Dr. Sullens is from the Asheville and Western North Carolina region. She grew up in Brevard and graduated with honors as a National Science Scholar from Brevard High School. At an early age, she knew she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her idol, the late Dr. Jerry Cabe and pursue a career in dentistry. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Dr Sullens matriculated into the UNC-School of Dentistry in 1997.
For the next four years, Dr. Sullens practiced as an associate with Dr. Gary Hensley in Marion, NC. She opened her own practice here in Asheville in 2007 and has been happily fixing smiles for the past eight years.
With 13 years of clinical experience, Dr. Sullens is dedicated to providing you with results that will make you smile. You will be welcomed into a friendly atmosphere and top quality care. Ronda graduated from AB Technical Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2002. She has been in the dental field for 24 years and has been with Dr. Sullens from the start. She is married and has three grown children. Ronda enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and music production with her husband.
Deirdre is a native of Syracuse, NY. She moved to Asheville in January of 2013 and has been with Nicole Sullens, DDS since. A 2004 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, she attended OCM BOCES in 2009 for Dental Assisting. Deirdre enjoys many of the activities that Asheville has to offer.

Dr Sullens botched it, I can't prove it but I think I lost a tooth due to oversight, I am not going to go into details, but overall inadequate care. You've been warned.

Today I had my first visit with Dr. Sullens, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in Asheville! The hygienist, Jessica, was absolutely delightful & did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. She was very gentle & shared pictures of her dogs & just totally put me at ease. I had one cavity that needed to be filled & Dr. Sullens was able to work me in right after my cleaning, which was so nice. She made sure I didn't feel a thing & kept checking in throughout to make sure I was comfortable. It was by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had at the dentist. The receptionist was also great & made sure to answer all of my insurance billing questions. I'm hoping to be a longtime patient of this practice cause they are awesome!

I would give Dr. Sullens and her staff 10 stars if I could. They are wonderful. I have a horrible fear of needles and Dr. Sullens was so patient and made the whole experience one of the best I've ever had. I won't go to another dentist as long as I can go there. Her staff is also very kind and friendly and made me feel so much better about everything. You all are the best!!

I had been going to this dental office for 3 years. I called with severe pain in one of my teeth. They called me to make an appointment and then called to cancel it. They said they would call me to reschedule the date. They never did. I even called the office and never got a response. Ended up finding an emergency dentist that took me in right away and I am sticking with her. I will have my new dentist get my records transferred.

I had a very bad experience at Dr. Sullens office. After getting x-rays taken, Dr. Sullens told me I had 6 cavities to be filled. A few weeks later, I had three of them filled by her. I was experiencing a ton of pain a few days after due to my bite not being aligned properly. The office, however, was closed for the entire week, and they did not provide a referral to another dentist. They were completely unreachable. I had to scramble to find a new dentist, and luckily found another dentist in Asheville who was able to see me right away, aligned my bite properly, and got me fixed. He could not believe that Dr. Sullens had not had a system in place to refer patients with emergency issues to another dentist. I then had this new dentist look at the old x-rays from Dr. Sullens office to get a second opinion about my cavities. This new dentist told me that the x-rays from Dr. Sullens office were incredibly low-res, and he couldn't tell from them. After getting new x-rays taken by the new dentist, he informed me that only one of the three remaining cavities should be filled. I was able to see both x-rays side-by-side and the quality difference was astounding. On top of all of this, my wife had an issue with a crown from Dr. Sullens office. She was not consulted about what type of crown she would receive, and her tooth is now blue. And to make it fit, a healthy tooth was shaved. My wife called several times, left several messages, and Dr. Sullens still won't call her back. I would not recommend this dentist for their outdated x-ray machine, and complete lack of communication.

I have severe anxiety when it comes to any kind of dental work - When I called and made my appointment I made sure to let them know. From the moment I walked through the front door the young lady at the front desk assured me Dr. Sullens and her staff would take great care of me. She was so correct! I am so excited I have found a dentist that gets to know her patients wants and needs. When I left the office I felt like I had just gotten a brand new set of shiny clean teeth. I will recommend to all my friends and family. Thank you Dr and staff.

Best bedside manner is at this office. Dr. Sullen cleaned my husband's teeth and went over everything we needed done, after exceptional care he is on the right track. Jana is a pleasure to deal with and the atmosphere is so serene for a dentist's office.

I called to receive treatment for a painful toothache and was able to take advantage of a cancellation the next day. Their professionalism and friendliness were only surpassed by Dr Sullens's expert diagnosis and treatment. Thank you very much, Dr. Sullens.

I must say, I had not been to the dentist since 2004 when I came into Dr. Sullen's office last year for the first time. I have a very real fear/phobia of dental work and even just simple stuff like getting my teeth cleaned gets me all sorts of nervous as any member of her staff will confirm as irrational as that may seem, every part of my visits to this office are a delight! I love the staff, Dr. Sullen's always goes above and beyond to help calm me down and has never caused any more discomfort than what I think is fair for the few fillings I've had. Ronda, the hygienist is also great! She has cleaned my teeth several times at this point and is always as gentle as can be. My first cleaning was two separate visits due to the calculus build up of 14 years and the process of removing that much build up. Now I see her every three months. that combined with good at home care has really changed the game for my smile and gums! You do need to understand that This isn't a big corporate style business, they are small and sometimes it may take a little longer to do certain things as they don't have 3 or 4 doctors available to see 14 people at a time, but she does make time to get people in and out to the best of her ability I would recommend Dr. Sullen's and her staff to anyone, especially people who are as apprehensive to dental work to start with!
