A good dentist cares about more than just your teeth, which is why Mohammed Nkutu Kirunda, DDS makes it his mission to provide exceptional dental care in a compassionate setting. Dr. Nkutu Kirunda has found a loyal following of patients at his private dentistry practice in Washington DC, where his tremendous concern for every patients well-being shines through in his service.
Originally from Uganda, Dr. Nkutu Kirunda completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the prestigious New York University Dental School. As a member of the American Dental Association, he offers general dentistry services to adults, adolescents, and children of all ages.
In addition to providing a full spectrum of dental services, from teeth whitening to cancer screening, Dr. Nkutu Kirunda also makes sure to spend time educating every patient on the benefits of preventive dental care and proper oral hygiene practices. His goal is not to meet his patients expectations, but to exceed them.
When hes not seeing patients, Dr. Nkutu Kirunda stays involved in charity work in Uganda and continues to pursue innovative dentistry developments. His hobbies include reading, traveling, soccer, and movies.

I was in need of getting my wisdom teeth taken out and randomly came across this dentist while searching . Sandy was amazing from the start. She was very determined to help me get my referral from a previous dentist because of them giving me a hard time . The DR is very nice as well along with the office being very clean but cold lol . Amazing experience this will now be not only my primary dentist but my daughters as well .

This is absolutely the best dentist I have EVER been to. I do not have 1 bad thing to say about them. The staff is so welcoming, and Dr.Kirunda listened to my concerns and did exactly what I asked. I was so nervous going into the office but once I got inside everyone made me feel so much better. Ms.Sandy at the front desk was great from the moment she called me. She answered me on off hours, she had everything prepared for me by the time I got to the office and my appointment was first thing in the morning, his assistant was great with making me feel more comfortable when I told her how nervous I was. I would totally recommend anyone to this dentist, you will not be disappointed. I am so greatful I found this dentist. If anyone has anything bad to say about this dentist, I feel like it's them (patient) because I left this place so happy and that was even after getting a tooth pulled. Thank you Dr.Kirunda and staff, I appreciate the great care!

I'm rating it three stars for now cause I haven't been to my appt yet but from the phone call when I scheduled my appt the service seems to be good & the reviews that say all wonderful things about this dentist. I'm coming to this dentist on a referral basis for a Root Canal so I'll leave another review after my dental visit. I given it 5 stars . The dentist & staff are very professional I highly recommend. I recently became a new patient of his due to covid issue at my last dentist & I highly recommend as I previously stated; the service is excellent

A dental emergency, a broken molar, landed me at Dr. Kirunda's (Dr. K) office. It was my first time there, as my dentist of 20 years did not accept my current insurance plan. Naturally, I was very anxious: a new dentist and a situation that I knew was not good. However, my anxiety immediately subsided starting with my check-in. The lady at the front desk -- I'm sorry that I did not get her name -- was awesome. She was friendly, pleasant and very professional. And by the way, fully Bilingual in English and Spanish. Even as I waited to be seen, another patient was very reassuring and spoke highly of Dr. K. Once seen and evaluated, Dr K. was gentle and efficient. He limits his talking to what he and you need to know -- and that's fine; I was not there for a social call. The office is modern, clean and centrally located, walking distance from several metro stations.

I interred DR NKUTU office with loose tooth pain and nurve pain tooth but I came out the office pain free. Thanks for Dr .Nkutu and staff professionalism . Highly recommended. God bless.

The office manager is very nice and professional she made sure all my needs were addressed and taken care of to complete my visit .The Dentist and his Asst.were nice and cared for my dental needs as required. The office setting was very nice and clean which made me feel very comfortable especially during this Covid season. I believe I have found another Dentist I feel comfortable with I will return for my dental needs

Dr. Kirunda has been my dentist for about three years now, and I have been satisfied with my routine teeth cleanings, as well as one time when he helped remove my final wisdom tooth. He is efficient and calm in demeanor, and explains clearly what he is going to do over the course of the procedure.

He is very patient. For my first time. I'm very glad i chose him. His staff and himself was very professional. He explains every step of the procedure. And hardly felt any pain. He numbs to a perfect 10. He will be my regular dentist.
