A pleasant experience during and after a complex tooth removal. Only felt a small sting from the anesthetic injection then zero pain. Both the staff and Dr NIssen followed up with phone calls that same evening.

Just had oral surgery 3 days ago. I must say, it was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Nissen and his staff are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Nissen removed my sister's wisdom teeth nearly 25 years ago. He removed all 3 of my children's wisdom teeth. We all have had great experiences. If I had to have the procedure all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat as long as Dr. Nissen performs the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Nissen to anyone who may have a phobia of dentists and certainly a phobia of dental surgery. He is hands down absolutely the best!!! I received great care while I was there and remember absolutely nothing about the procedure. I felt great the rest of the day after surgery and the following day. If you want a caring and painless experience, Dr. Nissen is the way to go.

I just want to say Dr.Nissen is the best oral surgeon I have ever met. Dr. Nissen is very nice and personable and caring. He takes time to answer your questions and concerns. I had two top wisdom teeth out and did it with local anesthetic only I didn't feel a thing. The office staff is super nice and caring just like Dr.Nissen. Don't change a thing your office is the best I've seen and I have seen a lot of doctors. I definitely recommend Dr.Nissen!!!

God Bless Dr. Nissan I have always been Scared to get work done in my mouth but Dr. Nissan is the BEST I did not feel a thing he was very gentle, made me very comfortable, Dr. Nissan Is a miracle workersl. Professional! Amazing! I walked into his office Scared Within 1 visit with his amazing gentle touch working in my mouth i did not feel any pain, his the BEST and His staff and wife are friendly, professional and helpful. The only reason they deserve 2 stars is because the lady's at reception and the woman who took me back for x-rays were amazingly kind. I have severe anxiety, expecially in a medical office. My mom was there to fill out papers and help me through the process. She literally flew from out of town because she knows how hard this is for me. I went here on my dentist's referral and he should j have had My record's from her office sent to him before he saw me to begin with. And from the very beginning I have made it clear that no matter the cost I want my teeth back to looking beautiful. He was very rude and condescending towards my mother and myself. Iam very disappointed in not only his office but also the dentist who referred me to him. So sad. Bedside manner is very important! .

Our son had to have oral surgery for his orthodontics. Dr. Nissen and his staff was friendly, patient and professional throughout the process. I felt very comfortable with the treatment and their thorough explanations of the procedure and the costs. Post care was also awesome. The staff helped to make sure my son was comfortable and provided instructions on how to keep him comfortable afterwards, all very helpful! We had follow up calls from both the nurse and Dr Nissen. I highly recommend Dr Nissen!

I have an abnormal fear of dentist and all things dental, so when I was told I needed to have oral surgery, I almost lost it. Thanks to Dr. Larry W. Nissen and his staff at the Merritt Island office, I am not as afraid as I was when I first walked into his office. His staff is exceptional. They are professional, informative, gentle and kind. They did not treat me like my fear was irrational (I already know it is) and answered my questions and treated me with a high level of respect. Once I met and spoke to Dr. Nissen, it was clear the environment of his office comes from the top down. Once the surgery was done and I was back home resting, I received an unexpected call, from Dr. Nissen himself, checking on me to make sure I was okay and doing well. As I said, caring. Highly recommend Dr. Nissen and his staff.

It's been a unprofessional/unpleasant experience to say the least. At first we had a consultation in March which went as planned. My daughter needed 3 teeth pulled for braces. Dr Nissen explained the procedure and informed the options of having injections to numb the area where the teeth were being pulled from and that she would not need to be put under Anastasia if we decided not to and that we have those two options for her and that if we decided which we did to go with just numbing her gums with the injections It's was $1,300.00 to remove the 3 teeth. We clarified that the total cost would be $1,300.00 because we were going to apply for care credit to help spread the cost over payments. They do not take payments. Fast forward five months later three weeks before the surgery the office called us to make sure my daughter didn't want to be put under. My wife said after talking to the doctor we didn't feel it was necessary. The office called another four times in a week to make sure that we didn't want to have her put under anastasia. Fast forward two days before the surgery the office called and told us that Dr. Nissen wouldn't do the surgery unless she is put under anastasia. It would cost another $1,200.00. We didn't understand why we were told we had a option and now all the sudden the change , the front office lady said after Dr Nissen has looked over everything that she would need to be put under. This was very annoying and frustrating. That we would need to come in and sit with the Dr and he would explain why. I thought that's what the consultation was for? Nothing had change from the original procedure. I still didn't understand and they couldn't explain the sudden change. We agreed to move forward and reschedule which was also a inconvenience after planning this for the last five months. Move forward the day of the surgery. My wife and daughter and went in at 7:30 am and they asked my daughter did you eat or drink anything (they never told my daughter or wife the procedure of not eating anything after 12pm) my daughter said she had a sip of water. The front office said please wait a min. Ten minutes later the Dr came out with no hi or how are you doing Mrs.Foster and went right into ( in front of my 14 year daughter already anxious about having surgery) that by her having a sip of water it could go into her lungs and get pneumonia in your lungs and kill you! He assisted that his office explained the procedure to my wife. She explained they did no such thing. He assisted they did as he was on the phone when they called and then he walked away. My wife went to the lady's at the front and explain that she was never told on the phone by the other lady who explained Procedures Prior to surgery ( no eating or drinking after 12 am) The office didn't not respond as she knew what she did not tell my wife. The said they would call to reschedule. My wife told them that would not be necessary. This has been a horrible experience. You think spending a total of $3,000.00 for 45 mins you get comfortable experience. This was not the case. I usually do not write reviews as I don't want to hurt anybody's company but I think people should at least hear what we went through and make you own decision. Hopefully the business learns from this and improves their customer relations.
