed with a gum specialist. I recommend Nob Hill Dentistry everyone is friendly and caring.

I have enjoyed the cozy neighborhood convenience of Nob Hill Dental since 2001. These days as I am getting older I have a sense of vulnerability about maintaining my health that I have not felt before. Dr. Bigdol and her team met me with a much needed presence of warmth and empathy. My fear melted away after a few moments of talking with her. I was able to hear her accessible, clinical description of the care I need, in a tone filled with genuine human kindness. My experience was beyond outstanding.

I am so happy that I found Dr. Bidgol and Nob Hill Dental, My previous dentist (for years) retired about 5 years ago and i have been lost since - the one he sent his patients over to price gauged me for a check up, then i switched to a dental HMO that was filthy and wanted to do scaling on all my gums - which freaked me out since even a regular cleaning was painful from them... then 3 years went by and just before thanksgiving i had an abscess... looked up a dentist nearby from Guardian insurance site and found Nob Hill Dental - when I told them I was in pain, they got me in the next day! (Note: this is why sometimes they take longer to get you in and out - I just include extra time around my appointment knowing they are helping people in pain in addition to regular appointments). The energy in the office is amazing - the staff couldn't be kinder and Dr. Bigdol is so talented and has a great chairside manner - she did such an amazing job on my gums - the entire thing was PAIN FREE.( i was waiting for the pain to hit after the numbing wore off and it never came.) . After not seeing a dentist for 3 years, i've been in 3 times in 3 weeks and the staff feel like family, my teeth look amazing and my gums don't bleed anymore. I am so grateful.

I havebeen going to Nob Hill Dental for many years with the previous dentist and hoped to continue but of course this was contingent on the new dentist. Good news: I like her very much! She was kind and honest, and my visit to correct a chipped tooth was painless. She gave me time to think about choices, and didn't rush me to an expensive fix, which I really appreciate. I feel relieved to have a competent dentist I like and trust!

Was surprised to find a new doctor was there, but Dr. Bidgol was great - friendly, thorough, and made me feel great about my teeth.

I have been going to this dental office since Dr. Wong was there. Then when Dr. Pham took over, I thought she was pretty friendly and the service was good, so I continued going to this office for my cleanings. The only thing that she should have done was to ask more about my night guard and check it to see if it needed to be updated, which I did not know you can do until my ortho told me. For Dr. Bidgol, I only met her once for my cleaning, but had to wait awhile, so took about an hour before I can leave. I do have to come back in January to get potential filling done, so hopefully that is a needed thing for my tooth. We will see. But so far, 5 stars.

As a family, we have been going to Nob Hill Dental since 2009. We appreciate the professionalism of the new dentist and staff but have decided that the quality of the cleaning/visit didn't meet our expectations and are moving on.

I have not been to the dentist in a very long time. I was very nervous for a check up as I do not take care of my teeth as well as I want to. Dr. Pham (first visit 6 months ago, apologies I may have gotten her name incorrect) and Dr. Bidgol have been very helpful and made sure I felt comfortable with no pain all the way through. They made sure to answer any of my questions and made great recommendations on how to keep my teeth healthy.

Nob Hill Dental is my favorite dentist I've gone to in San Francisco. Both times I've gone, my cleaning has been very gentle. The dentist is thorough and took time to answer my questions. While I've had other dentists who are pushy to refer you to specialists for procedures, this dentist takes the less aggressive approach of waiting to see if the problem worsens or causes discomfort, which I really appreciate.

I won't lie, I hadn't been to a dentist in 15 years. I didn't have insurance for a while, and they never bothered me, so it fell by the wayside. I kept driving by and decided to make an appointment. They didn't give me as much grief as I was expecting, and found out that I have the first two cavities in my life. They did X-rays and a cleaning, and will do the filings on a future appointment. I was kept aware of what was going on and was included in the making a plan for the future, and felt comfortable for the entire experience. I will go back for the fillings and in 6 months for a cleaning.
