Raymond G Nikodem, DDS and Associates are general dentists; not specialists. Implantology is not a recognized specialty by the ADA or the State of Missouri. Nikodem Dental Care, P.C., has 6 convenient locations to serve you:

Creighton alumnus Ray Nikodem, DDS 87, a dentist in St. Louis, is part owner of a racehorse that competed in the 2006 Kentucky Derby Flashy Bull. He won the money to purchase a stake in the gray-colored thoroughbred while wagering on the 2005 Kentucky Derby.

Nikodem said having a horse in the Kentucky Derby was an incredible experience, especially because of the Derbys tradition of allowing owners to join the trainers in the barn area, and then walking your horse over to the paddock for the race.

I dont know what was more thrilling being in the barn and hearing, Horsemen, bring your horses over for the Kentucky Derby on the P.A. system, or walking Flashy Bull over to the paddock in front of 150,000 cheering people, he said.

They see your mouth as only $$$$ My first time going: - they would not even look at former (recent) x-rays. (Which most dentists will review even if they are a few years old, so they can see any changes) - they took more than necessary x-rays. - they didn't look in mouth before taking x-rays (there was food blocking the view in one shot). - x-rays scrapped up my mouth and they weren't understanding of me needing a minute to cry (due to my strong gag reflex). - they tried to sell me on a very expensive specific electric toothbrush 3 times during the visit. - they used handheld x-ray cameras (overexposing themselves to x-ray radiation). As an Engineer of medical devices I have no idea how this passes FDA and OSHA standards for medical equipment. - they didn't clean my teeth at all. - they casually and not carefully measured my mouth. didn't check to ensure they were typing the right numbers, just tapped the keyboard to seem as though they were doing things. They didn't use anything to measure, just guessed with a mirror. - they hygienist first said "we'll do everything we can to ensure you don't have any more crowns" then the dentist looked at my mouth mentioned some cavities looked old and I should just have 4 crowns, hygienist then gave me a speech about how important crowns were. - They told me I had gum disease (which I just went to another dentist 6 months ago and no one has ever mentioned gum disease before). - they tried to persuade me twice to get treatment right away instead of waiting for insurance coverage (using pushing tactics). - dentist told me I should floss my teeth 5 times a day, even when driving (specially when commuting to my job) which is obviously dangerous. In addition to trying to make me feel guilty about not flossing, they told me I should stop eating all sugar and if I do, rinse my mouth out every time (which is fine advice if not for the context). - they never once mentioned getting a general cleaning (which every dentist does). - front desk people discussed up-charging customers while I was in the waiting room. - they told my husband he needed $13,000 of dental work ASAP (again he went to a different dentist 6 months prior and they never mentioned such concerns). - I asked if they were going to do all crowns at once and they were like "of course", instead of telling me which ones (if any) were of the most importance. - most dentist look at the first visit and make notice of things to "watch" then ask the patient to return 3 to 6 months later so they can see if anything is getting worse instead of just jumping into crowning every potential issue they see. - they asked fairly personal questions during the new patient forms, such as what job I have (I can only assume to gage my $$$)

This office has very curt and rude staff . They make a dental plan for you to be seen every three months but you can't get an appointment for 6 months .Then when you call with an issue the staff tells you that your dental health is having problems because you the patient didn't follow the dental care plan set forth ...if you can't see the patient for 6 months you as the provider has failed the patient and you as the provider has failed to follow your own plan as set forth .This dental office clearly can't handle its patient load. Take your dental health anywhere but here !!

Husband and I took time off from work for a new client appt and cleaning. Had dentist and regular cleanings, but due to insurance changes needed to switch and thought I would give them a try. We got the sales pitch for the toothbrush and told we had to have the deep gum scaping before we were able to get a regular cleaning. Mind you, there were regular cleanings with the prior dentist and no gum issues. What an absolute waste of time. Too bad they will get money from my insurance, because they honestly shouldn't get paid anything. Seems to me they are running a scam. Sad. Me or my family will not be back and absolutely will not recommend.

