Creighton alumnus Ray Nikodem, DDS 87, a dentist in St. Louis, is part owner of a racehorse that competed in the 2006 Kentucky Derby Flashy Bull. He won the money to purchase a stake in the gray-colored thoroughbred while wagering on the 2005 Kentucky Derby.
Nikodem said having a horse in the Kentucky Derby was an incredible experience, especially because of the Derbys tradition of allowing owners to join the trainers in the barn area, and then walking your horse over to the paddock for the race.
I dont know what was more thrilling being in the barn and hearing, Horsemen, bring your horses over for the Kentucky Derby on the P.A. system, or walking Flashy Bull over to the paddock in front of 150,000 cheering people, he said.

Definitely get a second opinion if you come here . Was told my gums were diseased and I needed several rounds of deep cleaning . Went to another dentist and that is not the case at all. They are for sure after your money not your overall care . Also never liked the dentist he never said one word to me just looked in my mouth and ran off . Very unfortunate they are taking advantage of people based off of other reviews I'm seeing as well.

I wish I could give zero stars this place is awful, I had to get a filling done and it was a deep filling. Instead of recommending an extraction which was what it needed in the first place come to find out they decided to clean out the Dacay and just fill it knowing I could have pulpitis since I already previously had a lot of pain with the tooth, they wanted there money though so knowing I had an infected tooth they sent me on my way with some antibiotics that didn't work and basically told me they would refer me somewhere else because they "can't perform an extraction when my tooth is in extraordinary pain" which isn't true because it was in pain when I came in and they number me just fine to fill it. They just wanted to get some money out of me and screw me over now I have an infection from the tooth that could spread to my other teeth and the only place they referred me to has a month waiting list which means I have to sit in unbearable pain until my appointment.

Nope I went here for years and years. If Vicki (the best part of the visit) isn't there it's all gone bad. Took needless X-rays. Tried convincing me to have needless procedures. I visited a new dentist for the first time today. NONE of what Nikodem dental told me about my teeth or gums was true.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful from the time you walk in the door until you leave. Bailey gave me my first cleaning in a few years, and Suzie was very patient with me while fitting me with a flexi partial. As long as I'm in the Springfield area, I'll be going there.

The staff, itself, is quite friendly BUT Dr. Hill is horrendous. I have a phobia of dentists so it takes a lot of courage for me to go to one. He entered the room without even looking at me and said "I'm Dr. Hill" and immediately went to the computer. He immediately looked at my x-ray and said I needed 14 crowns. When I questioned him, he took his gloves off without even looking in my mouth, and through the gloves at the dental hygienist. He said it would be best if I sought out another dentist. And left the room. I didn't even get the cleaning I went in for.

Nikodem dental is very professional, and friendly. They treat you like family. They are all wonderful but Susie is a true blessing.
