Our office staff works with patients to determine what insurance will cover and what will be an out-of-pocket expense. We accept checks, cash, or credit cards. We also offer payment plans. Please see our financial coordinator for details.
We strive to provide affordable dental care and offer a variety of payment options. If Dr. Paxson recommends treatment, we give you an estimate of your cost and work with you to make arrangements for payment. We require payment at the time of service.
We exceed all OSHA standards and follow strict protocols to guarantee patient safety. We utilize several sterilization techniques and use disposable supplies whenever possible. Our office also has a state-of-the-art water sanitation system. We constantly monitor and test our sterilization equipment, so you can rest assured that you are safe.
Regular dental visits are essential for early detection and treatment of issues from tooth decay to oral cancer. Some individuals may need to see the dentist more often than others to stay on top of problems like plaque buildup and gum disease, but everyone should go at least once per year.
Dr. Paxson grew up in Bay City, graduating from John Glenn High School. She started her undergraduate studies at Delta College and transferred to Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Packaging Engineering. Dr. Paxson graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1995. Today, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Saginaw Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Paxson joined this office in January 1999, when she was married to John A. Paxson. Her husband passed away in 2003. She re-married and today shares her life with her husband, Joel Flower, and six children, Sam, Caroline, Madeline, Samantha, Rachel, and Elizabeth. The family enjoys running, downhill skiing, traveling, reading, and hiking.
She also loves everything about her career, from the constant opportunities to learn to the patients to the staff. Each patient is unique and has unique needs. I hope to serve those needs, whether it be the emotional need to get over obstacles of fear or anxiety or physical limitations that require accommodations during treatment. Her staff enjoys each others company and creates a supportive atmosphere. I have a lot of respect for each team member.
I love working with my hands and being able to serve others with my skills. As a child and adolescent growing up, I loved to work with my hands. My mom encouraged this by getting me involved with art as varied as sketching, watercolors and oil painting, crocheting, sewing, wood carving, and calligraphy. I also played the guitar for 8 years prior to having a family. I also like the ability to establish one-on-one relationships with patients. They are the foundation for everything I am able to do and accomplish.
Renee graduated from Ferris State University in 2012 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She worked in dental offices from 2012 until joining our practice in 2019. She lives in Saginaw with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. In her free time, youll find Renee spending time with her family, enjoying outdoor activities, and reading.
Amy started working as a Dental Assistant in 1993, after earning her certification at Coastal Carolina College in Wilmington, North Carolina. She started working for Dr. Paxson in 2005 and has been very happy working here ever since. I couldnt ask to work for a nicer person, someone who I truly respect and admire. I like the sincerity, knowledge, and dedication we each bring to the office. I also enjoy meeting and making the patients happy and comfortable with their smiles. Amy grew up in Saginaw and is happy to see her beautiful daughter growing up here.
Melissa joined Dr. Paxsons team in 2014. She is excited to be part of this wonderful team. Melissa has been a dental assistant for over 20 years. She attended Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University. Melissa enjoys kayaking and camping with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her nieces, nephew, family, and her dogs, Zion and Zoey.
Aidalys graduated Pima Medical Institute in Tucson, AZ in 2012 where she proceeded to work the front office side of a dental office. She moved to Michigan in 2014. She temped for us in 2014 and 2015 and came on-board as our part-time dental assistant permanently in November of 2018. She enjoys the back office and loves learning any and everything she can about the dental field. In her free time, Aidalys likes to run, craft, exercise, and crochet. Her husband and 3 daughters love to drag her camping and she usually obliges as long as a race is involved.