I go to the Rock Hill location. They are great! One dental assistant is really great. Sometimes assistants or dentists forget the teeth they are working on are attached to a person and not just a mouth--it can really make going to the dentist an awful experience. A specific assistant there is really wonderful at what she does. Not only is she very efficient at her job tasks, but her chair side manner is just superb. She never forgets I am more than the pictures or the crown that needs to be jammed in place. She is just sweet and gentle and so excellent at what she does. Highly recommend Dr E, but especially when he has Carolyn by his side! She's the best assistant I've had the pleasure of caring for me in years!

I'm truly disgusted with the service provided. Never have I had to deal with such disregard for the customer. Don't waste your time.

AVOID. Made an appt for a new client exam and cleaning. Filled out forms online, confirmed all needed documents were completed 48 hours prior to exam. Arrived 10 minutes early for 9 am appointment and was handed more documents to fill out. Hygienist finally came for me at 935. The sales pitch began immediately. They can sell me the best toothbrush ever cheaper than anyone else, people should really be getting "deep laser cleanings" and etc. Just like all the other reviews. Wish I'd read them before I made the appointment. They said I could have a regular cleaning if I refused their other proposals (so as not to completely waste my morning) and then refused to give me one. When I declined an $1100 out of pocket treatment plan (which they could do today!) the hygienist snapped off my bib and showed me to the desk. At least they gave me the form my next dentist can use to get my X-rays.

So happy with my results. I was recommended to go here by a good friend to fix my front tooth. Easy location to find. Genuinely friendly and well put together staff. Very reassuring, patient and kind denitist and staff for us nervous-ninnies. I made an appointment within the same week that i had first called to set a date and they had me fixed up and smiling within an hour of walking in the door. I absolutely recommended.

Brought dentures in to replace a tooth that had fallen out. Dentures were purchased there 3.5 years ago. Asked how much to repair over the phone..$201.00. Showed the dentures to the assistant, she said let me get the Dentist. Dentist's came in said you have good bone structure and are a good candidate for dentures and left. Gave them the dentures, went to pay, $293.00 ...$92.00 for office visit...I was "OUTRAGED". What a poor business model that is. Designed to line their pockets and make clients mad. They lost my future business and no way I would refer friends in need, to go there. SIMPLE AS THAT

I wasn't comfortable and felt they were pushy on sales. I know my teeth are not the best, but became full sales call instead of cleaning my teeth. I did not feel comfortable with there sales tactics and it is a franchise. Nor did they clean my teeth. Had to call insurance so they couldn't claim the cleaning.

On 01/01/22 I experienced a dental emergency when a molar that Jerry Hill DMD sheared off leaving an exposed nerve. I made the soonest appointment I could get which was 01/04/22. I arrived early but when I approached the check-in counter, I was told I had to wear mask. I tried to explain that my disability prohibited me wearing a mask exempting me from their idiotic, arbitrary mask mandate. The ignorant receptionist called in her supervisor who decided that if I refused to wear an obedience mask that she would call the police. I told her to "Go Ahead". At that point she turned her back and fled. As she retreated, she cancelled my emergency appointment. Which by the way, was an hour drive with a bad tooth ache? Thanks for all the pain and suffering and being treated like a second-class citizen...

The first dentist I saw was way to impressed by previous dental work I had done. It gave me a bad vibe. Also, they have a strict cancellation policy and charge you even if you miss for circumstances out of your control.

I called several dentist offices to get a tooth looked at that's giving me problems and Nikodem was the only place with availability. I got called the night before my appointment and was told their compressor went out and I'd have to reschedule and that they were pretty booked out for cleanings. I told them the issues i was having and they scheduled me for Monday 11-9-20. I show up to the office and the doors are locked. No courtesy phone calls to anyone and they're closed all week due to an "outbreak". There was an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair there for his appointment as well and he seemed to be very unhappy. I cannot believe none of us were notified prior to our appointments because we all have lives and had to schedule our day around it. Very frustrating!

I enjoyed my experience at NikodemDental on Butler Hill Rd. The receptionists are friendly and pleasant. They are very COVID CONSCIOUS... masks must be worn and your temperature taken. The best part of my experience was with Dr.Jerry Hill. I had an abscess tooth and was in a lot of pain, but foremost than the pain, I have had very bad past painful dental experiences. Dr. Hill was kind, pleasant and painless! I will definitely be back. The fear and pain are gone!
