Raymond R. Niles Jr., DDS Dr. Niles has been serving the Woodbridge area for over 30 years. He originally came to Woodbridge to be a small, country town dentist. Since that time, Woodridge has changed a lot, but his philosophy of how to practice dentistry has not. He believes that he should always treat all his patients like he would members of his own family. He strives every day to give his patients his absolute best. He has stayed dedicated to offering his patients the absolute best modern dentistry has to offer by being continually engaged in furthering his education. He graduated with a bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Richmond. He then received his dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU). Since graduating, Dr. Niles has far exceeded the amount of continuing education necessary for his profession. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the United States Dental Institute. With over 30 years of experience in orthodontics, Dr. Niles is also pleased to be able to offer his patients comprehensive orthodontics within a general dental setting. In addition to a career in dentistry, Dr. Niles has been married to his wife, Cindy, for over 40 years. They have 5 children and 14 grandchildren. He is truly a family man with the highest level of integrity and ethics.
Kathryn Niles-Smith, DMD Dr. Smith is Dr. Niles daughter. She has been working in the dental field since the age of 14. Unlike her siblings, Dr. Smith was not an athlete. To keep her engaged, her dad had her come and work with him on Saturdays and after school all through her high school years. This resulted in her finding a true understanding and passion for dentistry. She practices with the same philosophy as her dad: treat all patients like family or as she would want to be treated. Working with her dad has been one of the greatest honors of Dr. Smiths life. Dr. Smith earned her bachelors degree in Biology at the College of Charleston in 2003. She then earned her dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2010. She has also been passionate about continuing her dental education by engaging in numerous dental courses every year. She is an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the United States Dental Institute. One of Dr. Smiths passions is going on mission trips. She has gone to Honduras, Panama and the Dominican Republic to serve by providing dental care. Married for over 10 years, Dr. Smith has three children with her husband, Tom. They love living close by both of their parents to provide lots of grandparent time to their children.
Loc Loc has been at Niles Dental in Woodbridge, Va since 2011. You will find that he is one of the gentlest and most thorough hygienists you have ever seen. He strives to achieve patient comfort while thoroughly helping his patients attain optimal oral health. In addition to providing hygiene care, Loc also maintains all the dental equipment to ensure things run smoothly throughout the day. If a person could define excellence in work ethic, Loc would be the example. He is always looking for ways to improve the patient experience.
Loc graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 2011. He has participated in continuing education courses every year since graduating. Loc is married to a wonderful woman named Katie and they have just recently had their first child.
Barbara Barbara has been with our practice here in Woodbridge, Va since September of 2010. You will find Barbara always to be cheerful and enjoying her profession. She makes every effort to help patients achieve and maintain the best in periodontal health. Since she joined our practice, she has developed a devoted fan club through her hard work and concern for her patients. In addition to her strong commitment to excellence in dental hygiene, Barbara also contributes to the positive and friendly atmosphere at Niles Dental by truly respecting and enjoying her co-workers. Barbara and her husband, John, have been married for over 30 years. They have one child that is currently in college.
Luz Luz moved to Woodbridge, Va and joined the Niles Dental team in 2014. Ever since joining the team, she has demonstrated that she excels in patient care and comfort. This quality made her a perfect match for the dental atmosphere created at this Woodbridge, Va dental office. Luz excels at working with patients who have dental anxieties. The care and sympathy she can give to anxious patients is due to a traumatic incident she experienced at a dental office when she was younger. She used to be extremely anxious about dental procedures and anesthetic. She uses this experience to help the patients understand that they do not need to be scared and there are many medications and in-house services that can help them ease their anxiety level. She does whatever she can to help them feel as comfortable as possible and also loved and understood.
Luz is the daughter of two loving parents and the sister of a 28-year-old brother who she is very close to. Her parents are originally from El Salvador and moved to the United States at the ages of 19 and 14. Luz is grateful for her family and enjoys spending her free time with them.
Luz graduated from Park View High School in 2008 and has been in the dental field since 2009. She has been a member of our practice for six months and loves to give the patients the comfort they need to feel safe at the dental office.
Lori Lori has lived and worked in Woodbridge her entire life and has been with the practice since 1980. She loves being part of this big, happy dental family and thoroughly enjoys working with the children. Before starting a career at Niles Dental, Lori attended Woodbridge Senior High School and Northern Virginia Community College, and she is now a wonderful attribution to our team and is also a member of the Dental Society.
Thomas Tom joined the Niles dental team in 2011. He has an in depth knowledge of insurance and billing matters and will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have in these matters. You will find that Tom is very pleasant to work with and always keeps a positive attitude. If you want to get into a long conversation, ask Tom about fishing. He could talk for hours on the subject! In addition to working at Niles Dental in Woodbridge, Va, Tom is married with 3 kids. They keep him very busy!
