As a Mississippi native, Dr. Nichols received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi, followed by a Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1994. He ranked first in his class and was a recipient of the Wallace V. Mann Academic Achievement Award. While at UMC School of Dentistry, he became a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Dr. Nichols obtained his Medical Degree from the highly respected University of Alabama. After completing a general surgery internship, he continued his studies in Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama, currently one of the top programs in the United States. Following his residency, Dr. Nichols moved to Flowood, Mississippi to begin his oral and facial surgery practice.
In his private practice, Dr. Nichols has an appreciation for the broad scope of oral and facial surgery. His training has prepared him to comprehensively diagnose and treat the hard and soft tissues of the face and its supporting structures. Dr. Nichols is committed to providing the utmost care for the patients that entrust him with their surgical desires.

They got me in for my wisdom tooth removal quickly and even worked around my school schedule. Dr. Nichols is a wonderful surgeon that shows true compassion for his patients. Highly recommend.

Dr. Nichols is the OMFS that takes care of other dentists and physicians and their families. I think that says it all about the quality of his work. Also, his office and staff are always professional and thoughtful and service-oriented. Highly highly recommended.

Dr Nichols & staff were polite, prompt, professional, and to the point on my procedure. Went exactly as planned. Dr. Nichols and staff talked to me the entire time thru procedure. Highly would recommend OFSM.

The office was clean and nice. The staff was attentive and polite. Dr. Nichols did a thorough examination after which he was able to explain what was happening with my jaw popping and make recommendations about how to proceed with my current dental care provider. The office visit was pleasant and relaxed.

I was very nervous about having another tooth pulled. All the employees at the office were very nice, calming and reassuring. I would definitely use Dr. Nichols again and highly recommend him and his staff to anyone who needs this type dental work done.

Had 2 wisdoms cut out today very very pleased with Dr. Nichols work. I never want to see a dentist especially a surgical dentist but if I ever have to again Dr. Nichols is the surgeon I will be seeing. Thank u Micheal.

I took my son to see Dr. Nichols today after a four wheeler accident. I was so impressed with him and his entire staff! He explained everything about the procedure to us and we left feeling very confident in choosing him to fix all that was broken!
